77901 Sith Trooper Bust revealed!
Posted by CapnRex101,
Yahoo! has unveiled another LEGO model which will be exclusively available at San Diego Comic-Con. 77901 Sith Trooper Bust takes inspiration from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
This set will be available for lottery winners to purchase at the convention, costing $45.00.
You can view its packaging and a larger, life-size model after the break...
The packaging includes the phrase 'early release edition' which potentially suggests that the same model might become available elsewhere later, although that has not been confirmed.
Furthermore, this life-size rendition of a Sith Trooper will be displayed at San Diego Comic-Con:
Are you impressed with this set and the design of the Sith Trooper from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? Let us know in the comments.

They look cool! He makes a nice departure from the 'standard' stormtrooper, and feel sufficiently unique from what has come before. They are like a cross between phase 2 clones and the first order stormtroopers
Is that (new) dark red or bright red? I'm hoping the former.
Omg I am a sucker for red things, so I LOVE THIS. The Praetorian Guards were my favorite thing from TLJ Zane this is JUST AS COOL!
The Minifigure version of this figure leaked today as well and its.... ok. Lego’s FO helmet mold isn’t great
They should've kept the name "Sith Trooper" exclusive to the troops from the Old Republic era, whether those will be canon or not. Snoke and Kylo were never referred to as Sith, just random darksiders. Maybe these guys should've kept the designation "Red Fury Troopers" from the leaks.
Regardless, the suit looks very good and the bust is a nice replica.
Hopefully if this does make it to a wider release stage they will add the Vader bust from earlier in the year to that release also. Love SW and would love to add them both to my collection! If not then hope the instructions come out like the Vader one too and it has parts that can be Bricklinked :D
I was gonna say these guys look like a cross between FO troopers and CW Troopers (order 66), I wonder......
This looks nice.
@Lordmoral - I think the Clone Trooper resemblance is just in the bust, a result of the slightly pointier domed helmet made by the building technique. Other non-Lego Sith Trooper leaks basically confirm them to be recolored First Order Stormtroopers. Perhaps they're a new uniform for the Knights of Ren under Kylo Ren's First Order leadership.
So I guess we'll get a high price vehicle set this Winter with 1 or 2 Sith Trooper minifigs included, then a Sith Trooper Battlepack in 2020?
I too was hoping the design would be a bit more than just a recoloured FO stormie, but as other commentators note the images released to date seem to confirm they will be just that.
Maybe some special weapons or accessories will enhance their appeal, but nethertheless I will always welcome a new stormie in my collection.
What's the betting we'll get a "Shadow" FO stormie, ie. a grey/black recolour, at some point in the future?
Someone slipped in the wet paint.
Just looks like a FO Stormtrooper to me, but red.
Fingers crossed regarding the possible "early release edition" implications. If this becomes convention- and region-exclusive only by virtue of special edition packaging and maybe a unique plaque or other supplement with a world-wide release to follow, that would be fantastically consumer-friendly.
Very very neat design, I will have to admit. I always like the idea of Lego doing busts because of the awesome display potential. Now, all the con exclusives are fine, but I'm fine with missing out on a lot of them. This is certainly a nice design but I'm fine missing out on this one. I haven't played the Spiderman PS4 game so that figure isn't as bad to me. The Batman suit is a very niche suit from the 90's. Really the only one that's somewhat a pity is the captain marvel exclusive set due to the exclusive figures... I can certainly see why many people are angry at Lego for doing these con exclusives where really only a small portion can have the chance of getting one and even then, a lot of those people who do win sell them on the second market for pretty crazy prices... As for the design of the new Stormtrooper, I personally find it very appealing because it looks like the Royal Guard Stormtrooper suits from Star Wars Legends. I guess Disney is borrowing from Legends ;)
This makes me think of some kind of "(Stormtrooper) Red", so the Sith can pretend to be caring about AMDS (acquired midichloriandeficiency syndrome) in impoverished, third-world star systems.
I'm happy it's another bust, cuz I won't be sad to not be at SDCC.
So you'd need to
1. Live in, near or travel to San Diego
2. Get a Comic Con ticket
3. Win a lottery
4. Pay 40$
to own this.
Thanks, I'm fine without it.
With a few tweaks here n there this could be made into an imperial guard or the red skull..
I think next comi con lego should produce C3-P0 or captain plasma.
Can the life size one be a set?
@SirZed Or you can just buy it on ebay for the same price of a ticket, $40, and then some and have it shipped to you.
It’d be really cool if the lifesize one is actually a suit, and some actor in it is going to scare the bejesus out of SDCC-goers on the Lego-stand.
;)
Another exclusive? Well, I guess there will be a day where all Lego sets will be SDCC exclusive.
red make everything in star wars cool: red lightsaber, palpetines elite guards, snokes guards and now stormtroopers
@richl let’s hope not; haven’t even gotten a good look at any of them besides Kylo, so making them all uniform would just be stupid. Of course, they’re unlikely to be utilized well anyway given the single film left in which to feature them.
