Double VIP points in October

Well I pulled the trigger and bought the Haunted House. My son has been asking for it for over a year, I think I might let him build it for Halloween.

No Clone Lieutenant in the UK again, awesome.

I know. I was hoping to get a few more of these, I was in NYC in September so scored a couple at the Rock store, I suspect if we get it they will be January.

I mailed the Customer Service a couple of days ago to know if the Lego Store Employee minifig would be included in my order, and they told to wait because in a few days a Star Wars minifigure would be included.....no mention of the Lego Store Employee minifig (so i guess we in Europe are not getting it for now). I expected to see the SW minifig from today...

Remember that 40082 (Christmas Tree Stand) is available later in October with qualifying purchases. You'll also get double points. I'll be waiting until then.

Is it definitely confirmed that 40082 (Christmas Tree Stand) will be coming out later in the month to be added free along with a purchase (for example either of the big winter village sets)? Or was it just a rumour/assumption?

Do we still get the Clone trooper Lieutenant?

I can confirm that 40082 will be available later in October. I just received my Lego.com email newsletter that says it will be free with purchases of $99 or more from 10/14-10/31.

Plan on buying EV3 this month. This will make a lot of VIP points :D And use my $10 off on the Mindstorms set as well.
Might buy it after the 14th because of exclusive set :)

if we buy, say the winter village set and 50+ dollars of star wars sets in the second half of the month, would we get both the clone lieutenant and the christmas tree stand?

@tresillian - awesome! The haunted house is amazing. One of my favorite sets to build and display, hands down. Top five, maybe top two. Hope you and your son enjoy it.

@kolaxanthe - I picked up the October calendar from my lego store. 40082 is official for the second half of October. I've been holding onto a gift card for half a year to get Orthanc on double VIP points, I can wait two more weeks. =)

@vader34mt - they should stack, i've gotten different bonuses before by ordering enough and the right kind. Free shipping too!

Interesting note - you can't (or aren't supposed to) be able to stack in a brick & mortar lego store. Employee told me they don't have enough to meet the demand if they do that, so for instance, if I bought Jabba's Sail Barge this month, I would probably have to choose the clone trooper or the xmas set. But if I ordered online, I would get both.

My bigger problem is figuring out what to buy in November... nothing I really want/need, don't want to spend $100 for a bonus holiday set I don't need to. Maybe Rancor Pit and Council of Elrond? =P

I really don't get the hype about double VIP points. I mean, with all the amazing deals on Amazon in the UK at the moment, you'd save much more there. Plus you only get £5/$5 when you spend £100/$100, which, in my opinion, isn't worth it. I hardly ever shop on lego.com anymore because I could save money if I bought elsewhere.
