Not too fussed about these ones, but I must have Baby Rocket…
rocket ship is meh but I like the other two, I like groots new head!
Both ships look fantastic.
Baby Rocket cuz I guess Baby Groot stuff finally stopped selling?
These are three absolutely great LEGO sets.
I can't wait for baby Drax!
That $10 headquarters will make a decent parts pack.
Also, that's a slight variation on Advent Calendar Groot. Same body, slightly different face print, new shoulderpads.
The new ship is named the Bowie.
I will wait until after I see the movie to make up my mind, but I am surprisingly impressed. Good looking models, reasonable prices, and unlike some themes, you only have to buy 3 sets to get the whole group.
With colours like that, it's more like the new Friends' Ship. These actually look pretty good sets, regardless of the movie.
Really digging the Headquarters set… great value for $10…!
Owen Grady doubling as a Star Lord again ;-)
(Yeah, I know the reason, but it never gets boring to me, for some reason I find it so much crazy.)
I had to read it twice:
"...Headquarters...67 pieces..."
God, I’ve never really liked marvel much, I’ve picked up the occasional set as a pets pack but holy crap is the rocket ship beautifully done! Looks like it could fit into any sci-fi setting without too much modification. No stickers, no printed elements. It’s perfect. It’s just a really cool generic spaceship, and now a day 1 buy.
The yellow ship's cute, but that third one looks nowhere near $100 worth of "stuff", to put it in Jang-terms.
I NEED that baby Rocket Racoon
Where's Gamora?
Side note: Donut ship is kinda awesome.
I like the Headquarters set. Hope they make a new Milano some day, with all the original Guardians.
Good to see teal in more and more sets.
So... Is Baby Rocket, Rocket as a baby (why?) or Rocket's baby (how?)?
I'm having trouble seeing 1108 pieces in that new Ship.

In the same place that Black Widow is, except a different timeline.

Probably a fair question since Gamora-2 is in charge of the Ravagers in this movie. I was hoping we'd get a Kraglyn in here too, and maybe Cosmo.
I guess with minifigures of Warlock, Gamora, and Drax, we're just a Pip the Troll and Moondragon shy of an Infinity Watch.
With this new hairpiece for Adam Warlock, I can finally make Ozymandias from Watchmen!

the ol' "Volume of Stuff" scientific metric, lol!

Why is Gamora?
Baby Rocket's ship just looks goofy and fun (also a bit reminiscent of the AT-Hauler...).
This looks like a junior range.
Leave it to Quill to call a glorified storage closet his “headquarters”.
@560heliport:
Considering Rocket is a genetic experiment, I would guess Baby Rocket is a clone, or another experiment who has no direct relation to original Rocket.
@Brickbuilder0937:
Original Gamora’s corpse is still at the bottom of the cliff. Alternate Gamora got brought forward from the past, having never started developing feelings for Quill, and presumably is still kicking around in the present. I haven’t been watching any trailers, but I’m getting the idea she might not be a member of the Guardians anymore.

Probably still laying about on Vormir."
WHY IS GAMORA!?
Impressive headquarters those Guardians have assembled there, with its 67 pieces... :)
Was hoping we'd get a High Evolutionary minifigure, we did get Ronan in a GOTG set and an Ayesha in a GOTG2 set so they had previous for giving us the main villain in each wave. Guess he's too obscure a character and they wanted to give us Adam instead.
The Groot in that box art looks like he's trying to rizz me up...
Not sure how I feel about these. The Guardians Headquarters is a cute impulse purchase, but I'm having trouble seeing how the Guardians ship is 1108 pieces and Baby Rocket's ship is nothing special (except for the Baby Rocket). I'll check out the film before I consider picking these up.
Regardless, Adam Warlock might be one of my picks for favourite minifigure of the year thus far.
Friends animal molds are great, more of them printed without the Friends faces please, the baby racoon looks perfect.

Baby Groot and Baby Yoda were really helpful for Disney’s shareholders.
Hell, just make all of them babies at this point. Worked for MUPPET BABIES.
Other than the colour scheme, the new Guardians' Ship gives me some "The Orville" vibes. Needs a third of those rings though.
What color do we think the windscreen is on Rocket's yellow ship? (And I'm assuming the ship is yellow and not bright light orange, it can be tough to interpret colors sometimes on my computer monitor.)
I need that baby Rocket!
Love the big ship, but man the HQ really drives home how bad inflation and/or Lego's price structure is. $10 for two figs and a small wall? If you'd told me it was originally meant to be a $5 polybag, I'd believe you.
April 1 sets… hopefully that means photos of the the Indy wave will be officially released soon.

Yeah. I'm puzzled why they didn't call the set that. Instead they went with what might be the dumbest name for a Lego set that I've ever seen, "The Guardians' New Ship." Weird decision.
This wave looks pretty good! I may pick up the HQ for the figures and quad blasters. As for the rest, I'll have to skip. There are too many other sets and themes competing for my attention right now. They really should have given Star-Lord the superman hair that was in the Benatar. It looks so much better.
No High Evolutionary, kind of a bummer, otherwise this is a shockingly good wave, although doesn't give me hope we're getting more than the one Ant-Man set
What's the name of the new ship? Thigh Master?
And is it just me or is the box art... off?
76255 The New Guardians' Ship looks amazing.

I would say trans dark green. The ship itself looks to be a mixture of bright light orange and orange.

I don't think they named the other one in 76107 either since the set is named Thanos : Ultimate Battle or in 76193. They did name the Milano though 76021...
I'm feeling better about getting 76231 and 71031-12 now to get my Guardians. These just don't seem that exciting to me, and that's a good thing since there are already too many nice sets this year.
I absolutely love the new Guardians' Ship design.
Not all that inspiring, 76253 looks like a cheap way to get a Groot and one of the new uniforms (that seems to be the same for all of them), other than that nothing really stands out.
glad they are keeping that style of stand for the big ship so it would fit alongside the Quinjet and Benitar. Still think the Milano was their best ship though and not particularly sold on the design of this new one.
Love that we're getting a $10 set that isn't 4+ or a mech
I also appreciate that the ship has a consistent stand with the previous Guardians' ship. However, this is a major missed opportunity (and likely last for a while?) to finally give Mantis a fitting head print. The reused print they've been using just feels off.
@SillyTwig:
Using a coin flip to rate the nutritional value of a meal would be more scientific and objective. At least you can prove the outcome of the coin flip. “Volume of Stuff” is worth slightly less than the points on “Whose Line Is It Anyways?” Did you stub your toe? Did your puppy tinkle on the carpet? Did you get diagnosed with genital warts? Is it Monday? Have no fear, Volume of Stuff is here! Now you can post a negative review, and nobody can prove you wrong.
They Need to Make The Guardians Ship Bigger
"headquarter" thats a wall and a table!
Pretty nice looking wave! I’m disappointed by the absence of Gamora and the High Evolutionary though.

And i like the sets as well
Why is there no longer a minifigure Star-Lord helmet anymore?
Good ships to populate a LEGO Star Wars diaroma.

Seconded
The so called 'headquarters' is a bit underwhelming. Are we being trolled? Did I miss the last 6 weeks and it is suddenly April 1st?
Oh HECK yes. Nothing wrong with the blocky and grey Star Wars ship designs, but the bold silhouette and colors of the New Guardian Ship deeply resonates with me, artistically speaking. Instabuy for design alone!
For some reason, my brain is having tremendous difficulty judging the size of that new ship, even with minifigs present for scale. Might be something to do with it appearing to show two minifigs sat side-by-side behind a 4-wide windscreen..?

Okay, good to know, thanks. That was my first inclination, but I wasn't sure because trans-dark green isn't that easy to see through in real life. I'd be happy with that, but I'm always looking for new trans-dark green windscreens because I'm old enough to remember 1970's space. For the box render, though, I can see Lego artificially lightening it because for most people, the interior of the cockpit and Rocket in particular will be a much bigger selling point.
I'm still not completely convinced that it's not trans-bright green (which I'd also be good with). The one-by-one round plates are looking more trans-green to me also. But I'm admittedly still having trouble getting a good read on it on my screen, to the point that I'd briefly wondering if it was a new color, despite that seeming extremely unlikely to me, especially since nobody's talking about it. I'd also worried that it was actually trans-light blue (which would be way less exciting for me) because I've been tricked in the past by both box covers and Flickr photos where the windscreen is trans-light blue but appears greenish because there's some sort of yellow-type part behind it. But I don't think that's happening here, despite the color of the ship, we're mostly seeing dark gray through the windscreen and around the round plates.
I went and watched the trailer to see if that helped, but the ship doesn't appear in the one I saw. (By comparison, I've never played Overwatch, but when I looked up an image of the pink mech, it was immediately obvious why Lego chose trans-dark green for the windscreen on that one.)
No Lylla? Seriously?

The "Volume of Stuff" metric isn't meant to be objective. It's just a way of expressing how one feels about paying a certain amount of money for a set. There wouldn't be a way to prove it wrong because it's entirely subjective and will vary from person to person.
As for the sets: The blue ship looks amazing! really like the unique shape and colour scheme. And I say this as someone who has zero interest in superheroes.

Disneyfication:
Slave I: Boba Fett’s Starship
Bowie: The Guardians' New Ship
A few notes on these:
76253 Does it glow if you light it with black light? A ok part pack and cheap way to get those 2 minifigs.
76254 You need to rotate 3 or 4 parts (jet engine/rockets) every time you 'land' this ship - gets old very fast. Otherwise nice ship and the little racoon is most likely usable in a Lego city setup rummaging through the garbage. The cockpit part is nice and will be useful for those liking ship like 1968, 6891, 6952, 1580, 6940 or alternatively: Space Police II 6897, 6957, 6984.
76255 This is not even mini Lego statue scale. As much as 76210 is way too big, this one is way to small - I suppose it would have been the time to create a $250 set to be a bit more fateful to the design. (Obviously I do not have Lego sales figure for Guardians of the Galaxy Lego sets so maybe they did it that size for a very good reason).
I guess the upcoming reviews will highlight the flaws and the goodies but overall a nice little series.
I might go for 76254 but funnily enough they only show one angle - what does it look like from the side or from behind?
Those renders hurt my eyes…
Baby Rocket is adorable, but that friends style mould is a little out of place. I really wish they'd used the reset of Friends this year to help merge the animal moulds from System and Friends.
I understand the legacy of the more squared-off chamfered look to system animals, but the exceptional system kitten mould proves that there's a happy medium where you can respect the legacy of system animals while making small cute animals a bit more round.
We really don't need two sets of moulds. Cute animals are cute. Less cute animals are less cute. Friends can keep the silly printing with the crazy eyelashes, but the moulds should be shared, ideally.
FRIENDS ANIMAL IN NON FRIENDS SET?
What is this heresy? Not a fan.
Hoping the guardians ship has more than 2 seats inside, because that's all I see in the photos. The previous ones have always had plenty of room.

Booo, that’s not the next line! ThatBionicleGuy caught it, he wins :D
That Guardians HQ is awesome. So many details, wow. I’m surprised it’s so big! The mining selection is poor though, for such a substantial set. ;-)
The ship feels like LEGO Movie 2.5 design and I love it! Remember the Party Bus?
both ships are amazing but all jokes aside, where, I mean why is Gamora?
Ill do YOU one better: how is gamora?
The HQ looks rather simple, almost like 4+ set. Still, doesn't seem too bad for the price.
I think the price is a bigger issue with Baby Rocket's Ship. It looks cool, no complaints about that, just doesn't look like €35 worth of stuff.
And I kinda feel the same about The New Guardians' Ship. It looks amazing, like nothing else Lego ever did. And its overall size seems decent. But in the end, it is a lot of open space, the actual thing is not that big. But I like it nonetheless, such a great design!
One thing on Baby Rocket's Ship and the HQ: Is it just me or are the greys and black rendered with a hint of a metallic sheen? I've noticed that with several sets in the last couple of months, it looks way better than the actual plastic. And that's dangerously close to false advertising.
HQ isn't much of anything as a build, but for adult buyers that doesn't matter of course: 2 desirable figs with licensed IP for $10 is a perfectly good deal, and about 50-60 parts, most of them good for MOCs, is a nice bonus.
The headquarters reminds me of those small combining Star Wars sets from way back when
Multiple LEGO ideas Stargate projects hit 10000, now the people finally get their Stargate , but it collided with some pink and teal ship.
(This is meant as a joke, not as a snide comment at the IDEAS folks)
I don't often look at Marvel sets, I always felt your usual marvel set comes off as subpar compared to the rest of Lego's work. But this is one of those felts like I want entire Marvel wave. The HQ is cute and simple, I love that Baby Rocket and the ship is nicely design, oh and that last ship is so unique too, I love it.

I would fully agree with this (i.e. Marvel set are subpar Lego sets) but somehow I think most 'Guardians of the Galaxy' sets have been (maybe not significantly) but a lot better than most Marvel sets (of course there is room for exceptions! - there is always someone to point the exception). Maybe the designers don't have much time to produce something or worse, they don't have a clear picture of what they should produce or both.
The Bowie needs a better canopy piece, but over all this is a solid wave. Nice to see some affordable sets.
These new Mario Movie sets look weird.
Honestly, I'm speechless with the sets announced in the past week. 8 new sets had to be added to my wanted list including both disney sets, all 3 guardians sets and the giant ant man! with all these, I'm set for the year!

Yes, agree completely. There was a time for extremely "cute" animals in Friends, but I think reconciliation of molds is warranted.
I hope there is a 4th set with some animal men and High Evolutionary
The headquarters set has gotta be the smallest set with “headquarters” in the name. Really cool wave overall though!
I'll pass this time... Only the minifigs would interest me.
When is Gamora?
(a reasonable question given the events of Endgame...)
What ever happened to villains and their army-building armies being included in sets. Even in Star Wars sets recently we haven’t had any stormtroopers.
Ha, ha, ha. Who was it complaining about teal in sets?
I didn't know they were making a Friends version of GOG? It is cool looking. But, it totally needs a couple sloths!
Hopefully these sets sell better than the Black Panther sets. Although I'm sure not looking like a clothing iron helps...
The design of this 1108 parts set (mostly pins, I guess...) seems like a bad joke to me.
Kinda surprised (and just a little disappointed) they didn't jump on the chance to make minifigure versions of the ~extremely~ Classic Space-esque primary-coloured spacesuits the Guardians wear in the trailer!
Rocket’s thing just looks like a bright orange spinner from Blade Runner.
But that new Guardian’s ship looks fantastic! It looks like something Adrian Florea or Nnenn would’ve built back in the day.
That’s a must have!
I wish it were at the same scale as the Benatar but both of those ships do look great. Also, I'm a big fan of the Annihilation era Guardians so it's great to see those new uniforms.
Wait a minute they're doing a baby version of Rocket now? Are they that stretched for ideas?
While the new ship is nowhere near as compelling and swooshable as the Milano or Benetar, it's still interesting. Although the color scheme has me thinking of the Lego Movie 2. The Baby Rocket set is a must have.
Nice minifigures, the ships not so much.
I **really** want to punch Adam Warlock.
The new Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy sets are cool way better than the Wakanda forever wave of sets.

It took me a while to even realize the small ship docks on the cheek of the large one, but it does appear to have two identical pods. And they never show both detached at the same time, but they do appear to show that both do undock. There's one inset panel with the port pod ejecting, and there are two different views that show the port pod docked with a second pod detached.

Ah, my mistake. What I took to be the head of a second minifig (next to Nebula, on the box art) is actually a forward-facing stud on the wall beside the canopy. The canopy is only 4-wide, so there can't be a lot of room inside. I get it now - that's a fairly small ship (the main body, at least) for four minifigs. The box art suggests one or two have to slum it in the lower hold.

Good eye. The renders for Lego are getting a bit squirrelly. I've seen some recently (Wall-e) that look like prints when they're apparently described officially as stickers. Hopefully, this is the inverse.
