Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker sets appearing on shelves
Posted by CapnRex101,
Multiple sets based upon Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian will be available on the 4th of October. However, they are already starting to appear in North America, including at Walmart where this photo was taken by Brickset member Eno Razzi.
Furthermore, images on the Brickset members Facebook group confirm that sets are available at some Boscov's department stores and MandRproductions was able to find the entire collection at a toy shop in Tampa, Florida.
We are expecting an official announcement quite soon so will be waiting until then before adding high-resolution images to the database.
Have you found any of these sets in your local area? Let us know in the comments.

Waiting for LEGO Legal to ask you to remove this in 3... 2... 1....
So TLG allows them on shelves before officially announcing them... weird. Seems like this never happens (Sarcasm Bug bites are itchy!).
Just2Good and Mand for some reason always find sets early in Florida. For some reason I gather people are very lax in enforcing set release dates in several Florida stores.
@LegoSolo77 it's not Lego allowing them on the shelves, its more employees ignoring the signs on the boxes that tell them not to put them on the shelf before Oct 4. The inventory has to obviously arrive at stores/warehouses before Oct 4 so it can be available for that date.
@Sammael, we waited for photos clearly showing the sets in stores before posting so that there can be no recriminations.
Just2Good and Mandr have already reviewed some of the new sets - so some shops/sources already sold them :)
I've seen images of these over a month ago. Lego leaks happen way before images end up on brickset. Downside for brickset is by the time you can "legally" post images of most new sets, it's old news.
I never expected to see a regional department store chain like Boscov's mentioned here.
Great stores by the way, and the founder of the chain was just an absolutely great person.
And even more fascinating for me, after all leaks and sets already on shelves, is that that non of these set has not been officially revealed by LEGO yet, LOL, what are they waiting for? xD
What happened to the inside of that shuttle's wing?
@randomly_generated I think wings are 99% same just folding feature is added in the empty space on the back.
I imagine it goes something like this: Manager: "Get that stuff on the shelves." Employee: "The box says not to put out until October 4th." Manager: " I said, get that stuff on the shelves."
exciting another Kylo Ren Shuttle, all in black - yawn
this one actually came up on the price checker. $129.00
I saw the Resistance Y-Wing at the Meijer on 8 Mile Road in the Metro Detroit area. I was all "Why haven't I seen this before..."
Comes with Poe and Zora Bliss and the usual assortment of "Here Because We Can" Star Wars minifigs. The set is a Y-Wing, hardly something that really needs to be embargoed, but there you go.
it sounds like to me they need space in the back for Christmas things so they needed to get them on the shelves.
I really don't like the Disney logo on these. Cheapens it somehow.
I'm buying the Y-wing immiediatly and the others on christmas
That black shuttle looks VERY similar to the one they should have made in 2015, but for some reason made it in dark bluish grey. It even has the same number of pieces and looks to have the folding wings.
Is this where we stop pretending that we didn't already know about these a month ago?
@Lego34s: All merch companies (including Lego) got early-ish concept art for Force Awakens, hence the various inaccuracies. The first releases of Hasbro and Hot Wheels shuttle models also had wrong colours and/or vertical wings.
An unfortunate result of how late in production films can change and how long the lead time for toy development is.
Do we have any UK prices for the sets yet?
@Metalizer.7734 I agree that it so crazy that the leaks and pics are everywhere but Lego won't officially acknowledge it for months but I have a feeling some of that is License Holder dictated. It's not that Lego doesn't want to just come out and show them, it's that Disney has forbid them from doing it no matter how stupid it seems.
Not gonna lie the box color scheme is very cool. The white ones were so damn boring and unappealing. And yes, some of us look at every aspect of a Lego set, even the box :D!
I Will Fulfill Our Destiny...
*pulls out wallet*
I’ve seen a handful of the sets now. There appear to be a few nice imperial (first order) figures but they are saddled with uninspiring sets. The AT-ST would be my favourite, but it is no match to the Rogue One rendition. Seems like we have to accept huge steps backwards in many aspects of new releases, i.e. quality of design, detailing, value, etc, etc. I suppose this is what you get when you rush things to cash in on the release of the new film.
As another commentator mentioned the TLJ really knocked the wind out of my sails with regard to genuine interest in the new additions to the franchise.
Again, more missed opportunities, so frustrating.
Yes here in France a supermarket chain has three of them on shelves and on web market, Pasaana chase, Death star canon and even 75255 Yoda.
Hmm - considering how inaccurate the Endgame sets were, I think I’ll be giving those sets a wide berth until the movie’s released.
I'm just happy the colors right. I take what I can get.
So the new Star Wars sets are a recolours if he Y-wing, A-wing and AT-ST, a redo of Kylo Ren’s Shuttle and another Falcon. Only one really new set. What a disappointment.
New sets are already available in LEGO Kladno factory store and thus spreading on the local classifieds.. you just dont get that PARANOID thinking.. - so they order the partners, resellers, shops to hold on to the sets for a few weeks - and totally, but totally blunt and IGNORANT they put them in the factory store??!! for the employees to buy it freely and resell it on the secondary market?
what kind of thinking is that? - somebody responsible for this (not letting the resellers to sell them + at the same time allowing the distribution within company's premises] should be FIRED.. and really swiftly - OR LEGO should stop making these childish games regarding funny stickers on the boxes " do not put on shelves before.. "
I actually really liked The Last Jedi.
But two years of non-stop complaining from people who disliked it have actually sucked the wind out of my sails too for this next film... Oh of course I am seeing it, and I sure hope to enjoy it. But its hard to get hyped when every freaking Star Wars related forum I go to turns into another complaint fest about TLJ. Loved it, hated it? I don't care anymore it has been two freaking years.
*low key though... at least everyone seems to be hyped about The Mandalorian... its the great bi-partisan Star Wars project in these divisive times...
They finally seem to have improved the Millennium Falcon considerably, minimizing the gaps in the roof.
@Captain Mutant: As bad as Endgame sets were, Star Wars has a much better track record. The Star Wars team at least tries their best to be accurate.
From the four new films, we've only had two sets (FO Snowspeeder and Heavy Scout Walker) that didn't end up being in the movie much or at all, and one with major inaccuracies (Kylo's Shuttle).
I'm willing bet that most or all the things in these sets will appear in the next trailer. It's no guarantee for how much screen time they'll have in the movie, but they'll at the very least actually be in the movie.
very frustrated by the new shuttle. i wanted to buy kylo's shuttle in 2015 but held back because of how inaccurate the dark bluish grey was, and instead went through the miserable work of finding the pieces to make a black version myself. and now here we are lmao
I the entire day on the road in my region scouring stores and found a few sets at Target locations, but upon attempting checkout each time I triggered immediate alarm and action by floor supervisors who got on their radios & ordered the entire aisles to be checked SKU by SKU & swept clean of the offending products. Stockers may have messed up, or LEGO warehouse packers may have messed up (leaving off the "DO NOT SELL BEFORE" stickers as they often do), but the computer systems have the embargo dates active preventing sales as they're supposed to.
The stores in the (usual suspect) state of Florida that first broke the contract this time are called Learning Express Toys, a nationwide franchise network. There are a handful of them in my region as well, and I called or visited 4 in my travels today. None had gotten any of the sets yet, two showed me a printout of all of the sets they were either getting or able to order, complete with embargo dates plain as day which the employees clearly understood and explained to me.
I guess it will go official on the 26th :)
