Vote for a future Minecraft minifigure!

Posted by ,

LEGO fans have an opportunity to influence a minifigure which will be available in the 2023 Minecraft range, much like the Ninja chosen during 2021.

The three options are the Crystal Knight, the Classic Knight and the Prismarine Knight. You can submit your vote on Twitter, before the vote will close in five days.

Which minifigure received your vote? Let us know in the comments.

I honestly really like seeing LEGO cameos as Minecraft skins. Think Kai has appeared in one of the Pillager sets in the past.

I loved how gitty the blonde Mojang employee(?) was at LEGO CON! She clearly loved what she did and was stoked to be there.

I didn’t know that the Crystal Knight was a Ninjago reference, I’m very behind on the theme. If it weren’t for that I assumed the classic knight would win since classic castle seems popular now but it could go in any direction, Minecraft doesn’t have the best history with holding a voting session for one of three different options to get chosen but let’s see how this goes.

It's hard for me to hear a 3-option-vote that's Minecraft related without thinking of all those mob and biome votes...

Do people buying the Lego Minecraft sets really care which random anonymous skin gets thrown in? I see a few people here speculating that a couple of these might be Castle or Ninjago easter eggs (though the Crystal Knight looks more like an Amethyst Geode to me), but I don't know if most Minecraft fans would know or care about that.

Showed this the grandkid as shes currently obsessed with minecraft, and she didn't like any of them. For a point, she does like lego too, so gotta agree not sure what the point of this is...

Crystal Knight torso would probably get the most use as a moc though.

Gee a figure with a classic Lego reference, I wonder if it'll win??

A fun idea! I would like to see fan votes for other themes as well, maybe a 3-in-1 set or City set that gets a design around a fan voted fig. I can only imagine the trouble the community would cause if it was for a Marvel or Star Wars fig! Even still, I think it would be cool.

By in United States,

As someone who has been an avid Minecraft fan over the past 9 years, this is kind of silly to me since none of the figures are really appealing or actually used by players.

They should use skins that are either popular with the playerbase or worn by well-known (appropriate) YouTubers if they want this type of vote to be successful.

HEY LEGO! Stop polluting my Minecraft sets with useless irrelevant references outside the theme.

You'd think...but Crystal Knight is currently leading by a WIDE margin with over 50% of the vote!

A very tough choice between cherry blossoms (?), a pink mouse on a shield with a purple splotch (?), and turtle shell on backwards (?) !

@Sandinista:
If any of these was a Bionicle reference, I’m sure they’d make up a new rule to ensure Classic Knight won.

Good choices, thanks for this news.

I just noticed the knight has PURPLE STREAK OF HAIR on the torso. That ruined figure for me.

By in United Kingdom,

I can't imagine there's much crossover between 13 year-old minecraft fans and 30 year-old castle fans. The previous pixelated ninjago one seemed to make more sense.

I don't like that a twitter account is required to vote this time.

I agree, takes away the reusability of the torso.

As far as I can tell, the first figure is based on the Amethyst Geodes from Minecraft 1.17, the second figure is based on Classic Castle from the old days of LEGO, and the third is based on the Ocean Monument from Minecraft 1.8.

All three figures are knight themed to cover Castle winning the 90th Anniversary vote, and the middle one has an Axolotl from Minecraft 1.17 on its torso.

Does anyone know of a good site to buy custom printed minifigs? (And/or stickers.) Between this and last year's vote we now have four LEGO Minecraft figures that'll never be officially produced, but I still want to add them to my display. Might even throw in some of my favorite YouTubers if I can find a good graphics design program.

I’d vote for the crystal knight because of the colors but I uninstalled Twitter in January 2021 because it was nothing more than an outlet for hate speach from everyone, including people who said they were against hate speach. ¯\_(?)_/¯

I don’t miss it at all.

By in Netherlands,

None of them look really "knight" like , beside the throwback to lion knights in the middle torso colors, nothing really "classic" about it with the Purple hair printed on the torso and the pink axoltl

Crystal Knight black legs look out of place.

Prismarine Knight looks the most cohesive as both a minifig toy and an in-game skin.
