First images of March Creator range!
Posted by CapnRex101,
LEGO has published its first catalogue of 2023, unveiling various upcoming sets!
These include five Creator 3-in-1 sets, which will be available in March. Perhaps the most exciting is the charming 31139 Cosy House, although this whole selection looks good.
We hope to publish better images soon, but you can view the catalogue shots below...
31134 Space Shuttle and 31135 Vintage Motorcycle
31136 Exotic Parrot and 31140 Magical Unicorn
31137 Adorable Dogs
31139 Cosy House
No pricing information or piece counts are available at the moment, but will be shared once we know them.
Are you looking forward to these sets? Let us know in the comments.

Yikes! Adorable dogs mangled a sweet lil' bunny rabbit.
Atlantis and Rock Raiders references in the house, very nice. I can't tell if the other toys are too.
That parrot is a must buy! House looks good too.
The house looks great! Color scheme gave me friends vibe and the interior seems to be more detailed than usual, being a smaller creator building.
Space shuttle looks adorable but nothing mind blowing. I’m not a fan of motorcycles but this one is the best-looking creator one I’ve seen so far.
The parrot looks okay I guess. Something about the head shaping is off to me. The unicorn will be a nice colorful impulse buy. I can see it being a decent display model for those who are into that
That unicorn will be a must have for my daughter, for sure!
Once again, an excellent selection of sets, from the theme that continues to innovate and surprise.
Giant snail!
I really like the cosy house ... but what the heck is that creepy thing with the snake head pieces on the front lawn?
There is a 42154 Technic 2022 Ford GT in the catalog as well. Cool looking car!
They look good and quite bright.
I have to laugh, as mentioned I recently watched Jamie's video on the 15th anniversary of the modulars and he mentioned that Wes advocated for the use of Teal (which had disappeared for a while), even to the point where house in the bookshop modular has the number 107, the internal number Lego uses for Teal.
Looking at these sets, I think Wes may have got a promotion or moved to the creator line.
Frickin' FINALLY a new house. Honestly the fact that Lego doesn't do more of these does tend to get on my wick. They've long been absent from Town/City themes and it's just nice to have SOMETHING other than vehicles on the shelves.
The others I can take or leave, though will be happy to pick up on discount in order to swell the spare parts collection...

I HOPE it's one of the kid's toys, like the other things? But that's only as innocent an explanation as I can give. Alien brain parasite?
These terrible renders really do make good sets look sub-par.
I'm with @Huw on these. When I saw the Creator pages in the catalogue it had the largest amount of desirable sets for me.
The alternate models for the house look pretty good too.
Mini remote control 4940!
I'm still holding out for a large classic style fully enclosed house like they used to make, but I guess this will not be the year we see this
I like the house! Lots of playable stuff in it. I like the garbage can (kliko) in front of the house too.
That parrot is a bit stiff but i do like it
the house is just in my wishlist!
It's perfect for my city
Love the parrot. Looks like a Norwegian Blue.
Hope it's not pining for the fjords... ;-)
Those puppies!!! That's going to be a hard to find set for some time!!
Best wave in a while… which is saying something, because Creator is always great - especially recently. There's not a single set here that I don't love!
I much prefer the mini space shuttle orbiter I submitted to Ideas, and built. ;o) Still, might get 31134 anyway.

The Creator Cosy House contains former lego sets from various themes and eras in micro form:
From left to right:
Technic 42095 Remote-Controlled Stunt Racer from 2019
Atlantis 8061 Gateway of the Squid from 2010 (only the squid)
Rock Raiders 4940 The Granite Grinder from 1999
Castle 6038 Wolfpack Renegades from 1992
Although dogs are bit disappointing parrot and unicorn are awesome sets. I'm looking forward to build more alternative models for them.
I'm liking the sci-fi alt models on 31134, especially that Vic Viper. It looks very swooshable.
3-in-1 sets are getting a bit painful on the wallet... Once upon a time there was one good model and a couple of fillers. Now, more often than not, there are 3 excellent models crying out for multiple purchases!
The cozy house will look excellent in my LEGO city.
Vintage motorcycle is brilliant.
Love the house, but not sure about the snail on the roof!
Also love the blue macaw. Pretty sure the unicorn and puppies will be popular with kids.
Aaah, Granite Grinder! :D ...don't mind me, just forever riding the Rock Raiders nostalgia train, so that inclusion of a tiny 4940 is fantastic to me. ...too bad the drill isn't chrome like the original set, though xD
And those dogs, oh my goodness; they live up to the set name, adorable! Absolutely would like to get them at some point; I'm a dog-lover anyway, and they're so cute! :D
The house is gorgeous. Will definitely be getting it.
Outstanding. I really think creator is the most lego of all of lego's themes. The house is a day 1 purchase for sure, and the dogs, and ill probably end up with most of the range. Looks great!

there is another set behind the RC - it looks like a creator animal set.

Although it is small, the Cosy House is a normal suburban house and it can close up, and it is the first Creator set that fits that criteria since 31038 Changing Seasons in 2015 (and outside Creator I think there's only been Emmet and Lucy's house and the Home Alone mansion since 2015)
Excited for all of them, might even get a couple!

Gotta admit I wouldn't have recognized any of these.
One now wonders why it took LEGO sooooo long to craft a unicorn set…
Definitely be picking up a handful for various nieces!
I said it before and I'll say it again, Creator is what classic Lego is to me, and it's the best theme. Creative builds with mostly basic bricks, not all studs covered up, no license premium, encouragement to build your own creations. I love it, and these new sets continue to impress.
My goodness, what happened to the CGI quality of these product images?!
I like these sets, but they strike me as a bit too specialized and/or display focussed. I must admit I can't quite put my finger on it, but they look like they're less general purpose than before. The house looks great, but it looks like a regular set at this point. And the unicorn is straight up a statue complete with display stand. And the dogs... it would be a big set considering that includes three of them, but I'm not sure that's quite earned.
I will probably warm up to them when we get better images that aren't unpolished CG placed in a white void.
Even so, the parrot gives me the same vibes. It just looks more ideas-like than creator like to me...
Edit: I think I got it. Creator usually excelled in keeping models simple because of the alt builds. So things are made with more 'regular' parts unless specialized parts could be utilized in another way. And there's less clutter as they focus on one subject. But these are so detailed and advanced that it feels like many parts are knowingly included with the knowledge that they don't have to be re-used for the B and C models.
The six extra mini models in the house seem especially gratuitous. Two is to be expected, but this is almost a week from an advent calender. Those 1x1s seem to just be there to lower the ppp. I mean, look at the house's roof!
Sorry if I come off as overly critical, but I'm just concerned the prices will suffer from this. Sure the models will be nice, but creator is not just for adults. We have entire product lines for that you know.
Some mighty atrocious renders alright

This 100%, the house set uses a lot of just bricks, and plate building to get the shape across, and while it does have some tiny 1x1 for the roof, floor and flowers, it doesn't eat up the whole budget of the set, the set still has multiple layers of green, brown or blue plates for the grass/wood/water looks in the 3 builds and interior + exterior detail.
Hinged also allows more ways to both play and display.

There are people who see creator houses as a middle ground inbetween the somewhat simpler City houses (that often also got budget lost on vehicles in the sets), and then the big scale €200+ modular buildings.
I also think this Cosy House will look nicely next to the 41730 : Autumn's House of a very similar piece count and price.
But yes, there is a visible trend that 3-in-1 has gotten bigger sets at high prices, if we look at the current €120 pirate ship , €100 castle and €120 viking ship, but I don't think the lower end of the theme lost that much, the 31130 : Sunken Treasure Mission is still an excellent minifig €30 set from 2022 for example.
There are still multiple €10-15-20 sets in the range of various subjects within Creator, they might not have figures, but both City and Friends have a fairly big focus on €10-€30 sets this 2023 wave as well
I think there are more then just me that considers getting multiple 3-in-1 houses on discount to display or MOC with.
And while at market price it might not be the perfect PPP compared to a modular, and you end up with duplicate fig parts etc, I think there's definately a market consideration where if a 3-in-1 has 2-3 great models, that it can actually sell 2-3 times, especially to AFOLs.
Still I think the pricing on 3-in-1 is a lot better compared to a lot of themes, and that's with critical thinking, not staring at PPP 10 cent stuff.
And I personally also consider 3-in-1 sets as better parts packs compared to the Classic brick boxes that are often focusing on too many different types of bricks and colors, and too few of each type to actually build some larger houses etc from.
Maybe some 3-in-1 sets tend to get "too detailed" with the addition of many tiny bits and pieces, I can see some concern for future, but that can be said about many themes, where piece count is just not a good measure with how many 1x1 sized bits are in it.

I think that's not a micro lego set, to me it looks like a sitting brick built striped cat with a black nose with a white neck/collar.
Magical Unicorn will be flying off the shelves like hot buns.
The house does look cozy.
Great wave.
Fin.
The Cosy House is the only one that interests me. May pick up one or two others for parts if I find a good sale.
@Huw there are also pictures of at least 4 new classic sets in the catalog. There is a pastel color, neon color and two larger sets pictured.
The White Rabbit set has two awesome extra builds. A cockatoo and a baby seal.

Exactly, Neon, Pastel sets just limited to 6 colors.
And then there's a bigger brick set ( 11030 ) with just basic 1 and 2 wide bricks in 10 colors in equal amounts, LEGO bought back the bulk-basic brick pack, similar to this 2453 but 10 colors instead of 5, both have 1000 pieces and just basic bricks.

I want that set for the Rick Raider Drill, brings so much memories.
I love the nods Lego gives to the Vic Viper every so often!

The Creative Party Box looks like it might have some interesting parts ( 11029 ). I hadn't noticed that the other was just basic bricks. The Neon set is 11027 and the Pastel is 11028
That cost house looks just like the new friends house(I think it was Mia's daughter). This creator wave looks really respectable! They have a nice variety and color pallette. I'm curious to see what the new $100($120 now) set will be. We have the pirate ship, castle, and Viking Longship so far.
Oh sweet! Another Vic Viper! I’ll be adding that to my collection for sure.

Toys representing toys! That's perverse!
Not with the bright, shiny, red tiles that I plan to add liberally just under the neck and dead eyes of the sad little beast.
Adorable dogs are adorable! And smart move with those alternate builds, I can see people buy three sets just to build all of them. Parrot looks pretty good too, with nice alternate builds. Don't care much for the unicorn, though I guess it's a nice parts pack.
The house looks fine, and I like that it can be closed up. Good alternate builds too. But my favorite of the bunch might just be that motorcycle, even when the alternate builds seem pretty lackluster.
I don't know what happened this last year, but it feels like a Renaissance in the Creator theme. Practically everything they've put out lately has been brilliantly designed!

The alternate build (i.e. 3 in 1) for Adorable Dogs are other types of dogs. In the end, you get designs for 7 different dogs (only 2 or 3 can be built at the same time).
Looks like you can open the cargo bay of that very small shuttle; impressive!

I can so picture the LEGO store employee telling me how he wanted to be a lumberjack instead ;-)
(Granted, that joke only makes sense if you have seen the "And now for something completely different" version of that sketch)

Opportunity missed... One of the alternate builds should have been a nice fresh cuttlefish!

Or a crunchy frog?
I’m thinking that creator house could go well in a “mini modular” setup as Jangbricks showed in one of his videos, with the Monkie kid side builds (panda convenience store and monkey mech side build), along with the current creator noodle shop set.

That would be the giant squid from LEGO Atlantis, specifically from the set Gateway Of The Squid.

Is it a lawn sprinkler?... baffling.
In the alternative views, it is either omitted or is standing balanced on the snake heads.
