They did my guy Attuma dirty, his minifigure looks bland compared to the movie counterpart..
This movie looks absolutely incredible, but unfortunately I think these sets are a tiny bit disappointing. I like Namor's Throne Room the best, but I'm let down by the inaccurate hair on Nakia and the absence of characters like Okoye, Ramonda, Ayo, and Namora, not to mention the lack of generic Atlantean/Talocan soldiers. I know there's still the biggest set to be revealed so hopefully we're getting Okoye and Namora at the very least.
I love the Ironheart and Shuri minifigures though, and I'm very glad LEGO still included a T'Challa figure even if he's gone in the MCU. Shuri's Black Panther costume has an interesting color scheme. Namor looks incredible as well - so happy that LEGO shelled out for side leg printing on him, since it was absolutely necessary in this case. I hope Shuri's Sunbird has a cool feature or interesting build techniques at the back! Hopefully the biggest set is the large ship seen in the trailer or the Wakandan throne room.
These look awesome. Never thought I'd see Namor as a minifigure. Or in the MCU, for that matter!
It looks like they have given Namor printing to reprise his little ankle wings, I was wondering if they’d go all in for that
Funny how Shuri's Sunbird is anticipated to be an underwater vehicle in the film, as its name would be more so suitable for the sky.
I realised today that as excited as I am for the movie, I was much more excited at the thought of finally getting a Namor minifigure.
And let me guess with the Marvel/Disney licensing and inflation 76213 is $49.99? No thanks, neat, but relatively bland. Going to have to get much more picky about what to get with ppp exploding.

Price per piece does not always determine the value of the set as a whole, and we do not even know if the price tags of these sets will be increasing, so best not to worry.
Easy pass.
They all look like 'pocket money' sets from the size of them, but we'll see how the Disney Tax pays out...
As for content, none of them really interest me.
I did not realize Avatars were in Black Panther.
Lego Atlantis, is that you? I'm completely OOTL when it comes to Marvel by now, will Chadwick Boseman be in the film as CGI? Would it spoil other/previous movies to tell me how they're writing him out? I don't watch the Marvel trailers anymore, same with most post-Endgame movies.
76212 appears to be a BP1 set.
Nice to see smaller play sets. That hair piece is pretty crazy.
Glad to see the Uruk-Hai is still being used.

If you've watched the trailer, the character who plays his mother screams out, at one point, "my entire family is dead!" so apparently they killed the character off, between movies.
I understand this, because otherwise you'd have to keep coming up with flimsy reasons why T'challa isn't there ... but an argument could be made that they could've just recast the actor. They've done that before.
I was really hoping they'd make Namors incredible headdress form the leaked art.
As with most Marvel sets, I don't really care about the builds that much, but the minifigs are great.
Check out that hat. He must be a really schmott guy!

I doubt it's from the first Black Panther movie; the gold discs seem to represent something that's also seen in 76213 . And given that we see a glimpse of someone in the Black Panther suit (even if it's a different version) at the end of the teaser, there's no reason this early to rule out that suit being seen in Shuri's lab, whether it's because she's working on the suit, or because someone else is in it.
It looks like LEGO Namor might not have the facial hair he's sporting in the teaser, which would be a shame because I like that look. Or it may just be that I can't see the image well enough at this size.

I kinda think that letting T’challa rest was the better call. As much as I like the character, his actor’s death still feels like a fairly fresh memory. That’s not to mention he filmed a lot of his scenes while he was dying of cancer.
Replacing him would just feel... weird. Using CGI on him so soon after his death would feel disrespectful in my opinion. I think passing the mantle onto an already existing character works better here.
I also hope these sets don’t go above 35+. I think what’s here is good! It all just look kinda small.
Honest question: who is building these sets? Kids or adults? Is this a movie 13 year olds want to go see?
This is really just me admitting I’m old and out of touch, but I’m genuinely curious.
Honestly these look like 4+ sets.
These sets look really good! The sunbird should be $50 at the most(taking into account LEGO's price hike), throne room I'm guessing $30, and the lab should be $15(I wish it would be $10, but that's probably unlikely). They certainly look like they were designed for younger audiences, but I really like the lower prices. I may have to pick up a few sets, at a discount of course.
I really wish that they gave black panther printed legs though...

Calm down man. They’re just harmless movies.
Oh look, there are baby na'vi (short legs) in Wakanda!
While I loved Black Panther and had high hopes for Wakanda Forever, I recently dialled down my expectations a few notches - we'll see, I'm open to be happily surprised.
I am wondering if Marvel is not going a little bit too far with their phases 4, 5 and up. To me it is becoming like a whole bunch of whatever (multi-verse, what-if, etc). Does not really matter though; we might still get cool Lego sets containing desirable parts in new colours. With just a few tweaks, Shuri's Sunbird can easily be modified to a Blacktron I spacecraft: remove that trans-dark-blue eyesore and replace it with a magnificent trans-yellow canopy, slap-on a triple triangle logo, add a few other splashes of yellow and maybe a bit of red and you are done)
So LEGO is making the old X-wing windscreen again, it showed up in white in 60354: Mars Spacecraft Exploration Missions after 12 years , and now in trans-purple for the first time.
Shuni's Sunbird looks the most interesting, ticking all the boxes for play, build and display, while the lab looks a bit incomplete and the throne will probably just feel expensive for what it is.
So I love the Wakanda-based sets from the Infinity War series - the builds were cool and mimicked the sort of architecture and tech of Wakanda, and you got some fantastic minifigures. Sadly I missed out on the Black Panther sets but those were some great looking minifigures. Unfortunately, these sets seem to be more inspired by a wacky Ninjago reject line than the sleek and geometric Wakanda technological aesthetic. The minifigures feel lackluster at best, nothing about their designs leaps out as must-haves for a collector save the inevitable Marvel FOMO that the series has weaponized to the nth degree.
Also I'm not sure how I feel about Shuri as the Black Panther, now that these sets have all but explicitly confirmed this plot point. Now before someone comes and inevitably assumes I am a horrible person for XYZ reason (as is the time-honored internet tradition), I think Shuri worked well as a side character whose levity and comedic timing helped balance out the grave and serious tone of T'Challa. I think T'Challa carried that somber nobility as king of Wakanda and the Black Panther well, and Shuri helped give scenes some time to decompress and emphasize how T'Challa values his family. I really don't think Shuri has been set up well to take on the mantle at all, and I am aware that this story shift is easily due to Chadwick Boseman's passing, but I really don't think this movie is going to be the slam-dunk that Marvel desperately needs right now. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

I'm with you to a certain degree, at least for the Phase 4 lineup. The storytelling and writing have taken a sharp decline and people are getting weary of it. Course there are also people who seem more interested in defending [INSERT FAVORITE FRANCHISE] than holding it to a proper standard, but hey, that's the internet for you.
I'll pop for the Shuri's Lab set and look for the Ironhart figure separately. Sets seem a bit bland/without context but without the movie being out to reference them we are a bit in the dark.
Thankfully I think I can pass on most of these. I like the Sunbird set, but with 4 figures you know it is going to be $40-50 and the size does not bode well for that price range. So I may have to pass on that even. I have not watched the trailer yet, so maybe I'll change my mind.
The sets look good if a little underwhelming in scope or size.
I neither know nor care what a Sunbird is, probably won't buy it, but thanks for the spaceship idea
I have trouble understanding why it’s so hard for Lego to get hair/facial hair right on Marvel sets. Granted that some of these details may change in post production, but it’s difficult to believe Marvel would wait until then to decide Nakia would have long hair, or Namor a mustache and a beard. Looking at these minifigures made me think of the infamous Happy Hogan of 76130, who looks more like James Bond than like Jon Favreau.

Reports are that they're changing the origin of Namor in the MCU, so no, it may not be Lego Atlantis. Possibly so it's not a direct clone of Aquaman (though, yes, I know Namor precedes Aquaman by a few years in comic history...the film version is obviously coming after)
I love these, and will probably get them once the 20% off kicks in. I collect all the Wakanda vehicles, and these are the best since 76047 in my opinion. It's also crazy how we still don't have an M'Baku figure. He's in the final battle of three billion+ dollar grossing films and his attire is consistent across all appearances, but I'm sure he'll get one eventually.
Utterly mediocre.
@Afo_Xwbagot:
Try the latest Jurassic World sets, where the pilot’s curly hair has been replaced with Alsatia’s plastic “lifesize paper doll” wig from Toys.
@DabbingVidiyoRobot:
Easier to avoid the awkwardness of explaining why you didn’t use his original comic book name. Or the even greater awkwardness of explaining why you _did_. Seriously, though, he was probably the coolest part of a fair movie, and given some of the characters they’ve produced, it’s odd he’s not one of them.

Superheroes in their current form have been in the popular consciousness since the 1930s.
(ancient superheroes, stories about Perseus and Heracles and so forth? They've been around for thousands of years)
Friendly tip? You might want to get used to them, they're not going anywhere.

I tend to agree with this, though. Everything before built up in a solid line towards Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Every movie was a step towards that end game (pun not intended). Leaving aside the fact that "Endgame" as a story is like an anchor, dragging us down, ever since it was released ... these movies are all over the place. I feel like -- particularly with the multiverse stuff -- the MCU is starting to run off the rails, a little bit.
It doesn't seem like they're building towards anything, at the moment, and instead, are doing the exact opposite and throwing in random mentions of anything (fan-service is one thing, sure, but at least do it well, and they're not even managing that very well).
It's not unsalvagable, but I do worry that we're just starting to see the pebbles that occur before an avalanche, at the moment.
More black minifigures!

It takes ten years to carefully build one universe, but one or two to slap together an infinite number of universes apparently?
[insert STONKS meme]
We truly do live in a society.
These look cool but, they could have been better (looking at Narmor).
That Lab looks like one of the worst sets I have ever seen. Even worse than Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader 75334.
“Its an earthquake under the ocean, we handle it by not handling it”
Marvel isn't really my thing, but the Sunbird looks like a pretty neat little build. Unfortunately as a licensed set it'll probably be priced the same as the similarly sized 75338 - Which is to say about £30 too much!
So basically these sets already spoil who the new Black Panther is.

Dont care a single bit for the movie, but the maw thrones cool

I think these are just supposed to be atlantean guards, not Attuma... they seem to be keeping Attuma's appearance in the movie a bit quiet.
Namor's Throne set is easily the best set in this wave. Look at that leg printing!! That is some CMF level detailing!!
