Wow, the stage coach is beautifully designed!
AWESOME!!
Wow, those look cool! Did he have any of the Iron Man 3/Man of Steel pics?
Anything else?
Ok I do not know what 'the lone ranger' is but I might get a couple the sets look amazing is the pistol new
Really liking the look of these sets now.
That looks fantastic! The stagecoach is even better than I'd hoped for, and I love the train. All the sets look very traditional western too, which is nice. Kinda shocked that the cavalry set with 4 minifigures and a horse will only cost €14.99 too. Then again there's not a whole lot more than that, but still.
Very impressed!
Those sets look terrific. I'm really looking forward to them, regardless of how good the movie is. And so far, nothing looks like it would compete or conflict with the Modular Western Town.
I love the Western theme to them!
US predictions for prices: Since Licensed sets are usually more than US in their own currency, here are my prices:
79106: $12.99
79107: $24.99
79108: $39.99
79109: $49.99
79110: $69.99
79111: $89.99
These look great! I definitely want most if not all of them.
Is that a non-flesh colored female fig?? Sets look interesting too.
Wow those sets have a TON of minifigures
For all who don't know about the Lone Ranger:
The Lone Ranger is a fictional character, a masked ex-Texas Ranger who, with his Native American companion Tonto, fights injustice in the American Old West. The character has become an enduring icon of American culture.
He first appeared in 1933 in a radio show conceived either by WXYZ radio station owner George W. Trendle or by Fran Striker, the show's writer. The show proved to be a huge hit, and spawned an equally popular television show that ran from 1949 to 1957, as well as comic books and movies. The title character was played on radio by George Seaton, Earle Graser, and most memorably Brace Beemer. To television viewers, Clayton Moore was the Lone Ranger. Tonto was played by, among others, John Todd, Roland Parker, and in the television series, Jay Silverheels.
Departing on his white stallion, Silver, the Lone Ranger would shout, "Hi-yo, Silver! Away!" As they galloped off, someone would ask, "Who was that masked man anyway?" Tonto usually referred to the Lone Ranger as "Ke-mo sah-bee", meaning "trusty scout" or "trusted friend.

Of course, it won't be out for Christmas...
That bank is cool. I'm liking the use of the Asian straw hat on the train, too. I can't help but think that this theme would have been the perfect excuse for dark tan cheese slopes, though :P
At least Tonto has a 1x1 plate to carry around as shown on the picture of the train. We couldn't have a Johnny Depp based minifigure without him carrying one of those.
Can anybody tell if the train is PF compatible? I doubt it will come with PF, but it would be nice to be able to easily add them.
79110 reminds me of 6761 Bandit's Secret Hide-out.
Wow wow wow wow! Nice to see Western sets coming back, especially ones so nice!
amazing ! ima gonna buy em all except the train set :) thanks so much for the pics, made my day.
That Western Train is BEAUTIFUL. Darn it, now I will be broke next year.
Nice designs. A lot of Lone Riders and Tontos, but that was to be expected.
Black and white horses!
79106 is a very nice army builder even with the Lone Rider included. Wish we'll someday see a similar set also in the LotR/Hobbit theme.
Silver Mine looks like a great landscaping parts pack.
I have no real interest in any of the sets, but they do look relatively well-designed. The silver mine, in particular, looks like it has some great play features. I'd be more interested in these as parts packs (silver mine and city duel, specifically) if they get significantly discounted in the future.
It's nice that the cavalry set is cheap and includes a white horse. As a castle fan, I may pick one up just for that. I do find the set name a bit odd, though, since none of the soldiers are mounted.
Is that a straight narrow gauge train track in 79110?
Looks pretty good. :D Correction: looks great.
Color me impressed. My wallet is crying. I will get the stage coach at the least.
Is it just me, or does the revolver piece look slightly different?
Straight narrow gauge track in multiple sets, YES!
I'm sure it's not PF compatible out of the box, but the train looks beautiful.
Fascinating, all those set numbers are ZIP codes in Amarillo.
...as in Texas
...as in Texas Rangers
...as in what the Lone Ranger is an ex-of
Coincidence?
Luckily I own all Western sets which were released 15 years ago-). The new sets are well designed, however quite expensive. The mine and the train are a must-have. Colby City is a bit disapointing due to the fact that the old Western sets from the late 90s included a bank as well as a sheriff office. I am still waiting for a saloon and a hotel in Western style.
@Dragon_Master_48 I don't know it looks kinda new to me who knows???
The cow skull is only in a colossal set? That's really really cruel.
@Dragon_Master_48
Yes, it is new.
Brilliant, sheer brilliance with these sets. As a fan of LEGO Western I'm so thrilled to see these, even if the movie isn't as impressive as it could be at least it is bound to be leaps above that atrocious Green Hornet remake from a few years back. And these sets, the Mini-Figs, the set pieces, these look even better than some of the stuff we got for PoP that's for sure.
And it's great to see the new Horse in White, hopefully we'll see a Black version before the year ends. I'm actually kind of surprised Disney doesn't allow LEGO to dig a bit into their back catalogue for some interesting set ideas, I'd love to see a Zorro and Davey Crocket set from LEGO before too long. Make it part of an all-encompassing Theme like, Disneyland or Disney World Theme Parks and you'd have the perfect catch-all Theme for some beloved Disney classics.
Anyway, these sets look great and I'm definitely looking forward to that 14.99$ priced one, too bad if you troop build it you'll wind up with multiples of the Lone Ranger.
I don't think that is straight narrow gauge track. It looks like regular sized straight track with 4638990 on the studs just inside the normal sized rails to make the rails narrow. You can see two distinct rails on either side of the mine cart.
I'll take the Train Chase please...
From only these 3 pics, I would say that Lego did a fantastic job on these sets...
The sets look beautiful! Too bad it's a license theme, now they will cost 25% more than they should, but they are amazing. Love the train with the huge gun on it, the town buildings with the different color brick bricks, the mine set. All very nice. The best license theme ever.
Hey HUW,
Did these sets disappear from the database at some point recently?
Can you at least re-add the blank pages with the set numbers, even if you can't attach the pics to them just yet?
I will definitely add the Comanches and the Cavalry to my Wanted List ASAP!
Thanks, Great Work! =D
I had a 600 dollar budget. I'm either gonna cut some ninjago or chima or get another 250 dollars? Maybe il do both
wow, these look great.
I'm sure the Gatling gun on the train has the awesome feature of rotating when you turn the crank. I was a fan of steam engines long before I was a space guy, so like the Toy Story Train, these models are reaching way back into Nostalgialand to satisfy the types of sets I wish existed when I was a kid. Of course, I'll have to modify the train so it has all the proper mechanical linkages, or maybe I'll just use it to make some kind of cool steampunk MOC.
WOW!!!!! :D I didn't even realize !NEW! Pistols *gasp*
WESTERN RETURNS! Those are some great looking sets! There's going to be a lot of penny-saving this year to pick these up!
Well done, TLC! These are great!
thanks bro
Incredible!! Western comes back with a vengeance (and a license)! These are must haves for me.
Sigh...I thought Lego might have learnt from LOTOR that you don't need to include the main character(s) from a Licensed theme in every set in order to sell the sets (although I understand from a kid's perspective they might be disappointed to miss out on the main character if they only get one set).
Saying that, most of these sets look really great and will be essential purchases for all those Western MOCCers out there.
Huh. I am generally not a western fan. I am definitely not a fan of sets with guns.
Having said that, these are very lovely. The mine is the one that I could see several of my kids drooling over, since it looks to have so much play value. These really are well done.
I wasn't, but now I must...
Whoah! Those sets, frankly, are epic. This better turn out like PoP so I can buy all the sets and maby doubles.
And it looks like alot of good torsos, hopefully there'll be an absence of flesh on the torsos.
Regarding minifigure distribution this line looks like PoTC: If you buy all sets you will have a bunch of lone rangers. But I guess it comes from the storyline; in contract to for example LOTR, where there are many main characters, and you can play with a set even if it lacks some characters from that particular scene, here the lone ranger is present "everywhere" so you cannot skip him out. Make it even "worse" it looks like he wears the same costume all the time. At least jack Sparrow had several outfit with/without jacket/hat.
I can genuinly say this is possibly one of the best looking licenced sets Ive ever seen. Ever. Farout Im so there
I had absolutely no interest in this line... until I saw these pictures. I hate how LEGO can do that. I don't know what it is, but those cavalry sets are bringing back some lost childhood memory, I think I must have had Playmobil Cavalry sets back in the 80's... now I want to build a Cavalry troop. Next year is going to be rough with some great City, Hobbit, and now Lone Ranger sets... This is going to add up all too quickly.
Wow! I also had no interest and was just hoping for a steam train. The train looks like it might be power functioned too. Everything looks amazing.
Well, there goes the Western Modular Cuusoo idea....
I was trying to focus for next year on a few sets only...and now, I fell in love with those sets...must have! .....
Superb historical sets! Bravo! =D
The new Union soldiers look great... And you can also create great looking Confederate soldiers by combining Irina Spalko's torso from the Indiana Jones sets, with the dark grey kepi hats from the Star Wars sets. TLG would certainly never do Civil War sets for political and cultural reasons, but it would be cool to see some nice accurate historical MOCs.
As for me, I will have the Comanches and Americans trading peacefully... This is LegoLand after all, (not Sparta)! =)
This makes me so happy. My birthday is on the 30th of April. I think I know what I will get....Jahoo. Live is great, loving Lego.
@Demarco Murray:Why you're so sure? Maybe we'll get an Modulair Western Set at the end of 2013, as the did with the Harry Potter set "Diagon Alley. I'm sure it would make a great addition to the Lone Ranger theme. Let's wait...
When it comes to Cuusoo, Lego indeed seems to be a step or two ahead of us AFOLs. Space Marines vs. Galaxy Squad, Modular Western Town vs. Lone Ranger... But it remains to be seen how they approach these. I don't think disapproval of Cuusoo projects is the only possible outcome. Who knows, they might even rebrand Modular Western Town as a D2C Lone Ranger set. That, of course, would need consent from both the project owner and Disney licencing etc., and as such it is _far_ from probable.
I broke down and cried tears of joy on seeing that train.
I wonder why America and Canada release the new sets before every other country? I think they should be released at the same time, 1st Dec - that way people can buy them for Xmas presents.
I like the design of these sets. I will definitely give it a shot. Are these rangers and cavalry hats also a new moulds? And what is this strange luggage in the hands of the bank robber?
At first I thought that I would just skip this theme, But... Those sets look great they are beautifully designed and I will find myself cutting out of my SW and Galaxy squad budget to get a couple
Ok I just can't describe how awesome the sets are. Also the new pistol is very popular like the sets average about 2.83 pistols per set
I am so incredibly torn. I like the new theme, dont get me wrong. But A. it is licensed and I am always weary of such lines ( except for Hobbit :) ) and B. I think it is a newer and updated version of a dear old original, classic and always great LEGO theme from the mid 90's Western. It makes me quite nostalgic and want to get back into building the Western sets I have and setting up a whole scene like I did as a kid. Saddly, with the mixture of flesh colored minifigures and some really updated parts I do not know what to do? Maybe I need to see these sets in person, IE a lego store to really see what they are about. As of now I am on the fence with this one, maybe I'll get a set or two to peruse the market.
Is that a new mold for a steer skull in the silver mine set? I also like the shiny silver bars that I'll be able to add to my treasure hoard.
Wonderful! It's just like the old Indians sets!
Much better than I previously envisioned. Quite excited by many of these sets, including the train!
I'm not really a fan of Western themed sets but I have to say there are some excellent sets here! I'll like to see higher res pictures soon, but I think I have got to get that train, The Mine and the £10 set.
Gosh, the cavalry set is gonna sell like hell to Afols! Stage coach is a little too big for my taste and the other sets a little simple. But not bad.
I'm getting all of these. They look great!
love the sets.
Completely surprised, I was expecting another lame licensed range but these designs look really impressive, TLG could have really upped their game here.
If you want to see more 2013 sets, I've upload some photos at Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=518814
