To be fair, apparently the design of the humble street sweeper was so iconic that Lego didn't change it for quite some time, so there was about 3 of these released over the years that were essentially the same set, with minor changes.

I liked this one the best, it was one of my first ever Lego sets, I remember I bought it when I was living in America for a few months when I was a kid.

By in Turkey,

I got two lots, from two different people and interestingly each had the different sweeper, just not this one. I love these little guys, making my Lego Town look clean and beautiful.

I wonder if the opening sunroof was factory fitted or an after market mod the guys installed themselves.

I'd be smiling in that car as well. :)

This is still the best edition followed by the one that came with the latest Service Station - the rest is garbage!

By in United Kingdom,

I feel like I had one of these, but was in my dark ages by '91. Is there a fourth, earlier, sweeper? I also don't remember the special piece surrounding the revolving brush.

It's a great second use of both a control tower window and a car wash brush, two parts with little utility, otherwise.

Played with this soooo much when I was younger. Now my 6 and 8 year old kids don't build a street sweeper but use that blue brush thing in EVERY thing they build. So glad we've got that part.

By in Poland,

Got it form my grandparents, it was a great addition to my lego city back when I was a kid. And after all these years I still have it 100% complete!

I spent my entire childhood dreaming and constantly talking about this sweeper. No LEGO town is complete without it. Eventually I got myself 6649 but now you made me dream about this cute, classic set again.

By in United States,

I remember seeing this set available in the little mini-catalog pamphlets that used to come in sets, but it wasn't available in any stores where I lived we didn't have a lot of money to buy sets outside of birthdays and holidays. I finally saved up enough to order it from the catalog, but my family got short orders to move to Korea and it wouldn't arrive in time!

One of these days I'll get it!
