Friends Advent Calendar - Day 9

Posted by ,

Day 8's build of a snowman was the most substantial so far in this calendar, and it looks like we're starting with builds that are typically associated with the season. Will that continue with Day 9, or will it be another random build?

It actually looks like a bit of both. We see many lamp posts in advent calendars and holiday builds. This one is decked out for the season with a green wreath adorned with a star. However, I'm curious about the choice of the fuchsia colour for the post, but it does fit with the Friends colour scheme. This is functional enough, but I do miss not having red with the wreath as opposed to a star. This calendar seems determined not to celebrate in traditional colours!

By in Hungary,

A North Pole sign is usually depicted as red and white striped. I think it is that, but with friendified color.

It's a thing, I guess. Better than the bizarre gift from yesterday's Star Wars Calendar, at least.

Has the Clikits calendar been abandoned?

^ Yes, Huwbot tells me he got fed up writing them, and interest was waning after the initial 'excitement', so he can't be bothered any more :)

Oh no, I guess it was me who hurt Huwbot's feeling, by saying that it's getting boring. :(

@Huw
I feel like that was a good choice. The novelty was beginning to wear off. Fun while it lasted though, maybe try the second week next year or something.

I mean if the maroon was red, I'd like it better, but it's still cute.

@Huw Clikits was the only one I was reading! A couple days ago I read my family all the Clikits posts thus far, and they thought it was hilarious. Last night my children were eagerly asking for the next installment, but it wasn't there. Now I have to tell them the sad news.

Clickits is not my thing but I still enjoyed the posts, banter and jokes / good comments and ideas. Plus people forget this site is not all about them, and I am sure 6yo's are not posting comments, so it's just us old folks complaining like life. LOL.

By in Australia,

I, at least, hope that there's an article at some point with the rest of the Clikits calendar on display. You don't have to make it a daily thing, but I'd still like to know how it ended. I was invested in that.

I agree with previous posts. I rather enjoyed the Clikits calendar review. At the very least show us the rest of the gifts. Just quitting like that is really terrible for us poor peops with ocd.
