Friends Advent Calendar - Day 12

Posted by ,

The kitchen builds in the last few days have been nice, and evocative of the season, but haven't had much of a holiday flair to them. Perhaps today, as we're at the halfway point in the calendar, we'll get something a little more festive.

Festive decorations - check! I like the greenery with berries as the decorations on top of the dog's house. Of course, the little dog is very cute, and has only been seen once before, which is a bonus.

Like I observed yesterday, prior years would have had the dog and the house in different days, so it seems that the advent calendar has definitely taken a turn for the better this year!

Never mind the yellow, inquiring minds need to know if those are blood splatters on it.

As a line, "Friends" is much more interesting if you assume that these overtly-cheerful characters secretly all have sinister motivations.

I'm sure the bodies are buried in Heartlake City somewhere.

@Zordboy: I don't think they're buried in Heartlake city proper, but in the woods outside of town. That's how Mia picked up her love of the outdoors.

A few years ago, a particularly awful season of "Power Rangers" featured bland characters. One of them was Emma, and her only moment of characterisation was that she liked going into the woods to photograph butterflies. Someone on Rangerboard said that it was so sickeningly wholesome, they automatically expected her of having actually sinister motivations. From there, the whole fandom jumped on the meme that she was a homicidal maniac, and the only reason she liked going out into the woods was to bury her most recent victims in shallow graves. Someone responded by saying that she looked more like a "single mass grave" kind of girl, to which a third person replied, "Well the cheer-leading team shouldn't have made her angry, should they?"

It made an intolerably awful season of Power Rangers actually pretty entertaining. We had some fun, that year.

Anyway.

@Zordboy:
This is a flashback to the main theme, correct? Well, this dog is named Yeller for the color of his coat. Someday, in a decade or so, he’ll be old.
