Rhino and Ms Marvel!

By in United States,

that rhino is awesome, I'll 100% get that set and add him to the bugle, also just a heads up the person who made this article gave the webquarters hangout, doc ock headquarters, and techno trike the same price and piece info

Also like the female Doc."

I mean seeing as we don’t know the prices for half of them, what are you judging that on?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Those last 2 prices have to be wrong! 5 minifigs, 2 vehicles & a base for £8.99?

And do all those figures have midi legs?

Gravatar
By in Norway,

These looked like duplo at first glance

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really love these sets! They’re much better than some of the other 4+ Marvel sets released in recent years IMO. Those minifigs are all winners.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are really good.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is the listed price for that headquarters listed right? Looks kinda low.

Yep, they are wrong. The prices are 10,20,30 and 50 €/$. And the correct piece count is 59, 110, 131 and 155.

Rhino and Hulk have normal legs. Hulk even dual molded ones.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those are great prices! Might pick them then

Amazing sets...

I thought so too!

By in United States,

Need that Rhino! So much better than the MCU version in 76037.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love these sets. It's a nice breath of fresh air from the usual Spider-Man stuff we've been getting for the past couple years. I love the new molds for the minifigs! Hope we see a female Doc Ock in the main line soon, too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Way too expensive imo, especially the Webquarters. I might get the Rhino one for him, the old Kamala Khan is probably less expensive than this new one will be on Bricklink because of the set’s price. Doc Ock’s hair is cool but that’s all I really have to say, Juniors sets don’t interest me aside from the Minifigures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Everyone just looks so happy. Like they all just got together to hang out and drive around.

Really like the minifigs and love the fact the vehicles aren't huge. Simplistic because they are 4+ but I love that they are small.

None rise to the level of a "want to buy" but I'd happily but them for my 6-year old nephew if he wanted them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For being Juniors sets, they aren't that bad.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are cute! I've never seen the show but I love the fig designs (including several colors of the still fairly rare mid-length legs). The color coded webs (which I'm assuming are accurate to the cartoon) are neat too, and I like that new big domed web piece (which looks like it'd be fun to use on a spider-themed building or vehicle).

One of these days I really ought to Bricklink a bunch of those web pieces that are exclusive to Spider-Man sets. There's so many that have been introduced in recent years, and while I'm not really a Super Heroes collector they'd probably be great to use to enhance some of my Monkie Kid sets and MOCs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I could be mistaken, but I spy three new moulds: Rhino’s headgear, the domed web piece, and the 1x2 plate with bar along one long edge and arachnoid claw along the other.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I saw the title and hoped it was based on "Spiderman and his Amazing Friends" from the eighties cartoon show. That would mean Spidey, Firestar and Iceman. Disappointed, but they're pretty cool sets just the same.

" @ForestMenOfEndor : um, actually, that Rhino was based on his brief appearance in Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is not part of the MCU. That being said, however, if rumors of Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man making an appearance in No Way Home turn out to be true, you could be half-right..."

(spoilers?!) I haven't seen No Way Home, yet, but Feige has indicated that most if not all of the pre-existing Marvel stories (Spidey, X-Men, etc.) are now part of the larger multiverse, which in my mind makes all of the film versions of these characters canon to the MCU. We'll see!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Printed pieces and not stickers.... I'm assuming that's what these sets have (based on previous sets aimed at younger group). Nice!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Who’s the little dude in the glass cylinder? Just a “radioactive” spider? In a world where Alligator Loki exists, I can’t rule out any comic book creature or character. :)

Its a spider drone that helps the team out :)

Gravatar
By in France,

Guess I'll get 10782 just for Rhino, and Hulk minifig... the former to complete my range of Marvel villains.

Gravatar
By in United States,

If I said I just threw up in my mouth a little, I’d be lying. I threw up a lot in my mouth.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sadly I misread this and thought this was a nod to the much older animated TV series 'Spiderman and his Amazing Friends' and we were going to get Iceman and Firestar (the latter being in a much cheaper set than the Daily Bugle)!!

Gutted.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Minifig Hulk again finally!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Interesting choice to give them all medium legs. I never really understood the short legs thing anyway, and now we're halfway back to full size legs. I guess this is an improvement cos now they can sit down, but I don't see why kids wouldn't like normal size legs. At least this is going to make medium legs more widely available

In the show, Spidey and co are kids- this thus the shorter legs

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

That red rounded-off spider-man car chassis is probably the best 4+ prefab car part they have done so far.

If they did that for a City car, with printed headlight I could consider it, most 4+ cars look too thick/blocky otherwise.

Same here

Rhino finally gets a decent fig. I bet that set becomes a must have even tho the build is Juniorized. Interesting new claw / spider leg pieces. Like how they all have the medium length legs.

Same - was so hyped for a second and then realised it was Spidey and not Spiderman ... guess I'll keep dreaming

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Zander:
There’s some sort of footrest on the glider in 10782, possibly a new hair in 10783, and I’m not sure what that little red blob is in both 10783 and 10784.

@captcrouton:
That was the last time I cared about Spiderman (excluding 2099), and the last time I remember seeing Firestar.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Those Miles and Gwen minifigs would be perfect for Mighty Micros MOCs. Too bad the minifig faces are more "normal" looking or Rhino, Doc Ock, and Ms. Marvel could also be used for that...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@PurpleDave, Well spotted. I agree the footrest looks new as does the 1x1 spider bot.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The blue of Spidey's torso in that picture of 10782 looks terrible. Almost looks grey. Hopefully it looks better in real life.

That might just be a mistake in that image, it doesn't look as bad in the other images.

Gravatar

Rhino and Green Goblin with those grins look like the came out of the me and the boys meme.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are some of the worst sets I have ever seen. Wow these suck.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Possible future waves notwithstanding, this the first and most probably will be the only LEGO theme whose minifigures all have mid-legs!

Hulk and Rhino don’t have the medium legs

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

“Actually my friends call me Liv. My -enemies- call me Doc Ock.”

Also glad they went back to using the old hood piece for Spider-Gwen, it actually looks like a hood while the newer design just made it look she had a massive forehead

By in Singapore,

I just opened up a 24/7 livestream of episodes of this show. Pretty good so far! It's just a really cute, colorful, positive and kid-friendly version of Spider-Man which is what you'd expect from a Disney Jr. show. Even Rhino and Green Goblin are fairly young. Doc Ock isn't actually addressed by name so it's unclear if she's Olivia Octavius or a different individual. The little spider-bot is called Trace-E and is actually a character in their own right and not just a tool Spidey uses.

Sometimes I feel so spoiled by highly detailed superhero minifigures that these more simplified yet still high-quality ones are a breath of fresh air to me. I won't be getting any of these sets but if I had to pick one, it'd probably be either 10782 or 10784.

Addendum: Oh my god I just read that apparently this was the last show to air on Disney Jr. SEA before it ended... I was not expecting yet another gut punch today.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm pretty sure the string piece to which the web pieces are attached don't have the stiffness to stand up nevermind hold any additional weight. How much creative license are you manufacturers allowed in these photos? I guess you could fling the piece into that position for a split second, so it's technically possible, but feels a little deceptive to me

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Now Lego needs to do a Superhero Kindergarten set, with a Stan Lee and Arnold fig.

It was thought up by Stan Lee before he passed away, but since its not Marvel/Disney its not as well known.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Rhino needs to be given the big fig treatment, but that rendition looks very much like classic comic book rhino and so is a must-have for my collection.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Might get Rhino vs Hulk set eventually, those figs look great. And maybe bricklink that spider drone.

Good eye, I didn't know that midi legs had room on the sides like that. I imagine these can also work for minidolls (?)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I honestly thought these were duplo at first glance.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Padmewan:
Minifig legs have a slight taper to allow clearance for the hands when the arms are lowered. The feet, therefore, seem like they should be two full studs wide, but they’re not. It looks like all four leg sizes (short, midi, mini, and Toy Story 3) have the same width at top and bottom, and it’s just the height and angle of taper that change.

There’s already a Friends foot mount, since they can’t attach to studs to sit, but I think that has a T-shaped wall. Minifigs can use it, too, which surprised me (which makes me think this could also be Friends-compatible). This is definitely a different piece, as the stud orientation shows this part has studs, while the Friends version attaches to studs on another part. It looks a bit like the recent 1x2 enclosed panel (which also attaches to studs on another part), but the walls in the image look incredibly thin, and I’m curious how durable the part is going to be.

By in Canada,

While Marvel isn't "my thing" anymore (and hasn't been since 'bout the late 90's) I wonder some stuff: I'm wondering how the web-domes are connected to the line (I've seen pics of them being unattached to the lines, connected to each other).

And given the theme's name: how would a set w/Firestar and Iceman look...and how would TLG make Iceman? Transparent Clear? T. Light-Blue? White (the most BORING option)...hmm...brick-built 'Video Man'...

Gravatar
By in United States,

@brick_r:
The web domes have a single stud in the center of the top, which is visible in 10782 due to the way the dome is being held. They have clips on one side and a bar on the other, which makes me suspect they’re designed to allow you to clamshell two domes into a pod.

As for Iceman, hands, hips, and torsos won’t be made in any transparent colors (pirate hook hands being the only sorta-exception). I would expect they’d make him in whatever shade of blue was used for NRG Zane.
