21189 The Skeleton Dungeon and 21190 The Abandoned Village have been announced at LEGO Con!
These two sets will be released on the 1st of August and you can find images with pricing information below...
21189 The Skeleton Dungeon

man the price hikes are rather apparent here IMO, especially with that abandoned village, seems to me like it was clearly designed to be $40
They both feel a little expensive, but not too bad. Looking forward to getting them on sale!

Did I see on Lego con that with the abandoned village you can turn the ground with the bed over and it becomes a door for the abandoned house? It was so quick I didn’t quite catch it

That skeleton dungeon obviously should be $30, but it honestly isn't terrible at $35. I see enough in there for me to feel okay about it.
On the other hand, the abandoned village is $10 too much. Good thing I don't really care about it.
Well…crap. I need the two new zombies (they are zombies, right?, and I just had a use for those white octagonal bar plates.
The 2nd Skeleton Dungeon pic shows how poorly this set was built. Look at the gaps in between at least 3 element connections. Is the marketing team building these sets?
These sets look nice, expectedly blocky, but with relatively decent, varied terrain. Due to my budget plans, I hadn't acquired Minecraft sets in the previous years and do not plan to get these sets, but they are all right.
Value-wise, 21190 seems to be 10 USA dollars or 15 AUD dollars too much, and like multiple other comments, $40 USD is much better, but I don't think the price hike is too unreasonable or ludicrous. Still, it is noticeably expensive compared to 21170, which has approximately 70 more pieces. Comparing these two sets reveal a PPP increase significantly higher than the inflation rate, but it is not atrocious, unlike what I believe for some City sets. 21189 is too slightly expensive by $5 USD or $5-10 AUD but compares similarly to past Minecraft sets, such as 21168, in my opinion.
