More summer sets in 2HY LEGO catalog
Posted by CapnRex101,
LEGO has published a catalogue that contains products for the second half of 2019, including numerous sets which have not been revealed previously from Speed Champions, The LEGO Movie 2 and Technic, among other themes.
You can view these sets after the break...
DUPLO
- 10899 Frozen Ice Castle (August)
Disney
Minecraft
Speed Champions
- 75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 (August)
- White version of the lime green Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 from 75888 Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0.
Technic
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
- 70847 Good Morning Glitter Babies (August)
- 70848 Systar System Party Team (August)
- 70849 Wyld-Chaos Starfighter (August)
I would like to suggest 70847 Good Morning Glitter Babies as a candidate for the best set name of all time!
Which of these new sets interest you? Let us know in the comments.

That Porsche is cool.
Why is the Frozen set re-released? They could’ve just made the set be available. Seems wasted. And as a collector of all things LEGO Disney, I need the set..
But clearly a must have for the Duplo Frozen. WOW. And new babies. I am totally sold.
I hope that the new Disney set has a minor difference from the last..
Figured the mysterious Elsa Palace was a rerelease of the old one to coincide with the upcoming wave of Frozen II sets!
Cool images - I'll likely get the Babies and Disco TLM2 sets but that's it
Like the big Technic sets but all will depend on the pricing
A re-release and a reskin? What is this, mid-2000s LEGO Star Wars?
I do actually quite like the others though. I second the Glitter Babies sentiment, and the Wyldstyle starfighter is great.
Nice, but what i'm actually looking forward the most in the Ideas treehouse. I wish they'd announce it. Maybe a new fairground attraction? Wouldn't know how they could top the rollercoaster though.
I NEED MORE HARRY POTTER!
Ah, some technic reveals. I need to see more on the car carrier, I could see it being a very visual oriented model rather than anything with particularly interesting functions and mechanisms. Sort of similarly, it seems like a lot of the compact crane's functions are driven pretty directly, but I do think that construction stuff makes for generally more interesting technic sets.
Question is, what's what? I think the RC 4×4 is our £230 set, while the car carrier will be the £160 entry. It's big, but empty. That compact crane might come in at the £110 slot, like last year's concept Volvo.
Let's not talk about how much that big white thing is going to retail for
Mostly just excited for TLM2 and mildly interested in Technic. But still great to know what's coming!
They are all intersesting me, except Duplo
Glam Benny! So happy that figure made it to a set.
Was hoping to see Justice League set(s) from the Lego Movie 2.
The Speed Champions '74 911 and Glitter Babies are must have's. The rest not so much. Any word on when that awesome Tree House Ideas set will be released? That's the one I'm most looking forward to. Oh, and we should be getting another Creator Expert Fairground set. Although I've yet to gather the funds for last year's Roller Coaster :(
70847 and 70848 are must-haves forme
The Classic Porsche 911 being sold seperately could be one of my first Speed Champions sets.
I know it's a recolor, but the simple fact of being sold seperately does make a difference for some people.
Same could be said about the 1967 Mini, if it were it's own set.
@DarthRaved, it doesn't show Ideas, Creator Expert, or Exclusive sets (like the just announced big Jurassic Park or Stranger Things sets for example).
Also I have a feeling that potential Overwatch sets might not be revealed until around Blizzcon 2019 (November)
Finally a standalone Porsche 911! Was that so hard, Lego?
Glitter. Babies.
Honestly?
@KyloRen0806: Maybe they used the opportunity of the set returning to production to make structural changes addressing customer service complaints about the old one?
I can't SEE any obvious changes but it's definitely possible, similar to how there were more internal changes between the old and new Vestas Wind Turbine than were visible in the LEGO.com or catalog pictures. And we have seen LEGO give sets a new number because of changes like this on occasion, particularly 10213-1 and its replacement 10231-1 (which came out less than a year later).
Another potential change that's hard to verify for certain in the catalog pic, but still fairly plausible, would be changing https://brickset.com/parts/6254245/ from Transparent Fluorescent Blue (Trans-Medium Blue) to Transparent Light Blue or Transparent Blue (Trans-Dark Blue). From what I can tell, the color Transparent Fluorescent Blue does not appear in any of this year's other sets, and I suspect LEGO may have finally retired it for good after several years of declining use.
I LOVE the new LEGO Movie 2 sets — Systar System versions of Benny and Metalbeard were to be expected, but I also love getting a new ship for the Systar System fleet, and the third set with the Glitter Babies is a wonderful, colorful surprise! This reveal seems to support my hypothesis that the reason for these three sets getting revealed and released later than the rest of the summer wave was because some of them contain more spoilers for the film's final act than others revealed so far.
That said I do hope that we see even more sets later this year or early next year, featuring other ships from the film's third act as well as the third, still unreleased member of Balthazar's vampire mini-doll squad!
Technic seems pretty neat this year also! Not sure if any of those sets will make it onto my wish list (most Technic sets I've gotten in the past several years have just been ones I found deep discounts on), but in the very least I do look forward to reading or watching some reviews of the two largest sets so I can learn more about the user experience of the Technic Control+ app, smart hub, and motors. I generally prefer written reviews with photos to video reviews, but I suspect in this case some video will be needed to really get a feel for the experience and functions.
I'm surprised we still haven't gotten any more info on the two unreleased Overwatch sets that we heard about from Nuremberg Toy Fair reports earlier in the year.
I was so hoping for some more Classic Space related sets from TLM2 :( :( :(
Are all the summer sets coming in august??
@Aanchir, as with Overwatch, last year May the theme was teased, but it wasn't until November Blizzcon until official reveal (not counting the exclusive Blizzcon store Bastion).
Sets were known 1 week before due to an error from Target however.
So if any new sets are there, maybe Blizzcon is the highest likely chances for some official news as they aren't in the catalog obviously.
No Blizzard at Gamescom 2019 :
https://news.blizzard.com/en-gb/blizzard/22937753/blizzard-and-gamescom-2019
Oh, fan-flipping-tastic. Now I HAVE to buy that AMAZING TECHNIC CRANE. And FABULOUS Metalbeard.
WHY DO I KEEP COMING BACK TO THIS WEBSITE??
The Porsche will be mine. I did not but the Porsche in green because I had to buy a set with two cars, but this one, on its own, is perfect for me (I like Porsche, but I cannot afford them).
And those babies are awesome, the ones I have (https://brickset.com/sets/853865-1/TLM2-Accessory-Set-2019) will be ery happy to have more friends of their size!!
I need that Porshe, on wanted list!
@HeriSanmi same opinion with the Porsche as well, the €40 set had €25 worth of things I didn't really want, now a €15 seperate set is better.
The Porsche for my SC layout. The UFO ride for my fairground layout. :)
@TeriXeri:
Being a recolor may also be a selling point for this car. Besides the fact that Porsche and lime-green aren't two things you see going hand-in-hand, the lime-green version always made me think of this:
https://worldofcarsdrivein.fandom.com/wiki/Celine_Dephare
The white color should help lighten up the inside of the headlights and help quell that reaction.
@Aanchir:
10213/10231 was an odd situation because there are now _three_ variants of that same set. There's 10213 built stock, 10213 built with the repair kit, and 10231 built stock as they made more changes than the repair kit addressed. And it's the only time I can recall them changing the set on the fly but releasing the second version under a new set number. TMNT's Shellraiser went through more extensive changes (so much that Bricklink pointedly cataloged it as a different set rather than trying to keep track of the differences), and Wall-E had what I would argue was a more critical change. Neither got new set numbers. Winter Village gets really weird because every year that the bring one of these sets back, they may have to make subtle changes just to avoid burning new frames on old parts. Mostly I think this has involved swapping out minifig heads that weren't in production at the time for ones that were. Well, except for when the dragged the Toy Shop back from the dead and released it as a new set (with some structural changes, some color tweaks, and some updates to the store's toy selection).
I am so excited for Disney princess duplo adventure. Obviously the best set here.
lego should make bmw m3 gtr
That porsche is a must have. Can't wait to hear about the ideas treehouse and hopefully a new creator expert fairground set. Also going crazy about that awsome new Jurassic world t rex set. Interested in the big white technic set to.
@weoOOO or a 2018 BMW M5
That new Creeper Mine looks interesting. The sheep farm looks fairly bleh though.
Love the Technic car transporter. And the white 911. The set that contains the green one is one of my favorite Speed Champions sets anyway.
The white 911 is lovely, but I had high hopes for something completely different, like a Lambo or a Mercedes 300 SL. Or finally something Japanes, like a GT-R. Would also love to see police cars, licensed cars (like Knight Rider etc.), pickups, trucks, vans. I wouldn't solely focus on race cars or sports cars. Having said that, best theme besides Ninjago, no doubt.
Definitely getting that 911 Turbo, was pretty bummed that the old one came in a 2 car set that cost more than twice as much as one. Seemed like Lego kept putting the old cars in sets on two or more, maybe that's stopping? Also the spider crane looks interesting, good on technic for doing some different stuff this season.
Makes total sense to release more Lego Movie 2 sets now that the movie has been out of the theaters for months.
The blue Technic car almost looks like the new Camaro. Fitting, especially since it looks around the same scale as the Corvette. I bed they'd look neat on the truck together.
Also, even after 2 years I can't get over just how ridiculous the large wheels look on the 911. First thing I'm doing is getting some normal Speed Champs wheels and hubcaps to fix it.
Glitter babies!
Interesting to they’re releasing Elsa’s Ice Palace. I’m not sure I’m so interested to get one of the new sets to see what the differences are, but interesting nonetheless.
"MY LEG IS A PIANO"
No Star Wars or superheros, but we get LEGO Movie 2 FOUR months after the movie....
Also, on a Speed Champions note,
WHY is NO ONE talking about the FORZA EXPANSION
I'll be honest, I want that Turtle Rescue from the Friends line to gift to my mother.
The Porsche is the only must for me, although I do like the new LM2 sets....so maybe. I mostly need to try to get some of the older large sets that could be in danger of retiring some time this year.
Definitely picking up the Porsche but I am tempted by the car carrier and crane, especially since the carrier and the corvette are compatable
Disco Benny!
I will buy the car carrier if it scales well to carry other cars I own. I suspect it will be an excellent set but not big enough for clasdoc Creator cars
Anticlimactic.
Lonely blue car on the carrier. :-(
70848 will be the death of me. I barely managed to escape my 200th hour of listening to Catchy Song in the first two months of the year leading up to the movie's release thanks to some new album releases coinciding with it, but it's June now...
The other new set I want most that hitherto hasn't been mentioned on Brickset at all is 11004-1 Windows of Creativity. It's basically an introduction to window NPU (Nice Part Usage), but I'm just really interested in those colorful windows. Only problem is its significantly worse price-to-part ratio than 10703-1 Creative Builder Box, making it pretty difficult to get multiple copies of.
6 Wants for me, all TLM2 (great to get a Disco Kitty for a better price) Speed Champions im pretty much sold on before I know which one it is..... hope its slightly different though, they did this last year with a Ferrari... 95% the same as one in a larger set. And two Technic sets I would like but probably wont be able to justify/afford, unless Amazon go mad for Black Friday etc
Brilliant idea for releasing 911 as a separate set. 250 GTO from highly expensive Ferrari Garage would be even more lovely.
Weird thing, the rerelease of Elsa's Palace is. I can't spot any differences!
I like the SC Porche.... I did buy the 7588 set mainly for the lime green one, so I already have a 3.0 Turbo, but will gladly add the white one to my collection...
Still doubting to get this years 75894 Mini set or not.. I really would like to have the Monte Carlo Mini, but have no interest at all in the buggy abomination..
So fingers crossed they also release a single classic Mini set in the near future..
as i didn't get the lime green one, happy to get one in white. and look forward to the minecraft sets
The catalogue link at the top is the old 1st half catalogue, jan - june.
All 2HY catalogues have disappeared from the LEGO catalogues site, now the link lands on the 1HY catalogue. :(
Has anybody saved the new catalogue pages?
Aanchir: I do hope that some changes have been included. Other sets have been changed when they were available but they never got a new number. It will be interesting when reviews are landing (hopefully) of the set, and if they compare the old and new to see if it’s worthy the money. I understand Frozen is coming back because of the sequel, but they could just have remained the first one. Also, a Frozen Ice Castle with a bigger size kinda like Star Wars’ USC would be amazing.
Boring rehashes and phone gimmicks nobody wants. That Movie II ship is a part-starved Bongo.
The only interesting thing on there is 'ROCKETMAN' Benny.
Definitely getting the Systar System Party Team just for Disco Benny and the Speed Champions Porsche.
Interested in the car transporter. I wonder how many current sets are scaled to fit on that thing.
Wish they would’ve released the RSR as a standalone Speed Champions set instead
TLM2 stuff's the only thing I'm interested here; The Porsche was close (if it was another color than white, or its horrible green). Of the three TLM2 sets, only 'Glitter Babies' and 'Party Team' look the best, and....wish they did some more spaceships (spaceSHIPS, SPAC...I'll stop). Come to think of it: a set based the township of 'Heck' (at least a couple houses and a swack of figures, since we're probably not getting another CMF...:)).
@CCC:
Yup, nothing like inspiring a new generation of arsonists with toys...

A little too late for a solo classic Porsche. I already have the green one. Why would I wanna buy a plain white one?
911 for sure. Cheap, and decently done. Now that Spider Crane all depends on price. I like it quite a bit.
I will pick up 2 of the LEGO movie sets and maybe the Porsche. I never did get that green one, because it was green (and more expensive).
Other than what we already know is releasing, the second half of the year will be surprisingly cheaper. HP will eat up most of my money and smooth sailing from there.
I wonder what the Winter set will be.
I wonder if the existence of that Porsche means they might release that excellent Mini on its own some day...
The LM2 spaceship is a gungan bongo with goober fish bites taken out of it.
Gosh, I'm going to have to buy the 42100 Liebherr R 9800... and I'm still building my 42082 Rough Terrain Crane haha...
I wonder if those 2 little front pods on the 70849 Wyld-Chaos Starfighter will detatch to become little fighters? I hope so! XD
I do not mind re-releases. But it would be better to keep the original number or to change it with adding some index. For example, it could be 41148-1 (or something like this) instead of 43172.
Couldn't LEGO re-release some Toy Story (2010) sets with moulded heads, please? :)))
Wait, so just one more Speed Champion? Not even that actually, just a different color? Thats a shame. I mean, I will probably get like 4 of it anyway but still!
I want to build an RWB kit for the Porsche! I also have the green one.
