First pictures of Marvel's 'The Eternals' sets!

Posted by ,

Barring additional delays, The Eternals is planned for release during November. LEGO has evidently prepared their products for an earlier release, hence four sets are displayed in a catalogue which has been distributed in Canada. The photos published here originate from Brickset's Facebook group.

Their release date has not been confirmed, although it will presumably be during the Spring.

You can view these intriguing sets after the break...

76156 Rise of the Domo

  • 1040 pieces
  • CAD $119.99

76145 Eternals' Aerial Assault

  • 133 pieces
  • CAD $13.99

76154 Deviant Ambush!

  • 197 pieces
  • CAD $29.99

76155 In Arishem's Shadow

  • 493 pieces
  • CAD $79.99

Thanks again to Larry L for the images.

These sets certainly differ from the traditional Marvel Super Heroes fare and interest me. What do you think of them? Let us know in the comments.

no dane whitman figure? slightly disappointed, but thats a cool celestial build

By in United Kingdom,

Okay, any Marvel fans out there wanna explain who these people are, simply please? :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love the look of the Rise of the Domo spaceship
(Looks like a slice of pizza!)

By in Hungary,

Swing and a miss for me.

"If you collect LEGO minifigures, this awesome set is the only one to feature Ajak and Kingo!"
Lego doesn't even hide the fact that figures sell most superhero sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

...and oops, they’ve got a typo in the catalogue:
“...Rise of the Dome gives gives kids...”

Gravatar
By in United States,

Okay, wow! Was not expecting THIS! Great job on upping your set composition, LEGO!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They all look good.. might grab two of them!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love how every description ends with "Plus... if you collect The Eternals LEGO® Minifigures, this awesome playset is the only one that features _____!" (or words to that effect)

The Eternals are genetic relatives of humanity, created by The Celestials one million years ago. They possess extremely long lifespans and various superhuman abilities, inevitably!

Of course, that may be altered for the movie but The Celestials evidently remain involved.

No figure for Kit Harrington’s Black Knight. Or whoever Harry Styles is rumoured to be (I won’t post a spoiler). Another set to be revealed after the film comes out?

A simple explanation is a big ask, but I’ll try. Early residents of earth. They all have powers, so in the Marvel U, they were the gods of different civilizations. The Deviants are basically their evil counterparts and were thought of as demons and devils. Again this is super simplistic. Haha

By in United States,

Spaceship is very unique and the Celestial looks awesome

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thanks, tried wikiing, but gave up trying to make sense of it :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Single slice pizza box, THE SPACESHIP!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Some nice new pieces in interesting colours

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

These are super weird, but I will be honest that big spaceship looks really cool

Gravatar
By in United States,

There is a typo in the “Rise of Domo” set page. There are two “gives” instead of one.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Gotta get me the Celestial.

By in United States,

I didn't expect these to be spring releases, but it's a welcome surprise! These sets are the best Marvel products in forever. I was getting very tired of Spider-Man and his useless vehicles so I'm thrilled to see something so unique! I can't wait for this movie - I think it's going to be a fantastic new corner of the MCU if these sets are anything to go on. I really appreciate every minifigure having leg printing, too, since that's a common issue with Marvel figures.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Aww, it's nice that a theme other than Star Wars gets a nice, big, grey triangle!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have absolutely no clue what in the world these are. But they look AMAZING!!!

Gravatar
By in Finland,

The celestial is super cool and the spaceship is just so different, it's like a block of concrete

Gravatar
By in United States,

There is...no way to pull off a Celestial in minifig scale. We'll just have to pretend, like with Star Destroyer.

Heck, a Star Destroyer would be the size of a Celestial's foot.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lego’s been really smart here making sure that you have to get all the sets to get all the minifigures... so I think I’m gonna have to get all the sets ??

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not looking forward to this movie in the slightest. Figs look pretty cool though

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those circle patterns on the ship’s discs had better be prints or when I go to apply you will hear my desperate screams fueled by the rage of a thousand burning stars in your house...no matter where you live.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

As a Star Wars fan, getting excited over a big grey triangle should be easy

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Never heard of the source material.
But if it brings us some cool useful new or recoloured pieces, why not?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I actually quite like some of those. And a Lego Celestial? I'm onboard.

I wonder if the Eternals will give us a hint of the next big arc of the Marvel movies. Honestly, if they're not moving towards Galactus showing up, then what's the point?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Odd thought: it really says something that everyone knows Stan Lee material on sight, but nobody knows Jack Kirby.

I'm not sure what that says, but something. (Possibly that as amazing as Kirby was, he couldn't carry much without Stan.)

Don't forget that's in CAD, still expensive but a little less of a punch in the gut in USD

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm now looking forward to The fantastic four, shang chi and Venom 2 sets!! Lol.. and hopefully we'll get Falcon & the winter soldier sets too!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know squat about The Eternals (that'll change when I inevitably see the movie) but I already want 76155 In Arishem's Shadow for the Celestial alone (preferably if the set gets on discount lol).

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

These could go well in my SW diaromas.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is anyone else going to use those printed dishes on the Domo for Doctor Who MOCs?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Price per part ranges from okay to terrible, but minifigures look good (they all at least have leg printing, which is better than most 2020 marvel figures), and the builds look interesting too. Definitely going to wait for a discount for some of these though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The printed dish and tile circles on top kind of remind me of the astronomical clock in the town square of Prague.

Gravatar
By in United States,

$120 for that triangle thing...SMH.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really digging the curved plates used for the legs on the Deviant Ambush set. I'm the element will get plenty of color variants and show up in more reasonably priced sets as well!

Yeah these are CAD prices sooo $60USD perhaps?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Interesting sets but don't know that I want to start with these. That Space Ship pizza box thing looks interesting but $$.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That spaceship is something else. I don’t collect Marvel and don’t want to start another addiction, but now I got one more thing to look forward to watching on Disney+!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I the only one who was thrown off by the wording in 76155? Specifically, "...2 daggers, 1 sword, 2 mini shooters and a blade!" My first thought was something along the lines of "Lego includes switchblades in sets to increase play value" lol

A slice of pizza with extra cheese. Why extra cheese? Because it’s Galactus intolerant! Get it? :~P

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have no idea what this is, so my first thought was "IT'S A GIANT PIZZA!"

Gravatar
By in United States,

AWESOME!!!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I kind of like the space ship but I'm overall not too enthusiastic about what Disney plans for Marvel phase 4. Looking forward to the next Spidey movie, but nothing besides that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well, there goes my wallet.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Not interesting. Not even a bit.
While I like the superheroes line, this seems crap.

Or just Bricklink them :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love the look of these, just what I was hoping for with Eternals, would have been better to have more exclusive figs rather than doubling up 50% if you get all 4.
Still overwhelming positive though in my opinion.

Gravatar

The marketing lingo used to be "cool", now everything is "awesome"!

I think it has more to do with self-promotion. Stan Lee was a master at it. Similar to how almost everyone knows of Don King but lots of people couldn't name another boxing promotor.

Gravatar

Oh, it's beautiful.

I've looked at this for five hours now.

Kind of hoping they will release a small set later on with him. Would love the classic look with Aragorn

Gravatar
By in Canada,

As someone else said, Stan was the face of Marvel comics and that's where he excelled and why the general public know him over Kirby or any other of the many great comic book artists/writers out there.

Gravatar
By in France,

Oh my god Jon Snow and Robb Stark are finally having their minifigures!!! They might look a bit different than in GOT, but who cares right???

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those are the dullest minifigs this side of a City set. The Eternals in the comics have helmets, gauntlets, some of them weapons, capes...and here they all look like they're wearing color-coded jumpsuits. No bling, no cool helmets, nada.

I wonder if there will be this connection in movie or this fact will be mentioned

No F4 in the MCU.,"

FF movie is in the works. With the acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the rights to the FF are back with Marvel/Disney so hopefully we’ll have FF LEGO sets in the near future.

I want a Hulk & Thing poker night set with the new Howling Commandos playing them.
