Friends Advent Calendar - Day 10

Day 10 already! We're almost halfway through the calendar, and racked up an impressive number of small ornaments for a tree. I think we've had ornaments every day so far, with the exception of Day 5 when we met Mia. Let's see what ornament we have for Day 11.

I'm not sure what to make of the fact that most of yesterday's comments were lamenting the lack of a Clikits entry....

This is more like it! You can't get much more in the holiday spirit with a couple of stockings, ready to be hung by the chimney. This advent calendar is proving to be a nice source of quarter circle pieces, with a couple of pieces provided on day 1 in purple and some provided here in red. The stockings look quite nice , but the dimensions are a bit off in that I expect them to be a bit taller. Though I rather like the technique of having white plates on which to place the tiles. The 1x2 plates with bars make these stockings easy to hang. Plus we have more stars! I wonder if this is going to be a theme of this calendar.

It’s not Clickits, but it’ll pass. It’s not a bad model, and has good display value.

They look good... except yeah way too short. We'll add at least an extra stud of height and green 2x2 jump plates for the stars.
