40% off Technic Lamborghini
Posted by Huw,
42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is currently just £209 at Amazon.co.uk which is £150 off the RRP, and £40 cheaper than it's ever been.
Or, if you prefer, it's the same price at eBay.co.uk, sold by Velocity.
Grab it while you can...

Was £200 not that long ago at Amazon and Costco. Although sold out quickly on both sites.
Everytime one of these vanity sets gets released, I implore people to wait until the inevitable-at-least-thirty-percent-off discount at Amazon, but there are always those who have to have it before all their chums and pay full-price straight away.
It's like people enjoy throwing money away.
Well, more fool them.
Man, that's way sooner than I expected it to hit my price threshold. Shame I can't schedule it for a weekend or evening delivery, I guess it's going to work.
The Sian was £199 or 200 as well the other day on Amazon so definately not cheapest ever, but no way I can justify full price on these sets when they are discounted this agressively within 6 months of launch. Lego in the UK for me is becoming a purchase only when it hits a 1/3 off.
Makes you wonder if they should just reduce the RRP in the first place.
Anyone here knows how can Amazon make these prices? I mean, at what price do they buy from LEGO?

Staff get 50% off. So I assume, shops buy them at around half price of RRP.I may be of course, massively wrong
No reason to discount if the sets are selling well. So the U.S. isn't seeing discounts on these Technic supercars and Creator sports cars, aside from 15% off the Porsche RSR race car when it retired.
That colour issue has been a bit of a nightmare.
In fairness to Lego they have been pretty good about it in my case.
I only thought to contact them after I read about others having the same issue.
Initially I was sent a Star Wars Darth Vader pod as an apology. But then I thought, ‘Nah that can’t be right, paid a lot of money and you can clearly see the differences’.
So I called back. Ive had 4 lots of the 3 parts that were obviously mismatching in colour and I think I’m now sorted. Just got to fit the parts.
Lego even offered a refund or a fresh set. The latter just seemed a waste.
So if you do have a set with a few bits that are a bit off in colour, do call Lego

Half of RRP is a fairly typical amount that retailers pay for products - possibly less when they are big enough / buying larger bulk.

Retailers need to have a decent margin, especially when you are looking at all the sets that get sold via physical stores, where the retailers have greater costs.
And I can understand the need / desire to keep pricing consistent over the range - hence the pricing even on Lego exclusive sets. Still, Lego's own online store must be a nice little earner for them at those prices. It's a pity they aren't a little bit more aggressive in pricing / loyalty rewards on the online store.
Now £250 :(
