Overwatch sets officially revealed and available for pre-order!

"Cheers, love, the cavalry's here!"
BlizzCon 2018 has kicked off today, and LEGO was there to officially reveal their Overwatch line. Of course, Target kind of already beat them to the punch last week. However, LEGO was able to give us some better views of the characters and more, which you can see after the break thanks to BricksFanz! You can also see more images of the sets in the database.
And if you're in Anaheim for the event, remember to check out the life-sized D.Va model on the showfloor and purchase the limited-edition 75987 Omnic Bastion.
Furthermore, LEGO's microsite has been updated with some fancy new graphics, and the entire wave is now ready for preorder - a first for a theme like this. They will be available on January 1st, and will ship the same day. Don't delay!
Let us know what you think of everything in the comments below!
Widowmaker, Tracer

Genji, Hanzo

Soldier: 76, McCree, Reaper

Reinhardt, D.Va

Pharah, Mercy, Reaper, Winston

Bastion

YAY the Bastion looks awesome!
Loving the look of Bastion. I have no interest in the game at all but that transforming model looks amazing!
So much investment in amazing new prints & moulds...
I hope we won't lose out on a LEGO in-house theme while this one is in production.
Ugh D.Va is so good
Preorder placed
I really only care about the figures in these sets
Bastion is so damn good. I wish Lego published more detailed pictures. We can't tell if Hanzo, Reinhardt or 76 have alternate faces. We can't even see Pharah's face! Guess I'll have to wait for Jang reviews.
Based on what I see here, I'll be getting Tracer x Widowmaker, the Hanamura set and maybe Reinhartd and D.va (her winking face looks weird with that crooked mouth).
I really like Winston, Reaper, Genji, Reinhardt, and Pharah. Bastion looks cool, though he seems
massively oversized to me.
The coloration of Genji's armor still seems off (though it looks more consistantly off here than the Target images) but beyond that the figures look great! Wish they showed off Pharah and Mercy with their wings.
Is there supposed to be a photo of the Omnic Bastion set in the More Images tab of Watchpoint: Gibraltar?
Since LEGO now find the $ to invest into new niche themes, can they please go back to printing on tiles for City theme. I hope they haven't started to forget their core collectors.
Preorders for Lego sets now... Ugh. Lego partners with a video game publisher and immediately sinks to their level huh? I suppose it goes without saying , but dont preorder them until we get some info on their distribution, since if they get a normal release they'll definitely be available cheaper elsewhere
@magmafrost- Lego preorders started with the 71043 Hogwarts Castle set and started online with Darth Vader's Castle. It's not just because they made a theme based off of a video game.
@magmafrost - out of curiosity, why do you hate pre-orders?
Decided to pre-order the Tracer and D.Va sets. See how things work with LEGO.
Really kinda bummed that these won’t be available for xmas. My daughter loved the exclusive set I ordered her off the blizzard website, thought I would be able to wrap up the rest of my shopping with these. Guess these will be birthday instead.
@LegoCreep my issue with preorders in video games is a long and complicated issue, but it basically boils down to video game publishers being some of the least trustworthy companies in existence
The only issue I have with these sets being available for preorder is just that anybody who pays RRP for Lego is choosing to be ripped off. Unlike video game publishers, TLG *does* consistently deliver the product they advertise. But I just find it interesting that Lego opts to imitate the video game industry's BS for sets based on a video game.
I will definitely be getting most if not all of these sets. But... I’m going to preorder, rather short on spending money right now. Hopefully they won’t be impossible to get!
Not going to lie, Soldier 76's har looks kind of ugly. Reminds me a lot of bad custom minifigs, and looks way too chunky.
Still got no idea what Overwatch is but those figures do look good, especially the ladies.
Might have to Bricklink those.
I'm spewing that they weren't released at Blizzcon 2018. I have a mate there (from Aus) who was on strict instructions to buy an and all Overwatch sets on sale (barring the Bastion that is already available).
Is the Pre-Order just in the US? I just get the usual coming soon........
Genji helmet would be good to make an Omega minifigure.
@Lego34s: Same here.
looking forward to BrickLinking Winston
@magmafrost Wait, how is paying RRP being ripped off? Surely if someone wants to purchase directly from Lego, (with the accumulation of VIP points notwithstanding), then it’s not being frauded because they’re paying the RRP?
@chrisaw, I treat rrp as the worst case scenario, and factor in wider availability into the realistic retail price (eg 20% off, or whether they fit a price bracket that regularly gets reduced to a certain price in sales). Some sets I'm happy to watch sit on the shelves until they get reduced to clear- where Overwatch sits in the pricing structure probably won't be clear until they've been sitting on the shelves for a while.
I'm not entirely sure what Overwatch is, so I'll do my research, because I like the way it looks. They have already shown up on Kijiji here, but at a premium of course.
I really like most of the figures, and Bastion is totally cool.
I have just one question: when he transforms, where does the bird go? Projectile?
@Seven7 the bird is a living being and doesn't participate in the matches. It only appears in a cinematic and in the Victory Pose post game.
I have never even heard of overwatch, but these look so detailed and I love the new hair pieces!
@chrisaw its not a ripoff in that they're being frauded. Its a ripoff in that they're paying more than the product is worth, and more than they have to pay for the product, because Lego so reliably and frequently goes on sale, stores charge less than RRP, etc. If you're paying any more than 80% of the RRP, unless there are special circumstances like exclusives or promos you're paying more than you need to, and are thus being ripped off
Wait... is Reaper’s trench coat a trench coat? Or just a cape..?
@magmafrost Some people actually value the product enough to pay full MSRP. Shocking, I know.
Well, yeah, I have no issues paying RRP if I believe the product is worth it. And don’t feel I’m being ripped off either. Of course, that’s my prerogative as a consumer - no one is forcing me or anyone else to buy anything.
In regards to Overwatch, I’ve never played it and don’t have much interest in the sets, but I’m sure these are a great win for fans of the game.
I've never played Overwatch but some of those minifigs look dandy to me!
I want Mei and Snowball!! :'(
They look great.
