Shop.LEGO.com expands into five new countries
Posted by Huw,
Those of you in Slovakia, Greece, Latvia, Estonia and Slovenia can now make purchases at shop.LEGO.com. The addition of five new countries brings the total number that the website serves to 29.
Furthermore, the company is running a competition to win one of five buildable flags. To enter, make a purchase in one of the aforementioned countries and you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win the flag for your country. Alternatively, you can email [email protected], no purchase necessary.
You'll find links to find out more information after the break.
We can assume that those in other countries need not enter.

Oh, they actually didn't messed up the flags! The prices are hideous though ...
We need one in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Hope to see such a news about Ukraine one day :-)
Just wondering, how did people order before from the lego site if they lived in for example, Greece?
@LukeSkywalker
They couldn't order. The online Lego store didn't ship to those countries.
Which is why I was so freakin happy when I saw this article. I always wanted the 2018 Mos Eisley Cantina, but it's an exclusive and if I were to order it via bricklink, I would have to pay ridiculous prices for international shipping (in addition to the already overpriced MSRP). Now I can get it for only the MSRP. And if I also throw a CMF keyring next to it (which were also hard to obtain here until today), I don't even have to pay for shipping. And they will even throw in 2 little gift sets for free.
That being said, currently those are the only products worth ordering from our new lego site: exclusive sets and various little merchandise. Almost every major toy and department store in the country sells common sets 15-20% cheaper than MSRP, so there is no reason to pay full price for them on the website.
The other thing I was very excited for when I read the news was Bricks & Pieces, but when I tried to log in, my country wasn't listed in the dropdown menu, so I couldn't order. I really hope that feature will soon be available in here too. Even though their sortiment is smaller than bricklink, I always found it very appealing that you're getting 100% brand new bricks straight from the manufacturer sealed in a polybag just for you. Does anyone know whether B&P will be available to these new countries? Currently there are 23 countries in the dropdown menu, so I really hope they just haven't added the new ones yet.
Still waiting for a store here in Brazil that isn't located in a mall dedicated to very very rich people
@LukeSkywalker
TLG can only ship to countries where LEGO.com operates. This means you need to have a person (friends, relative, other) in that country and be able to receive your order. I've done this numerous times, so troubles placing an order in Lithuania with Delivery to Germany. It is then up to you how do you want your ordered items to be delivered back home.
@LukeSkywalker
I ordered from SAH and had the packages delivered to the address in Austria/Italy where I picked them up. Costly but there was no other way.
@cselenka
I can't agree more. B&P was the feature I was waiting the most, to be honest. Apparently my waiting hours haven't ended just yet...
I wonder why the prices vary so much between "old lego" countries and "new ones"? Why DO prices vary between the countries? And don't say the taxes differ, because the price differences are not consistent. All "old lego" countries have the same prices in Euro but prices in "new lego" countries vary up to 25% at the first glance. Take a look at the large Technic Bugatti Chiron set...
@Luka Lobe. Hi I didn't notice that there is more expensive LEGO prices in new contries. As I am also in one of the new ones (Slovakia) and there are regular prizes compared to other EU countries.
We really need a store for each of the EU countries, as there is an upcoming EU legislation that makes it illegal to ship to some countries, but not to others, iirc. Bulgaria still doesn't have its own store, and apparently the same goes for Romania, Croatia, Lithuania. Am I missing someone?
Yay for Slovakia!
