LEGO House Tree of Creativity retiring soon
Posted by Huw,
LEGO has issued a statement about the availability of one of the LEGO House exclusive sets:
Since the opening of LEGO House it has been an important milestone to create exclusive products that relate to LEGO House and adds to the LEGO House experience for the guests. The first exclusive product launched was the 21037 LEGO House in 2017, followed by 4000026 LEGO House Tree of Creativity in 2018, and then 40366 LEGO House Dinosaurs in 2019.
LEGO House has now decided to discontinue the LEGO House Tree of Creativity, in order to make shelf space for a new exclusive product arriving in late May 2020.
The Tree of Creativity was originally launched as a great reproduction of the 15,6 metre tall Tree of Creativity in LEGO Square. The most iconic features were resized into the retail model. LEGO enthusiasts will know that the LEGO Group also launched a Tree of Creativity model back in May 2017. That particular model was developed as the surprise gift for the participants of the LEGO Inside Tour.
Due to the popularity of the product and the iconic link to LEGO House, the model was chosen to become an LEGO House exclusive product. LEGO designer Steen Sig Andersen is the designer of the retail version in LEGO House and had great focus on the details.
The LEGO House Tree of Creativity will be sold until out of stock. However, a special agreement has been made to ensure that the product is available during the AFOL Day in LEGO House on the 24th September 2020.

For something so exclusive it's weird to be retired so soon, but it stuck around much longer than general release products. Hopefully the secondhand market doesn't get too out of control with it
I’m assuming the 2020 set will remain exclusive to Lego house and not be available everywhere?
Loved visit the last year, managed to get all 3 of the mentioned exclusives sets above and it was a real highlight of the visit finally getting my hands on them. Roll on some new sets and another trip!!
This announcement will be a cue for all the scalpers to visit the House and hoard them...
It's the least desirable of the three, IMO.

So, the King is dead, long live the King?
Thanks for the news. If I remember correctly most of the parts for the tree are fairly common. So while it isn't the same as having the set, people may still be able to build it if they are comfortable ordering parts on Bricklink.
I was wondering how long the exclusive sets at the LH would remain on shelves ...
I agree with @Huw that it may be the least appealing of the three exclusives, but it is still a really good one with enjoyable building, and it's a nice souvenir !
At least it was incentive enough to decide me to take the time to write a review about it !
Well it’s not something you see everyday.

I've thought that too, and was about to get the parts list and see what I had, but I couldn't find instructions anywhere so didn't bother. Does anyone know if a .pdf of the instructions is available anywhere?
I have never been there and probably will never be able to. So no big deal for me, especially as the set itself does little for me. I guess it's more interesting for people who actually visit the LEGO House. Plus, the minfig torso appears to be the only exclusive piece in the set, making for an easy rebrick, should the need/wish arise.
Who lives close
To Lego house and wants to ship the Lego fans in the states some of these! I need one
As much of a shame it is for unique sets like this to retire, I am excited to see what the new exclusive set will be.
Drat, I'm going in June! Although hopefully whatever replaces it will be just as desirable, fingers crossed :-)
I agree that sets like this should be limited during their standard run, but they really should be given a bigger retirement... I'd suggest a short unlimited run via Lego.com. Make the unlimited set pre-order only (no worries on extra sets), update the box art, and tag an additional 15% to the price.
Well, now I'm dying to know what the new set will be since I will be there in September! :D

I remember looking them up a year or two ago, but I couldn't find them when I looked today. In the past I have tried to put together older sets by slowing down speed builds and following along (if for example, I was struggling to differentiate bricks/colours in older instructions on line). if you are really keen to build the tree, you could try that.
Oh well, maybe Lego will remake it in a few years. Who knows?
Luckily I have a copy, and I think this is the _most_ desirable of the three (no pun intended) :)
I admit that since set 21318, this exclusive set is no longer of much interest to Billund. Kevin Feeser surpassed the master ;)
For next issues, I hope a Creator Expert Modular from LEGO House with 4 baseplates ??
And if someone wants to do it in LEGO Ideas, they could do it
Great marketing, to get previous visitors back to Billund..
Looks like I’m due another visit ??
