Here's more information about the second issue of the new Brick Fanatics magazine:

Fresh off the printers, let’s take a look inside the latest issue of the brand new print publication all about LEGO, which is now published monthly.

Issue 2 of Brick Fanatics Magazine previews The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part with an interesting walk through Apocalypseburg, courtesy of those at the LEGO Group who created it. Exclusive interviews, never-before-seen artwork and behind-the-scenes concept work provides readers with a unique look at how the world of Bricksburg was taken into the apocalypse for the 2019 sequel to 2014’s The LEGO Movie.

Alongside this, Vice-President of Design Matthew Ashton reveals the unique design story behind the creation of Unikitty, and then, Ultrakatty, whilst Senior LEGO Designer Nicolaas Vás takes us on a set tour of 70831 Emmet’s Dream House/Rescue Rocket!

There’s much more packed into Issue 2 too, including a piece exploring how the latest, smallest Sandcrawler shouldn’t be overlooked because of its size, and a true test of how tough – and waterproof – the App-Controlled Batmobile really is.

We consider the new LEGOLAND opening in South Korea, analyse a brand new colour released by the LEGO Group, and reflect on NINJAGO’s decision to go back to its roots.

There’s the small matter of our three, fascinating LEGO insider columns, a look at one of the first Creator 3-in-1 sets from 2007, and we revisit the classic Western set of many a childhood, 6769 Fort Legorado.

Brick Fanatics Magazine is an 80-page, A5 print publication, available for purchase via our website. There are regular sections such as Review+, On Topic and Retro, as well as insightful, interesting and inspirational features, builds, interviews and so much more. For just £5, $8 or €8.25, there’s a lot each month to hold in your hands. And it’s even cheaper if you subscribe, and you’d really be supporting the work that we are doing, so go do that!

By in United States,

I am only now actually looking at these news articles so I don’t know anything about these magazines. That being said, is it possible to get it printed in English?

By in United Kingdom,

It's only published in Latin, I'm afraid... :-)

By in United States,

Oh well, my only question then is why is the cover printed entirely in English while the rest is all Latin?

worth getting as well as blocks mag or not?

@AgentR2 Don't forget the article titles and synopsis.

In either case, it just looks like another Blocks Magazine or similar.

This is only for those who speak Latin. I thought everyone spoke it fluently as well. Hmm. Guess I was wrong. Tough Luck! Better grab google translate! :)

By in United States,

Actually we call that Greek in the advertising biz, at least here in the US. It's just place holder copy and will be replaced when the real copy is written. Hopefully, those shots were from the production layouts and not "fresh off the printers"!

By in United Kingdom,

It is a little bit random to say 'let's look inside' and then have placeholding text haha....I can't wait to read more comments from those who are not fluent in Latin.

By in United Kingdom,

I ordered this issue of the magazine as a one off on 15 Jan (after reading previous article posted on Brickset) and I'm still waiting to receive it! I'm also still waiting for a reply to a chaser email sent on Tue. When was this issue mailed out? I had assumed issue 2 was available when it was mentioned the first time round.

Come for the LEGO news, stay for the Latin and Goldblum jokes... I salute you, @Captain Mutant, for winning the internet.

As a subscriber to Blocks from the beginning, which I enjoy and read cover to cover, I'd like to know if this is worth getting. But nowhere are there pictures of *real* inside spreads/articles for this or the first issue, and I've yet to see any review by anyone of the first magazine, only advertising blurb. Anyone got issue 1 who'd like to share?

@drlmiles I got issue 1 to see if it would be worth a subscription and I'm pretty sure I left some comments when it was featured here on Brickset (although might have been on the forum). That issue came across as a sampler, which I suppose it was, so not particularly in depth and nothing stood out from articles I could find elsewhere in other mags or online. I too have been a Blocks subscriber from the pilot issue (as I was with the other one but let's not go there) and I enjoy the monthly read through, but with that plus the excellent Hispabricks as a free download plus all the interweb stuff that's available, I decided I had no need for another Lego magazine.

By in France,

I know Brickset members often comment on prices and exchange rates so here is my pinch of salt:

£5 or €8.25 ????!!!!!

Does that include postage to Europe (if yes then ok) or do they simply want us to laugh out loud ? I suppose we could insult them in Latin so no one would understand.....

Taken a punt on the 1st 2 issues but am very loathed to take out a subscription other than Blocks magazine after still being owed issues or a refund on a certain other Lego publication!

@handyandi I think that ship has long sailed, my friend! I wrote that loss off some time ago. All £55.77 worth of it - could have got some actual LEGO with that in hindsight!

By in United States,

Latin? I thought it was a dead language. And the cover isn't in Latin?
