UK brand store calendar reveals Black Friday offers

Posted by ,

Next month's brand store calendar has been published which provides us with information about the gift with purchases during the month and over the Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend

  • 40289 Diagon Alley free with purchases over £80, 5-21 November
  • 40292 Christmas Gift Box free with purchases over £85, 22-26 November
  • 5005251 Penguin Winter Hut free with purchases over £35, 22-26 November, in store only.

I have to say, the spend thresholds seem a little high this year...

Thanks to Promobricks for the news, where the back page of the sheet can be seen, in German.

Still nothing about Bricktober sets :-(

By in United States,

That's a somewhat narrow window for the Christmas Gift Box. Curious to see if the dates are the same for the US.

The minibuild looks like a mixel. Don't tell me their bringing THEM back again...
Does anyone know what it says on the back of the calendar yet? I bet they'll have some of the deals there too.

Its going to be an expensive Month..... to get FREE items.... hook, line and sinker...........

By in United States,

Looking forward to that Christmas Box. Assuming it'll be the same window, give or take, in the US. But where is the Christmas Carousel (40293) set? No official word anywhere. What with that and no Holiday Countdown calendar at all, feel like Lego is a little off the pace this year...

By in Puerto Rico,

Nothing SW related so I will hold onto my triple ship order (Tie, Y-Wing and X-Wing) for now....

Nothing to get excited about for me. Sure, the box is nice, but not that nice...

£80??? To qualify for a HP mini-figure and the worst vomit of bricks I've seen since I stopped looking on Brickshelf? This, after the Black VIP card debacle? Honestly, the promotions department really aren't making any friends here.

By in United Kingdom,

The only good promotional set is the penguin hut and it’s only available at lego stores and my local store is 70 miles away :(

By in Ireland,

Disappointing if the penguin hut is only available from Lego stores.

the Gift box is 16x16 with a detailed interior; it’s a big spend for a big freebie!

By in Japan,

I would love the penguin hut but my closest lego store is around 7,000 kms away.

It will have to be the christmas gift box set then. I have been waiting to purchase the winter village set - i hope it meets the minimum spend requirement!!

I was gonna pass but yep, the xmas box is quite good. Another set to keep mint in unopened box! Why do we not just open them and enjoy building?? Note to self: open it and build it on xmas day!

@Minifig290 and @LukeSkywalker, The so-called 'store exclusives' sometimes eventually appear elsewhere. For example, Party Banana Juice Bar which was supposed to be a 'gift'-with-purchase LEGO store exclusive wound up being sold in my local Sainsbury's for £4.

Well that’s a bit more expensive than I’d hoped for

Definite 'price creep' on promo thresholds in the UK. Not a good prospect for future promos.

I personally found it hard enough to hit threshold for the minifigure frame which I wanted for the minifig itself. Even worse is the fact that Bricks and Pieces don't count. Literally all my spending with LEGO.com is B&P nowadays.

For some reason I thought that we'd seen the US November calendar already, and none of the three (Diagon Alley, Penguin Girl, nor Gift Box) were shown....

I am also wondering about the Brictober set availability and trying to decide if I want to throw myself on the Ebay grenade now, before it gets worse....At least for the Marvel one (Finally a Wong! That nearly completes my Infinity War collection!)
