New Harry Potter Wizarding World sets unveiled
Posted by Huw,
Here's a press release about six new Harry Potter sets that'll be available in June in Europe and August in the USA:
Today, the LEGO Group and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have revealed a new range of enchanting playsets for fans of the Wizarding World. Packed to the brim with delight and mystery, these captivating playsets will help bring the Wizarding World to life in a way that only LEGO play can do.
Featuring well-known characters, creatures and locations familiar to every would-be Hogwarts student in waiting, the new LEGO sets help young builders create adventures of their own. The sets provide opportunities for endless fun as fans help Harry, Ron, Hermione and their faithful friends reenact beloved moments from the films.
These new LEGO sets will enable fans of the Wizarding World to explore Hogwarts in a new and exciting way. They can discover the entrance to The Room of Requirement, lure Professor Umbridge to the Forbidden Forest, gatecrash the Ravenclaw dormitory and explore the Hogwarts Astronomy Tower.
And the adventures extend beyond the Hogwarts theme...through their play, fans will be able to release Harry from the cupboard under the stairs at 4 Privet Drive, send Hedwig off to deliver an important message or explore the enchanted nooks and crannies of The Burrow.
Marcos Bessa, LEGO Harry Potter Design Lead commented: “Each year we get the chance to recreate some of the most action-packed and exciting settings from the films. We hope these new products inspire young builders around the world to believe anything is possible as they act out their own adventures in the Wizarding World.”

Finally a chance to get a new Bellatrix figure.
Amazing sets, probably the first wave of HP that get all of them!
I love them all! Where am I going to find the space for them??
That astronomy tower looks amazing in particular.
Sold!
PS Are these new 6x6 doorframes in the Astronomy tower?
Took me a moment to figure out what was going on with Hedwig's head.
Is that crank for a wing flapping gimmick?
All of these look absolutely amazing
Oh, cool, a new Burrow! I had that when I was a ki-
WOAH I LOVE THAT PRIVET DRIVE FOR SOME REASON!
the centaurs will be popular, might even pick that one up myself but would have loved a £20 set without either grawp or the obligatory tree (not in Hogwarts? best throw a tree in then!)
would love the bellatrix figure but the burrow is not exciting enough for £100 set.
anyone else get the feeling we are off down the same path as the star wars sets here? redesign a set from just a few years previous but throw in an exclusive figure or two to make it desirable for collectors?

Still haven't got it. I thought owls had both eyes looking in the same direction. This looks more like a cyclops.
From another angle I'm sure it will look good. All these sets look pretty neat imho!
Playsets that connect to build big buildings like Hogwarts is a great idea, I wish Lego would do this more often... we had a taster with the Lego batman movie small power plant sets (and sadly too few Lotr/hobbit sets). I wish they would do with other themes... eg a different detailed room of Xavier mansion with different x-men/marvel sets, or a Wayne manor/bat cave... even the new ninjago sets seem to connect up
4 Privet Drive and the Retirement Room are both definite buys for me, possibly the strongest wave of the rebooted Harry Potter sets that we have seen.
Still got the Advent Calendar and CMFs to be revealed and maybe even a rumoured D2C set.
That Privet Drive is mostly amazing but boy howdy am I replacing those unfitting 2x4s for the stairs as soon as possible, blimey are they completely out of place compared to everything else
Looks like only the Ford Anglia bonnet got a little more curvous.
Is it just me or does Grawp look like Fred Flinstone?
Nice. Picking up astronomy tower for sure and the Weasley’s house. Also need the Forbidden Forest just for those Centaurs!
These sets look amazing. So detailed!
The minifigures on the box art look so weird because they are rendered, but other than that these sets are fantastic!
That Hedwig looks odd, but excellent price to part ratio. Not sure how large it’ll be though. Also, how are Dumbledore and Snape not in the Astronomy Tower?
What about the D2C set? No info on that one yet? At least a release date? :(
Some of these look superb, especially Privet Drive and the Burrow!! A nice collection of new characters as well (FINALLY all the Dursleys!).
I need to check with my mother before gifting her that Hedwig build as she is part of Jehova Witnesses. Those houses look half done which is a shame really as with a few modifications they could serve as homes for my citizens giving that I am working on one myself.
Is that a gold bicycle tire in the astronomy tower?
TAKE MY MONEY NOW
More Patronuses, Slughorn, Umbridge, the Dursleys, Bellatrix, Tonks, the elder Weasleys, Ginny, Greyback, a dream minifigure cache
Ooh, I didn't expect this :o
Nice to see Ginny finally getting acknowledged by the new HP range... it only took three years! Not that she looks that different from the 2010 version, except for a new outfit, but... she's my favourite character, so it's the thought that counts!
Burrow looks like a major improvement over the 2010 version, and I love that there's a Tonks minifigure now; she's on my wanted list for sure, even if the rest of the set isn't! Definitely eyeing up the Room of Requirement, too - mostly for the new Luna (though, annoyingly, I just recently bought a second Cho torso to adapt my 2010 Luna into my Hogwarts Great Hall... could have waited for this version of her and not bothered!) and also THE OTTER PATRONUS. My girlfriend loves otters, I can't *not* get one of that part x3
The Centaurs look neat in the Forbidden Forest set, but otherwise I have no interest in that set - I have a dislike for the movie version of Grawp - and Privet Drive, while I can see the appeal, just kinda gets a shrug from me.
The Astronomy Tower looks really neat; though of the minifigures, only Lavender and Slughorn really interest me, as I have different versions of all the others already. Still, looks like it would go really nicely with my Great Hall, give it a bit more of a complete look ^^
And that Hedwig? I do not need her, but I LIKE A LOT. The way they've captured her feathery texture looks really nice, I'd definitely pick her up at a discount.
All in all, I'm a lot more excited for these than I was for last year's wave. Great job this time, Lego! :D
I know I'm going to buy the Room of Requirement just for the Patronus pieces.
I love the centaur pieces, but can someone tell Lego about the (often commented) subtext of the scene where the centaurs drag Umbridge away into the forest?
And the house on Privet Drive looks really great.
All of these are very nice looking sets! And the certainly don't skimp on including mini-figs with them - so many in each set. Seems like great designs and value in all of these. Hedwig definitely looks like that crank on model will make his wings flap.
They look great! Last year I decided to try and focus (mostly) on only one theme, Harry Potter, in an attempt to deal with the constant case of the the "Lego wants" and to still have enough in my Lego budget to be able to buy fun sets for the kids in my extended family. These HP sets will be fun to pick up over the course of the year, and because the HP waves are relatively small, I can still pick up a couple of sets outside the theme, too. Also, Hedwig looks a lot more interesting than I thought he would!
@Delatron - I sort of agree but these are so much nicer than the previous versions in my opinion. Apart from the Burrow and perhaps Hagrid’s hut they left me lukewarm, but the new versions have converted me. They look great as part of a display with Modular buildings with a bit of a tweak.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! Can't wait! And now, where's the huge Diagon Alley set?
GRAWPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are those the final box artworks? I don't remember them being computer renders before. Is that how they're going to look like from now on or is that only because of the pandemic? They look really weird and awkward. Especially the minifig faces. The real photos of the sets with real lighting look so much more attractive.
Definitely looks like some 6 stud wide door frames on the Astronomy tower, and there appears to be a 1 stud x 3 high panel? On the Weasley house those stained glass windows look amazing! And, I think I spot a 1 x 3 new mortar brick on the chimney
Super excited about finally getting Lego centaurs, I'll be after three or four of the modified horse bodies for customisation.
The buildable Hedwig looks a bit strange at first glance, I suspect it may be better when seen in the flesh. I'm very curious about the crank handle and how the flapping wings will look.
That Dursley house is cool. Who is going to buy lots of them just to make a neighbourhood?
Not a HP fan but Room of Requirement is looking very good value & the animals a big bonus
These are wonderful. Funds allowing, I'd like most of them...
Oh is that a new hair piece for Molly Weasley? Not quite as exciting as the patronuses or centaurs but it’s interesting that she gets the more personalised hair out of all the characters they could have done
Looking forward to adding those to my HP. Fingers crossed they do another Shrieking Shack as missed out on that last time.
I'll be getting the Forbidden Forest set, mostly for the centaurs.
Don't care for Grawp at all and will be looking to dispose of its parts and stickers without even assembling it.

LEGO has already done a system centaur, albeit a funny-looking blue one :~)
Not an HP fan but these sets are quite cool. Edwig is strange, but quite big for the price, the other sets, even the smallest ones, are interesting with a good mixture of fan service and decent building
Room of Requirement and Hogwarts Astronomy Tower can be combined with sets from older waves! amazing, good job Lego :)
I think the prices of these will be similar to the prices we saw in the last HP wave so my guesses on the prices are:
75966 Room Of Retirement will be £19.99 / $19.99
75967 Forbidden Forest will be £29.99 / $39.99
75968 4 Privet Drive will be £49.99 / $59.99
75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower will be £84.99 / $99.99
75979 Hedwig will be £34.99 / $39.99

Not coming till rumoured September so won't be revealed yet :)
Great googly moogly!
Also Hedwig could become the perfect basis for a Power Rangers Falconzord!
What got me into this theme was not the movies or the license, but the way the Hogwarts castle sets connect. This aspect is just wonderful. I really look forward to the Astronomy Tower. Will there be any significant part of the castle after this?
I know the castle changed from film to film. But I was just wondering what was left.
Everything looks little bit different than I imagined, but it looks nice.
Centaurs. That's all I need to know.
FWIW, I saw that Hedwig in the flesh at a trade show. It looks gorgeous in the flesh (brick?) — a lovely display piece.
When I first saw the centaur piece in a Trolls set I was hoping sooner or later they would be using it in another theme and color... the day has come! They look awesome:)
In the Astronomy Tower set are they eating poop cakes?!
Wow... once again Harry Potter does not fail to disappoint with incredible value.
Oh wow, what a great wave! These are fun!
Oh wow, wow wow wow. I better keep saving my money because when these get released, they will be required in my room. :P

No, it hasn't. The Trolls' one is a different mould ( https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=65267&name=Lower%20Body%20Centaur&category=%5BMinifigure,%20Body%20Part%5D T=S&C=42&O={%22color%22:42,%22iconly%22:0} ). The new HP one is even better. Woohoo!
More Luna for me, more Pink Lady & Dobby for my niece, I'm loving this announcement!

Yes, they look oddly basic!
Yay! More Luna and the pretty blue animals :)
nice sets but the renders are UGLY! I don’t mind the occasional photoshopping of the past but this is just plain bad
I am buying EVERY Set!!
(minus Hedwig and grawp)
Just spotted these on Instagram too...privet drive is awesome love the new dobby and hedwig with wing span lol!!
And the Astronomy tower is a piece of art and I'm interested in the forbidden forest too but I'm gonna fashion some more trees and extra folage,
Hopefully an updated Diagon alley and a hagrid motorcycle set will follow these...

I don't think it's new; I can't tell for certain, but it looks to me like the same piece that was used for Qi'ra (sw0916), albeit in a different colour?
Lots of good stuff here. I'm behind on getting the wave that's in stores now...
Do we know when the new 2020 Friends and City sets revealed the other day will be released? Is it May, June, or July?
All are day 1 purchased for me
What am I going to do with new Harry Potter, Monkey Kid, Ninjago, City, Marvel, Batman, Star Wars, Creator, Hidden Side and Mario??!?!!?!?!?!??!
Is Lego trying to bankrupt me?
I love these. That Astronomy tower might be the best Hogwarts module we've got yet! Nice and tall and looks great from the outside.
Lovely stickered details in these sets too.
The summer sets were really disappointing this year but these Harry Potter sets are awesome. Must buy almost all of them for me.
Seems odd to have a Barnes & Noble exclusive for Hedwig. Have they had any exclusives in the past?
I hate it when they make exclusives. Why do they do that? It's kind of pointless to me. LEGO has enough money as it is, they don't need more.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think if the stairs in Privet Drive were made from a dedicated stair piece rather than 2x4s, it would leave gaps exposing Harry’s cupboard.

I have the gbp prices and will post them shortly.
I like the small Patronus animals and the flappy-action Hedwig.
The colours of Privet Drive are dull though - tan the same as all the Hogwarts buildings. I much prefer the dark orange and dark grey roof of the original 4728 Escape from Privet Drive as it actually looked like a British brick-built house (although the structure itself was a bit poor).
Seems odd that the centaur looks like an exact copy of the brickforge centaurs from a few years ago.
I wonder how that transpired.
Where is the LEGO Hidden Side Castle of Mystery set?
Where are the LEGO Monkie Kid sets?
Could you UPDATE the LEGO info?
My poor, poor bank account!
I am not a Lego Harry Potter collector, but these sets look good and very similar to the old versions from years ago.
Must have with the exception of Hedwig.

You are absolutely right, thanks for the clarification. Mmm...not sure but looks like the Trolls one is smaller, if they release it in brown we could have a family with kid centaurs too :)
And it seems that the Weasley house make use of the new Frame 1x3x3 https://brickset.com/parts/design-51239
Now that LEGO is also using the layers of small plates technique for wall textures (Dursleys' house) I'm going to have to give it a shot for some of the buildings in my layout. I like that LEGO uses it sparingly (that 797 piece count is already exaggerated as it is). It always made me uncomfortable looking at AFOL-made walls that were COVERED in it.
imagine making sets that are actually good and somewhat fairly priced.
smh
they gotta learn how to make real licensed sets by looking at Lego Star Wars
The reintroduction of the HP line is probably one of the smartest decisions made by Lego in recent years. Each and every wave, they keep knocking these sets out of the park! Great builds and figures for fantastic prices.
I will admit that some of the reused head choices aren't the most fitting, such as Draco, Bellatrix, and the Weasley's, but nonetheless, solid wave.
This is honestly probably the best HP wave yet. So many new exclusive minifigs! And FINALY some Order of the Phoenix sets. I'll definitely get the Privet Drive and forbidden forest, finally a cheap Umbridge! I'll try to find a discount on the Burrow... Is it just me or does Harry look a little weird in Room of Requirements?

That's the Studio Tour Version of PD. Even the windows are not accurate. Anyway, i'll take this set.
I'm not even a Harry Potter fan and I'm impressed with the amount of variety, originality, build quality and the amount of new minifigures. I wish LEGO would breath the same amount of life into their Star Wars line.

First the burrow has some exlcuvise figs and it has been release in ten years
Wow!!!!
Wish there were more new unique minifigs, and all those white frames in the Astronomy Tower are an eyesore. But still a lot to look forward to in here, too.
Love them all. Not fair that U.S. has to wait until August for these though. Can't wait to see more detailed photos. I'll also need to resist buying them all as soon as they release them.
So thats why they put Sprout in the CMFS....
Ehhh.
WAY TO MANY HARRYS
I can't decide which one for $100. The burrow or Astronomy tower?

Bah. Never mind. Not a 3 stud wide mortar brick. Definitely 4, just looks odd from the angle. Got my hopes all up :(
Okay I am slowly adding hp to my collection which movies do each of these belong to?
I am trying to get one per movie
I got
the Shelob one... chamber of secrets
Expecto Factoring - Prisoner of Askillban
Rise of Vommitdear - Goblet of Fire
(trying to be funny) I haven’t watched any of the movies yet.
So that leaves order of Sorcerers Stone, Order of Phoenix & half blood prince, Deadly Hollows
The Umbridge one is from order of Phoenix, & Requirements is also in a few of them...
Both look good for $50 total...
Looks good enough for a non-hp fan to buy them - great work design team!
@Copycat said:
"I can't decide which one for $100. The burrow or Astronomy tower?"
I need both! Astronomy Tower is 1 but Burrow is a close 2. Just need to be patient and wait for deals or GWP's. Target is usually good for Gift card deals $10 on a $50 purchase but they will only give you one per purchase so not the greatest but better than nothing. I'll have to see if I can hold out for their holiday deals closer to Christmas for the big sets. Also I'm sure Costco will end up getting at least one of the sets since they got Hagrid's Hut last year. I'm guessing they'll probably get Privet Drive this year. Curious to see if maybe Barnes & Noble will get a GWP like the Minifig 4 pack they had a couple of years ago.
Not one bad set in the whole wave.
It’s gonna be an expensive summer.
Another pig! :-)
The sets look amazing. I can't wait. I wish they were released in the US at the same time as Europe.
Great sets, and easy to find for cheap as they're quite popular.
They all look cool for sure. Not my cup of tea.
I do NOT own ANY of all the Harry Potter sets ever made. My brother collects them though. But these new sets are all awesome and it's the first time they make me doubt and wanting them for my own. Amazing builds. I love the fact they're giving Harry and Ron their houses and it's wonderful to see that every year you can buy and collect a piece of Hogwarts. This will certainly be a must buy for my brother.
Wow, these all look great! Love that there are so many new characters and elements. Privet Drive might be my favorite at first glance... but all look amazing.
In a word fantastic! I don’t think anything can beat last year’s Expecto Patronum, but the Room of Requirement is close. I love Privet drive, but I might prefer an Order of the Phoenix one with some Dementors and Mrs Figg for more consistency. The Burrow is probably the best of the wave, love the figures and the build looks fun.
The only one I can criticise is Umbridge’s encounter. I just think Grawp is a little... off. Nonetheless Umbridge and the Centaurs are nice. I also don’t think I can fit the astronomy tower with my collection :(
@milflinn said:

Like you say, Umbridge is Order of the Phoenix, as is Room of Requirement. The Dursley's house seems to include elements from both Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets (but leans more heavily Chamber, since Dobby and the flying car are present); while the Astronomy Tower and Burrow sets are both based on Half-Blood Prince. Nothing from Deathly Hallows yet: though if the trend keeps up, those will likely show up next year.
Hope that helps ^^
Cool sets, probably will get a few. Tonks really should have had pink or purple hair though.
So they finally make the first Tonks minifig...and they give her _brown_ hair? I'm not saying it should be purple, but it should be some bright color that's unnatural for human hair. And also purple.
@holdre007:
Window frame 42205, introduced last year in two Friends sets.
@Wrecknbuild:
Like many predators, yes, they do. The feathery recesses around them, on the other hand, can either sit more or less on the same plane, or be at a very noticeable angle with each other. It really depends on the species, and actually managing to accomplish _both_ in a LEGO model this size would be challenging. Hedwig's got a bit of an angle there. 90 degrees is probably a bit extreme, though.
@Ayliffe:
Eh, I've already pre-replaced the car (pre-replaced the one from the Whomping Willow set, even, with one that seats four...or two plus an owl, a trunk, and a rat that's shaped like a rat).
@reki_lobsheek:
D2C rarely get announced alongside retail sets of the same theme. This announcement clears all of their retail partners to start adding this information to their websites, but there's not much point in doing so with a set that they can't even sell. And yes, after being teased with a false list of CMF HP1 minifigs, Dudley and Petunia finally get their first minifigs. Interestingly, Tom Riddle and Vernon Dursley were the last two HP characters whose only minifigs were yellow, and now both of them get updated for the new line.
@TeaWeevil:
Gold tire, but not from a bicycle. The big ring is the same 2815 Technic tire that was used for the goals in the Quidditch Match set from two years ago. The small gold ring looks like 35485 Chakram. The silver planet looks like it's sitting on a 1x1 plate w/ horizontal clip, which is what holds the chakram at that angle.
@cselenka:
They've been using CGI box art for nearly 20 years now. The earliest I'm aware of are the first Bionicle sets, where some of the parts are very clearly bent at different angles than in real life, all to get certain impossible poses. And sometimes they do a really good job of hiding the fact, while others...not so much.
@STL_Brick_Co:
I'm not sure which image you're seeing this panel in, but if it's bookcase next to the gold candle, that's a pair of 1x2x3 panels. You can just make out that the blue plate on top is 2x2. And the masonry bricks you're seeing are 1x4. They'll probably never make those in odd lengths due to how it would mess with the brick pattern.
@Brainslugged:
They had one of the 2019 Bricktober minifig packs (either HP or Marvel). With TRU out of the game, B&N might see a void they want to fill.
@yys4u
I was also thinking they looked like another Brickforgery, but there are actually a few differences. The right foreleg is raised (Brickforge's has the left raised), and the outside edges are all chamfered (Brickforge's has very crisp edges everywhere). It looks like there's a gap between the legs when viewed from either end, the tail is a different color (though blond tails with black man-hair?), and the studs on the back are hollow. One massive improvement is that the studs are located better. For some reason there's about a 1/16" gap between a torso placed on the front posts and any part attached to the back studs on the Brickforge centaur.
Nice job Lego Designers!
DOBBY!!!

I actually agree with this 100%. I'm a MASSIVE Star Wars fan, but I find it a bit frustrating that there's such a reliance on vehicles and rehashes in that line.
Star Wars has more than enough iconic scenes and locations that lend to fantastic, creative sets without having to release Luke's landspeeder for the 1000th time...
That said, this wave is absolutely incredible! Hoping to snag each and every one of these sets.
I love the sets, they are quite great. Can somebody explain me WHY the frames in the Astronomy Tower are WHITE? And why put those frames at all? Especially the five ones on the first and second floors. The Astronomy section ones do are a little justified.

I like the Hedwig but it isn't a must have. B&N rarely discounts so I'll be looking for a GWP to get with this one.
My one complaint is that the Burrow looks too--tidy. And too solidly built. OTOH I can always find the instructions from the previous set and do a little retro-engineering. Honestly, I don't see how I can pass up any of these! I exited my Dark Ages just after the earlier HP sets went out of production, so these are very, very exciting!

She's in the CMF series 2
I don’t really follow Harry Potter but I’m certain that the blue car gets rereleased as often as Star Wars gets X-Wings.
Love them all. So many great minifigs too. And all at quite reasonable prices. With HP it appears LEGO is still able to do it.
I wish they'd do some sets at "modular building" level.
Would it have been too morbid to add Dumbledore and Snape minifigures to the Astronomy Tower?
These are AMAZING! I only have the microscale Hogwarts but this wave may tempt me to start collecting the normal scale Hogwarts sections... love Privet Drive too... and that Burrow!! Very exciting, thanks LEGO!!
@sklamb:
I didn’t notice it right away, but there’s actually a hinged layer that leaves the upper part tilted at a slight angle.
@Brikkyy13:
There aren’t a ton of vehicles available to produce, so they do dip into those quite a bit. Hogwarts Express holds the record with five minifig versions, one polybag, and a Dimensions appearance. Knight Bus has three minifig versions and a polybag. The flying Ford Anglia has so far appeared in the first Privet Drive set, one of the Hogwarts trains, and the Whomping Willow in minifig scale, and a Dimensions model. This will make the fourth minifig-scale version and fifth overall, putting it back in second place ahead of the Knight Bus. No polybag version. Yet.
In total, all of the sets (minus Hedwig) will cost 449.95$ (Canadian) (without tax)

"So they finally make the first Tonks minifig...and they give her _brown_ hair? I'm not saying it should be purple, but it should be some bright color that's unnatural for human hair. And also purple."
To be fair, the minifigure (and that set in general) is based on Half-Blood Prince, where her unrequited feelings for Remus affected her control of her metamorphic abilities; she spent most of the book with brown hair as a result. In any other context, I totally agree that purple hair would have been much more fitting, and recognisable; but it would have been out of place with the rest of the scene in this case.
If we get a Grimmauld Place set at any point, though... then it would definitely be a missed opportunity if they didn't put in a pink-haired version of her in that ^^
Wow, these all look fantastic and really packed with play features. And a great emphasis on buildings! I can see my son fiddling with these endlessly.

If it's based on the book, where in the book did they burn down the Burrow? ;)
@PurpleDave--So there is! And I just thought someone had been a bit sloppy building it....
However, I'd still prefer to add back some of the off-kilter boards from the first version!
@BionicleJedi:
I've never actually read the books, so I guess I missed a lot of what was going on with Tonks. And for some reason I was thinking the Burrow attack took place after they'd gotten married.
@sklamb:
So build your own. You've got access to the instructions for the first version, and in a few months you'll be able to peek under the hood of this version. Borrow whatever you like from both versions, and change what you don't. One of the other guys in my LUG made a minifig-scale version of the microscale Hogwarts, and he adds in a few other related buildings like the Burrow. His has one of the blue 1x4 "LL" bricks embedded in one of the walls, but I can't remember which number it is.
They're looking good! I didn't know that 1x3x3 tan window frame in the Weasley house already existed.
Also these sets look like perfect opportunities to introduce NEW pointed arches. Can anyone tell me why 1x4x4 or 1x5x6 half pointed arch pieces seem to be so elusive? They would be so useful when building castles, churches, universities and other historic buildings.

Point taken; although I just used the book because it was the clearer example. In the movies, although her arc is barely seen at all, she does follow some of the cues from the book regarding her appearance; it's hard to tell onscreen due to the odd lighting of that scene, but the behind-the-scenes material (in books like 'The Character Vault' and 'Page to Screen') confirm that her hair was brown in the HBP movie, just like in the book.
Although apparently, even in that costume she still had a few purple streaks in her otherwise-brown hair. I'll be impressed if they've captured that little detail on the minifigure xD
I want to see a Marge Big fig for Private Drive
Grawp is lookin great

All these Harry Potter sets mark a major improvement in LEGO’s designing and building techniques! I really like how —despite the limited space— they put in so much detail in almost every corner.
I noticed one thing though: you have to display some of the sets in an “angular” fashion to get their best look. Otherwise, they’d look rather awkward. Take the Burrow and Astronomy Tower as examples. ;)
@Snazzy_Bricks:
Huh. So, that's not actually an image, but the 3D viewer. Whoever prepped that must have thought they were supposed to use everything, because Dudley has Harry's spare wand, Petunia has Ron's, and the two sprues are still sitting around by the street sign and suitcase on the far right. None of the 2D images have any glaring mistakes like that so far as I can tell.
Also, those (new?) white door frames in the Astronomy Tower look out of place. They should’ve kept them tan or brick / sand yellow. Even brown would’ve worked better. That’s the only colour that seems off.
While it's nice that they re-introduced Harry Potter, I must admit I haven't bought any of the recent sets. As Bricks_and_boxes mentions, many of the buildings are very incomplete and only looks good from the exact angle used in the box art. Both the 75954 Great Hall, the 75948 Clock Tower and the 75969 Astronomy Tower looks like tempting castle builds at first, but in all cases I'd have to buy two of each to make them complete buildings, which is just too expensive.
BTW, is this the first time they've used actual lego models as background in the box art (Privet Drive and the Astronomy Tower)? Also, Lestrange with the trail of smoke really reminds me of a piece of stray fireworks, like she goes sss-FFffft-WEEEEeeeeEEEeeEEeeeee...*poff*.
@axeleng:
All of the Hogwarts Castle component sets have some vague representation of the rest of Hogwarts behind them, but it's hard to say if any of them are brickbuilt. The Knight Bus is another one that may have a brickbuilt background, but it's motion-blurred, so again it's hard to say. I know that some baseplates show images of other baseplates in the corner, but that's more by way of advertising other options besides the one you have in your hand. There may also be supplemental sets that show some form of model to demonstrate how they can be incorporated into something else.
But the problem is, you have to be very careful about what you show on the box. They're already restricted in how small they can make the boxes because parents expect the image on the front to be a 1:1 representation of the set contained within. Reduce the box size too much, and you have to shrink the image of the model to the point that they gauge that against the price and put it back on the shelf. Besides that, if it's in the box, they expect you to show it on the outside, and if you show it on the outside, they expect it to be in the box. So, if you supplement the set image with other models that are too well defined, there's a very real risk that you'll get irate calls from customers who want to know where the "rest of the set" is. If you use traditional hobby model backgrounds, or vague CGI shapes, you eliminate that risk.
Nice sets!
More Patronuses are always fun, hopefully we'll see realistically printed versions of those molds in the future for actual animals.
Also, LEGO CENTAURS! I love getting new mythological creatures in themes, and with a little bit of mocing you could create some nice Castle displays using that part!
