Free LEGO at Toys R Us (UK)
Posted by Huw,There are usually a number of offers on around Easter time to encourage you to part with your money on toys instead of chocolate, but this year they seem thin on the ground.
The only one I've been made aware of is at Toys R Us (UK):
- Spend £40 and get a free bucket (one of four) worth £12.99
- Spend £40 and get a £10 voucher to spend between 15th April and 6th May 2013
TRU is currently selling the three 'Great Vehicles' (60016-60018) for £13.49 instead of £17.99 so if you buy all three you'll ends up quids in... Thanks to Lucien for the news.
Are you aware of any other Easter promotions? Let us know in the comments.

Both of these deals can also be combined with the £5-off voucher code that I mentioned in the forum :)
Also, Smyths have 20% off with the code EASTER20
Man, UK always gets everything. US? Nothing D:<
@Blaziken5x you guys already have them all!!~ ^^
There are some good US deals covered in the forums.
The offer is also available to ROI customers as well and if you spend £50 you get free standard shipping too
wow! great deal, too bad I'm in Guatemala :(
UK has a bunch of special deals like "Spend £40 and get a free bucket (one of four) worth £12.99" which could be used for spare parts or "Spend £40 and get a £10 voucher to spend between 15th April and 6th May 2013" for future purchases. US doesn't get those types of deals.
Pretty sure the US gets lots of reductions on bigger sets the whole time that we dont get.
Outside of Amazon we dont really get any of the huge discounts anywhere in the same way US builders do at Walmart/Target etc
@paulmison - I have been in the habit of cheking the forum, but the categories such as shopping USA/CANADA are now absent from the main screen. Am I missing something?
By the way, last year Target in the US had Polybags for 50% off along with their after Easter clearence on other misc. items. It didn't ring up right, but I complained and they gave them to me since they were right under a 50% off sign.
I don't wish to spark the standard US vs. UK price war again, but the US pays far less than the UK for Lego usually (between 60% and 80% of the cost I believe).
However, it is worth considering that both the UK and the US pay significantly less for Lego than almost every other country so the only people who have any right to complain in my opinion are those in Australia, New Zealand and South America (as well as some Continental European countries). There is nothing we can do and complaining about it won't help so I suggest we just accept the situation for what it is.
I don't know if this has anything to do with Easter, but every Lego set except for Superheroes was buy one get one 50% off at my local Toys R Us when I went yesterday.
I had that deal too Jaypwr16, they had they deal before and I scored. Got the Battle of Hoth, Tie Bomber, and a poly bad for about $60 or so dollars.
^^^ Blaziken... seeing as UK recommended prices are usually 20-40% higher than US prices, we need some love!
For example... 60016 Tanker Truck: US$19.99... recommended UK price = US$27.33 (markup of 37%!)
