Images of 75326 Boba Fett's Throne Room have emerged on Amazon.de. The release date is apparently the 15th of February, although that seems improbably soon, so might be a pre-order date instead.

The published price €80.12 probably represents a small discount. Nevertheless, we do know that the set contains an excellent selection of seven minifigures, populating the famous audience chamber!

Nice to get a Quarren head piece

Gravatar
By in United States,

At $100, I'm debating if I want to get this, or save my money for the rumored Cad Bane's ship or Episode 2 sets...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd prefer a UCS palace set with ROTJ figures but this is nice to have on the market right now, and the figures look great.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’m a fan of this! Also is that the first time we’ve had 2 stickers on one piece?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Its really nice to finally have another Jabba's/Boba Fett's palace! I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't have the domed roof or the ability to fit a rancor cage underneath (at least as far as I can tell), but its still a cool set with a reasonable price.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Not bad. Should of had 2 Gamorrean Guards though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's cool. I would really appreciate them giving Boba the accurate dark green helmet but we're still holding out on that. The other figures are very nice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like Bib brought a stick to a gun fight. Also, I expect this doesn’t bode well for those hoping to see a new Jabba’s Throne Room set in the near future.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Any idea who the quarran and the pink haired character are, don't remember them in the show?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh cool, four characters who don't appear in the show at all. Should just be called "Mandalorian Season 2 Post Credits Scene"

For a Star Wars set it doesn't look terrible... but there were other interesting characters from the show, so it's disappointing that Disney couldn't share those details with the set designers.

The pink-haired and Quarren characters are both present in the shadows around Bib Fortuna during the post credits scene from The Mandalorian. They are probably inspired by Rystáll Sant and Tessek from Return of the Jedi, although neither has been absolutely confirmed.

I am confident the pink-haired Theelin is intended to be Rystáll though, since her costume and hair are extremely distinctive.

Awful hair piece for Fennec, there’s already an existing one that’s perfect. Playability is decent, probably a later purchase for me though

Yes, I’m hoping I can get the Quarren minifig separate for a decent price or that they will release it in another set. Because the set is not very appealing for someone who already owns the last jabbas palace.

I like it but I am not jumping for joy at it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This motivated me to rewatch the post-credits scene of Mando Season 2, and this is clearly based only on that - not the Book of Boba Fett at all. There was a Quarren and a Weequay in the scene that were pretty obvious, but the pink-haired dancer is in the back, is hardly seen, and flees immediately. A blue Twi'lek dancer would have made more sense. And 12 more Gamorrean Guards please. Aaaannnnnnd I still want to buy it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It seems so short and stubby.. especially for $100

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Rystall Sant really needed a new hair piece, and her skin should be white.

On another note, I find it really funny that they didn't dare make the set look like the actual building from the movie, because last time, some moral busybodies argued that the set characterized Turkish people as terrorists, which just baffling. We live in a really strange world.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Throne seems a bit small for Jabba, maybe it was resized for Bib

Thanks! It's a shame they couldn't feature any actual characters from the book of boba fett, Disney must have kept them under wraps, again.....

I’m content with my 2012 Jabba’s palace, this looks rather insubstantial to me

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I like this. That said, they could easily have given this the 'Harry Potter' treatment. I.e.: several smaller set that all attach to each other to form a great palace with (1) throne room - this one (first floor), (2) bacta chamber room with balcony (first floor), (3) hangar room (basement), (4) rancor pit (basement), potentially (5) the kitchen with 3 droids. And whichever rooms we might see in the future.

This is a very good start (coming from someone that usually do not buy Star Wars - but since Technic is so lame lately, I'm buying all sorts of other themes now). Let's see if they will offer the Rancor pit for this (I sure hope so). Finally, I must say the 'play functions' are a little bit gimmicky but do not negatively affect the final result.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Does this really not include Fennec's helmet? Even though it is prominent on the box artwork?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The flatness of the roof and the grey connection points on top make me think another set might be coming to actually put on *top* of this - probably Boba's bacta-chamber/apartments.

Could just be greebling but it looks like they're supposed to serve a purpose.

I like this - and seems highly probable looking at the setup of the roof - let's hope!

I love the way how, with a regular minifigure torso, they widen the lekku on Bib Fortuna to still make him look like his big chungus show appearance!

There have been various wall pieces, particularly in Hidden Side sets, with multiple brickwork stickers.

Nice mini-figures. The set however looks pretty amateurish especially in comparison to 9516 Jabba's Palace which felt more complete and that was 10 YEARS AGO! Furthermore, this doesn't look like this can combine with a "rancor pit". I would like to see pictures of the back as I wonder how that holds up (I'm guessing not very well). All in all, might keep an eye out for the individual minifigs.

Okay Mike, we get your point :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

One guess as to why they removed the rounded roofs from this one.

I can’t really judge the set until I know the price but the fact that it’s not based on Book of Boba Fett itself but only the post credits scene of Mando 2 does kind of bring it down for me, I get that the shows usually get accurate sets later but the lack of another Gamorrean Guard and the inclusion of background characters who never appear in the show stick out. I guess it’s kind of fitting for them to not base a set around the titular show that can’t base itself around its titular character, though. :P

Rhymes with “Bossk”

Gravatar

They included a bunch of forgetable characters but not the twi'lek slave (or should I say Bib's Starship) Fennec freed from the chains.

Wrong, it wasn't about turkish people, but muslims in general. They did however compare the design of the palace to that of the Hagia Sofia mosque in Istanbul. Ludicrous of course. They were made fun of by pretty much everyone back then.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

> finally a Quarren

We need Star Wars battlepacks solely containing aliens. Everyone must have a thousand human SW minifigs by now. I want to build a colorful galaxy :(

Gravatar
By in France,

The 2012 Jabba's palace looks better, isn't it?

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Looks cool, but the pricing of the Star Wars sets this year (and some from last year too) remains absurd. Did the Disney tax for SW really grew that much? R$999.99 is unwelcoming for a 732 parts set (that looks even smaller than this).

That's why I'm even more into Ninjago and Marvel now. Even the Monkie Kid sets that I need to import and pay an additional tax have a better value for the money.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I've still got the old Jabba's Palace so there's a bit of redundancy, but taking off the tower and the other side room this looks like it'll make a very nice little vignette. Shame not to have characters from the actual series, but that's on Disney keeping them under wraps I assume, and at least there's Boba and Fennec to put on the throne and perched on the arm respectively. Just have to hold out hope for a Streets of Mos Espa set later, with the Mods and Fur D'Argo.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The first Book of Boba Fett-related LEGO set being based on an episode of The Mandalorian instead is strangely fitting for that series.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

This must be the beginning of several waves of the rumoured Bib Fortuna spinoff movies spun off from Boba Fett called Bib: The Fortuna Saga.

Watch Bib’s backstory unfold from troubled youngster to Jabba’s right hand man; share in his grief at seeing that big slug die and how he secured power and girth as the ruler of Tatooine before being Fetted off the throne. Drool liberally until you need a permanent absorbent garment around your neck as you gaze upon the spectacular scenery of varied locales such as the desert and other sandy places. Bib: The Fortuna Saga can only be found on Disney Minus. Coming December, 2023.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The only thing I care about is the new Quarren head. I hope they're going to reuse it for a Tikkes minifigure.

That does make sense! Especially given that the name of the set is “Boba Fett’s Throne Room”, and not his “Palace”.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Its...ok, but the first thing I thought when I saw it was: "Thats not Jabbas palace!" And its not! Wheres the iconic dome that literally is the definitive feature of the building? This is simply a building. Its (I think) a good building for a SW set, Ill buy it, but Im disappointed with Legos omission of the round roof. Lego can and should do better. (But the new Quarren head is brilliant!)

No. Not by a long shot. It looks like you’ll even need to skip past the first eight parts to get to those that only have two stickers.

@Ladondorf:
I looked up articles on that a while back to refresh my memory on certain details, and it turns out much better info had become available since then. The whole thing makes a lot more sense to me now than it did a decade ago. Still not a lot of sense, but more.

@MCNwakeboard:
Well, the “throne” that Jabba used was basically just a king-sized stone slab. You could sit on the front edge, but reclining would make it difficult to keep an eye on the murderous villains lurking in pretty much every available corner of the room.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

But... but, IT'S BIB FORTUNA'S!!!!!!! I'm actually quite amazed LEGO actually made a rendition of this scene.

Regardless, I think this looks fantastic with amazing minifigures (Quarren and Pink Haired Lady in particular), but I do think a Return of the Jedi version with Jabba is too long overdue. Even another Jabba minifigure would be alright.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I really like Fennec's hair piece, I think it works really well, sorry to those who disagree. This set is also called Throne Room, not palace, so I have no qualms with the absence of a "roof".

OG sets are cool, but I would much rather have sets representing the current Star Wars (cool to have a mix of the old- but not dominate) , eg I would love a recent Captain Rex, that last one of those was in 2012 and Clone Wars S7 has been out a while now!.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is a pretty cool set, and I'm tempted by it because I bet we will see some other characters from the show in other future sets to help flesh out Boba's entourage.

My opinion is that the minifigure selection here was a missed opportunity to include other characters more relevant to the show, like Krrsantan, 8D8, an aqualish, a trandoshan, or one of the mods. Possibly all Lego had to go off of was that end credits scene when they designed this set? Otherwise why focus so heavily on the end credits scene that not everyone watched? That was really the only place four of these figures (Rystall, Quarren, Weequay, and Bib) ever appeared in the palace, and only for a moment. I find the back of the box funny with Boba on the throne and Bib just chilling with his dudes, as if Boba Fett let him live in the "Legoland" version of the show.

The hinges on top of the palace could just be decoration, but maybe it looks so empty up there because there will be a future bacta tank room set to connect on top? Would be cool and could be a way for Lego to avoid marketing the complete palace in a way that looks like a mosque if the bacta set was dome-shaped.

Lego, if you're listening, how about "Bacta Tank Attack" with Boba Fett in a diaper, Krrsantan, and Drash to connect to the palace top?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like it! I’ll definitely be adding this to the Jabba’s X sets from ten years ago (!) to complete a big Jabba’s (/ Bib’s / Boba’s) Palace.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This one should fall in price quite quickly. The series was a bit of a mess tbh - with Boba feeling like an extra in his own show. Mando is the new cool guy in town and Boba is very much over the hill.

Gravatar
By in United States,

$100? That has to be $80, right? Right?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Quarren!! I like the set more or less. A bit weird and that tower is a bit redundant imo because Jabba’s Palace is better. Nevertheless i’d like to pick up on sale

Gravatar
By in United States,

I actually really like this set. The price is quite steep for what you get, but I think I'll try to get it on discount.

In general, this set greatly under-exceeded my expectations."

It exceeded your expectations in the same moment you learned of its existence? What were your expectations for it before you were aware it was coming? :p

IIRC Jaba didn't really have a throne, he just sat on the slab, so maybe Bib had one installed? I could be off, though, it's been awhile since I've seen Return of the Jedi.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@ICAbricks:
They’ve made a shark, a zombie-shark, a T-rex, and a rancor that can all fit minifigs in their mouths. I’ve lost count of how many actual zombie minifigs they’ve produced. They’ve tried to make Frankenstein’s monsters seem less scary by replacing stitches with cuts that are held together with safety pins. They’ve released several sets over the years that play into common phobias, like arachnophobia or coulrophobia. I think the ship has sailed on morbidity, and we should just sit back and wait for them to make a spider in a clown costume that can eat minifigs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Could be bigger with more details like the old one. And should be $80-90. Didn't watch the show but the set name is funny assuming the room wasn't Boba's yet since he was attacking it lol

Gravatar
By in United States,

This makes me even happier that I scored a Jabba's Palace (9516-1) for peanuts at a thrift store a few years ago. I just wish it were possible to find the companion Rancor expansion (75005-1) for a reasonable price. Oh well.

Great idea! My old Jabba's Palace with Rancor Pit required you to moc a building underneath the entrance otherwise it would be suspended in midair. So, I kept going, and added a couple of prison cells and a droid torture room for SW0072. This new set will add a perfect first floor for those mocs.

The new set is a bit underwhelming and overpriced. Yet, the Jabba sets always have been. I guess it's tradition. They do come with GREAT minifigures!

I second the suggestions for a UCS version. That would be incredible!

My first choice would be this friends ponytail braid https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11605&C=11 T=P&C=11

The Makkari / Friends part is not the worst fit but it's always sad when the perfect mold already exists and is ignored.

Same with the choice of Rystall when we could have gone with a new Twilek dancer instead. But no, slave is a sacred word now. ...Um, again I guess. Is Rystall really that much better off than the slave? It seemed to me like she was coerced into being there. Like, she is being treated slightly better I guess but that makes a figure then okay?

Gravatar
By in United States,

It’s fair. Just like the show was.

It’s not bad. Not something I shudder at. I’ll consume it because I like the brand. But no one can convince me it is worth loving in a way that is typical for the brands on that box.

Just one person’s opinion.

Yeah, that's my biggest complaint here. Her helmet is visible ON THE ARTWORK, but not in the actual set. That's a HUGE oversight. ...like when they did a Star Wars Rebels set and left out Sabine's trademark custom painted helmet. (It was only in the more expensive set that appealed to fewer people and never available via Bricks & Pieces.)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It'd be nice to see Fennec Shand in an affordable set, as both the sets she features in are upper price range.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

In case anyone is wondering why Bib Fortuna is sitting on Jabba's throne, he only ruled shortly after Jabba's death before been killed by the bounty hunter Boba Fett (enter stage right on box art) who then took over Jabba's crime empire. I still prefer 9516 with the circular roof, deeper throne room and taller tower, but the additional left side build which can rotate is a great addition and likely to display well with the Mos Eisley cantina.
