Even more excited for this now roll on February!
I love the blue space guy with the broken helmet. I have quite a lot of helmets from the old days broken in the same way!
This movies has grown a lot on me. It actually looks pretty funny.
I so can't wait for the movie! That trailer looks HILARIOUS! What do you think is the best line in the trailer?
Wow, Will Ferrell is the bad guy... this should be interesting.
The details in this are amazing.
I love that you can rewatch this trailer and pick up lots of new details. I love how many actual lego city vehicles feature in the movie including the old yellow post truck the green garbage truck and not least the main guys little white car.
So looking forward to THE movie! "Aloha looosers!"
Did anybody else notice that the highway sign points to Heartlake city?
I love how there are so many small and fun details to notice, you really have to go frame by frame to catch them all.
Oh my gosh, can I GET any more EXCITED about this movie!?!?!
Such an epic trailer... love all the details and funny lines. xD
Can't wait for February 2014.
Favourite detail: One of the female minifigs in the coffee shop has a FABULAND sweater. Brilliant.
I particularly liked the classic space guy's scratched torso. The attention to detail is indeed impressive particularly, as seems to be the case, it is standing up to scrutiny by us AFOLs.
Double decker couch! ;)
I watched this trailer like 5 times in a row and kept picking up new details. Everything about it is amazing! The best part would be him buying the coffee. I really cannot wait for this movie to be released! Hurry up 2014!!!
This movie is going to be a big hit! What's better then for a little kid ( or AFOL ) to be able to watch a movie and then buy the exact toy. I want the 2014 lineup details so bad!!!
Kind of funny, much better than the teaser.
And it's attention to detail that really changes a good animated movie into a great one. See also: Wallace & Gromit.
It looks hilarious. The kids will love it for the LEGO, all us AFOLs will love it for the inside jokes.
Favorite part from this preview is the good cop/bad cop routine, and the blowing up of the invisible jet. XD
If we don't get a Lincoln mini figure I will be very sad.
Excuse me, but does Emmitt actually have a brick GLUED to his back! And I really hope they produce the uber-Batwing and/or uber-Batmobile as sets. They are awesome.
In a lot of ways this movie looks really, really dumb, but yet I'm really excited for it at the same time.
@randyf I believe Lord Business wants to glue all the parts together. I'm assuming it has something to do with that.
This looks so fantastic. I've watched this trailer so many times to pick up all the little details in the city and elsewhere. The CG graphics make the bricks look so realistic!
The stop animation is just amazing! I hope there will be a disc or something for behind the scenes.
Also 17 seconds, emmet is holding a coffee cup. New piece?
And also in some scenes, what is on Emmet's Back?
Batman is shaping up to be a major player here, I do hope to see Wayne Mannor in the movie or in another film.
The wit of this movie looks absolutely amazing. In the very first frame of actual LEGO you can spot the Pet Shop modular building on the left hand side, along with a billboard showing 3177 with text reading "one car...some variety." Absolutely brilliant!
I also noticed Paradisa is signposted in one shot, it is these touches which make this a winner in my book.
@ MrMonsieurGreen
There are a bunch of things in this movie like brickarms and brickforge looking stuff, things that a nice lot of people use in MOCs. I'm sure that this is just one of those things that someone has made and sold, and the design of the piece is being used in the movie. It may become one though due to the new pieces being made for the sets.
Two things I like the most ...
1. The explosions -- as various vehicles and weapons explode -- are all Lego bricks. The fireball and smoke cloud are built out of bricks. That must've taken ages.
2. Batman steals every scene he's in. Because he's Batman.
Wow. I expected this to be one one of those things I'd have to tolerate because my kid demanded it of me... Instead, this might be the first movie in decades I line up for on the day of release. I just hope the trailer isn't all the good parts spliced together. ;-)
Probably common knowledge but Series 12 has been revealed (hothbricks), the figures look amazing! :) I especially LOVE the Panda suit guy with a panda teddy bear. :D
>A guy called "Lord Business" is the enemy.
Here we go again.
Just to clear up this is cgi not stop-motion animation (the cgi is just really detailed) in one of the preview descriptions it says it's cgi.
February, better come quickly... This is an excellent looking movie! I love all the little details and humor put together to form a great movie!
The humor and references in this movie truly make it.
So excited for February! :D
So the streets seem to primarily use a 6x6 light bluish grey tile. Road baseplates are not used. Makes me wish for a road builder parts pack.
Sets I want are certainly:
The police hover vehicle that destroys the Batmobile and, lol, Invisible Jet.
MetalBeard
MetalBeard's very Steampunk but absolutely huge ship.
I hope that coffee shop will appear in the bottom corner of an upcoming modular.
The Batwing.
To add my 2 cents: I also think this looks brilliant. I did not expect so much detail and for renderings of actual LEGO pieces to be used almost exclusively. As a grown man with no kids, I'm seeing this, no question.
I'M FREAKING OUT!!! this is so awesome anybody else want to make batman's weapon in 1:41?
I love the fact the the coffee is so expensive because the only money they have are 100 dollar bills. XD
yah
Wow. This is going to be the best movie ever! I love the wit involved in it too. Brilliant!
@telcontar-I agree this looks like an incredibly dumb movie with uber cheesy one-liners but I still want to check it out none-the-less.
This looks way too realistic to be CGI... must be stop-motion assisted by CGI in certain scenes.
Looks good, though. :P
^ @Alemas, No, it is all CGI. But it is a type of CGI that is meant to look like real bricks and a bit like stop-motion. I'm sure they built most of the things you see in the film with real bricks before making it in the computer, but none of the final footage in the film will be stop-motion.

^But, the next month after those articles were written they put out this one

So, perhaps it's as they state part CGI and part stop motion.
On a different note, I like how, at least in the trailer, I am picking out lots of the past series collectible minifigures. Really looking forward to this movie. I'm going to be there the first weekend it opens.
