New images of 2013 Lone Ranger Sets
Posted by PsyKater,
Eurobricks member GRogall has found new HR images of the 2013 Lone Ranger Sets. They can all be found in his Brickshelf-folder (not yet public) or in our database.
You can see more details in the pics, especially the minifigures and decorations. What do you think of these sets?

Makes me wish we'd got that Modular Western thing through CUUSOO.
I think these look great, a lot of care seems to have gone into the design of both sets and Minifigures and I look forward to picking them up later this year.
I love everything, except one thing... WHY IS THE TEPEE PLASTIC, IS IT THAT HARD TO MAKE IT CLOTH!? :P Besides that, nothing to complain about. :P
79106 Cavalry Builder Set minifigures could be actually used as Star Wars Bespin Guards. Would have to change the legs though.
@maniac - That's funny, I thought the exact same thing when I first saw the picture. I'll have to compare the torso to my old Bespin guard and see if the dark blue here better matches the guards in ESB.
I am actually quite impressed with how well designed these sets are. The Silver Mine set looks to be an excellent parts pack if you are doing some desert/hillside/mountain landscaping.
Stagecoach could be the suprise big seller for AFOLs and KFOLs due the value with 5 figs and 3 horses for a tiny $30.
In the silver mine, notice how 4 rails, rather than just 2!
Most sets look excellent. Particularly the Mine, stage coach, Train chase and cavalry builder.
@The_Creator I would guess it's plastic so that if you spill grape juice on it, it still looks like a teepee. Cloth tears and wears more easily. But I totally agree, cloth would look a lot better.
I cannot get past how brilliant that train is. Like, that is just a gorgeous, amazing train set. The design, the detail, the wheels, my gosh. I'm in love.
How could anyone NOT love these sets?
Anyone have any idea how many rails are in the silver mine? Anyone?
Best theme of 2013.
@Hylirica, on the toy fair pictures it looked and reacted to light like plastic, so my guess. Yes, good point, but the old Tepees from the old western sets seem to have faired fine minus the frails(easy fix with a scissors). I actually have a few that still look new. And I'd personally find it easier to straighten out a cloth tepee rather than a plastic one.
I just can't jump on board with these sets or the theme. I wasa fan of the Modular Western, but call me a killjoy, theses are just ho-hum to me. Maybe I will think otherwise when I see the movie, but it isn't there just yet. What am I missing?
Stickers. Boo.
hmm, i mean i like the fact they are minifig/horse heavy, and the cannons take me back to my childhood with the old Pirates sets, but i cant say im really impressed with the buildings
Some of these sets remind me of the Playmobil western theme from the early 80's - the Calvary set specifically.
problem i have with these sets, just like the indiana jones sets is the overkill on lone ranger and tonto, i mean do we have to have both in every set (and exactly the same) i suppose thats the biggest issue with licensed lines we get away with it to a certain extent with star wars because of the depth of mythology, but when u get a line like this you know it wont run past its first sets, because everyone is sick of them. Indiana jones couldve run but didnt, pirates of caribbean couldve had another few sets, prince of persia...well thats a route im not going down (although u can nevere have enough camels lol)
I am looking forward to them all. Nice to have a theme were the older fans of Lego can say " I remember that when I was a kid" The last few themes have been aimed at the very young Chima what is that about ?
I agree with nameloc about thelone ranger and tonto. Tonto doesnt look too bad but imo the lone ranger looks kind of stupid. If i only get one of these it would be the train
@ The_Creator, Hylirica, etc,
1) Ah, but remember that in real life, a tepee is made of animal hides, not cloth...
2) And in Lego World, animals and their hides are made of plastic...
3) So therefore, a Lego tepee logically ***should*** be made of plastic, right?
Quod Erat Demonstrandum! =)
Train, pump truck and coach are definite purchases for me
^^Faultless logic! Priceless! :P
The tee-pee looks terrible in that picture. I hope it turns out better in person.
You got me there Indy! I guess I'll just say I'd prefer the look of cloth over plastic. Personally I think a cloth tepee represents it better than plastic, but that's just me. :P
@the_real_indy, nice, i like the argument. Tents are obviously made of cloth though, because Indy got a cloth one in 7624!
I'm a big fan of these sets, I think they look very well thought out and designed, but also look like great packs for parts etc. I love the way the cavalry builder pack is called just that!
Haha, I used Lego for a (two) presentation(s) in my AP US History class last year. What I wouldn't have given to have some of those cavalrymen as Union soldiers for my American Civil War diorama!
Personally, the train and the mine and the carriage are the best and worth getting.
i wonder if the minifigs will be worth alot on bricklink or ebay
Hy, I found some good pics on this site: http://www.leg-technic.hu/hirek_erdekessegek/35/korvonalazodnak-a-the-lone-ranger-szettek
These new sets very impressed me, i always liked the western theme :)
The train is a definate for me it looks awesome.
Think I will pick up a couple of these along with the gold mine too. Does anyone know the exact release date, seen April stated but not when in April?
Interested! Plan to get this once release.
