Brick City: LEGO for Grown-ups
Posted by Huw,
You will recall that we reviewed this excellent new book a couple of weeks ago. A Facebook page has been set up for it and I'm told that there's going to be some announcements there relating to the book and the work within it in the next couple of weeks, so please visit and 'Like' it so that you're kept in the loop.

Is this different than Brick City: Global Icons to Make from LEGO? Because I bought that one yesterday.
^ I believe it's just a different title for North America.
If anyone's in central London then the St Pancras model by Warren is on display in Waterstones Piccadilly.
Well worth a look.
^ I just read about that in the Daily Telegraph as it happens today! I am in London at the weekend so will go over and have a look.
There was an article about the book, MOCs and AFOLdom in last week's hard copy of Time Out as well as a soft version: http://now-here-this.timeout.com/2013/05/03/bricking-it-lego-for-grown-ups/ . I contacted Huw about them. The hard copy stated that there would be several examples of Elsmore's MOCs at Waterstones, Piccadilly while the soft copy implied it. Both are wrong. There is and will be only St Pancras. Still very impressive and worth a look if you're in London. Keep an eye out for some unexpected minifigs. The ghosts waving to each other infront of the station was a particularly amusing touch.
^ there is also a display of some of the smaller MOCs from the book in the window of Waterstone's, on the Piccadilly side.
Or at least there were when we installed them on the 6th of this month.
Glad you like my waving ghosts.
