Minecraft BrickHeadz revealed!
Posted by TheBrickPal,
New Minecraft BrickHeadz sets have been revealed on LEGO.com, joining 41612 Steve & Creeper from 2018! They are listed online in multiple countries, though are inexplicably not appearing worldwide just yet.
40624 Alex, 40625 Llama and 40626 Zombie contain 86, 100, and 81 pieces respectively, and are expected to retail for £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99, as usual. The Llama also happens to be the 200th numbered BrickHeadz, with a gold label on the box to celebrate the milestone!
There is no release date for these sets, but April seems like a safe bet. You can view all three in the database.

The accurate depiction, I guess.
Llama is cute, not even considering the Minecraft connection. Others sure are Brickheadz alright.
Really sad they went for a sticker with Alex. Otherwise, a very nice depiction.
As ugly as always... The only good BrickHeadz is the one used for parts ;-)
so I guess lego is going for 100 brickheads in one year.
It’s a very rare moment when the inclusion of round Brickheadz eyes actually increases the resolution of a design. In this case the source material is even blockier.
The zombie is now the Hulk.
I think they look way too human. The ears and little hands are off, neither of those should have been in there. They've made some Minecraft buildable figuers some time ago, those were more appropriete. The llama, on the other hand, is perfect.
This is a harder sell with the original set (including the most iconic characters) being unavailable for so long, and being rather expensive on the secondary market. So it is pricey to have a complete collection without already having that original set.
If you want to do a Brickheadz character, at least do it well.

It will be a 1x4 brick above a plate, not a sticker. Brickheadz are almost always prints

Not the first time they do, at least this year’s look slightly better designed than the 2018 releases.

I don't see any stickers.
On topic: I will likely get the llama.

Oddly enough the source material looks more like Lego than the Lego product.
If any characters were suitable for the Brickheadz treatment, you'd have thought it would be Minecraft. But I'm going to side with @Huw on this and say the lack of distinctive hair makes these quite dull - they've even had to add details to make them more interesting.
The llama looks great, though.
I suspect there’s roughly a 100% chance my Minecraft-obsessed kid is going to want that llama.
They look nice. I think the zombie images would look better if they had his arms facing forward rather than by his side. However, that’s an easy enough modification for fans to make
I love that the automatic reaction to nearly every set now is to complain about stickers even when they don't have stickers.
This is so meta!
The eyes are too far apart, but can replace tile underneath with jumpers. More annoyingly they should have made the llama's body one brick higher (head smaller) to extend the rug and scarf more as shown on the side of the box.
Anyone close to having the full Brickheadz collection?
I'm currently at 0, not planning to change that but I'm just curious. I imagine that it is quite impressive having all of them together, regardless of whether some models are not as good as others.
The only theme where BrickHeadz make sense imho.

I have 7, got them lined up along the edge of my desk (and then take one in to work each day to sit on work desk)
They are decent next to each other though hindered by their width (Especially the Balrog) they are too wide of their stands to be plased flush next to each other.
If that wasn't an issue I imagine a tiered stand of them would be easy to construct and look cool (each subsequent row a brick or 2 higher than the one in front of it) currently have my CMFs displayed like that and it works well.
These look accurate.

I am currently missing two, one of which was unreleased. (Okay, to be fair, I still have to pick up the brand new Disney ones, but other than those, I have them all except 2.) I think they're a lot more fun to collect than Funko Pops, which I see as their direct competitor. And a whole bunch of them together do make for a nice display imo.
My third nephew has asked for Brickheadz for his birthday in September, and he's a Minecraft fan. This is thus good timing for me! Shame they didn't bring back the square eye tiles from 41612. For that matter, It's a shame they didn't use them on both of the figures in 41612.
@LegoAndWhisky: That'd be a tough collection to complete, considering the first four two-packs were SDCC 2016 exclusives, as well as the limited availability of some of the others, such as the TLM2 Brickheadz. (Which I am still upset about. I wanted all of them, but especially that Benny!)
I really don't like the eyes

I don't have the SDCC exclusives, and I skipped the footballers, but I think I have every other one. Edit: I missed Benny because he was a retailer exclusive and I figured I could make him with the sticker from Go Brick Me if it bothered me. Brickset says that's 116 sets, though many of those are multipacks. I also make my own, like X-Men, Ninja Turtles, stuff like that. My Lego table is a disaster so I haven't built a new one in years, though.
I can't speak to how they all look together because they're all over the place. I have about 50 on shelves, about 100 in two small totes, and the others are here and there.

Apparently I own 83% of all BrickHeadz sets. Probably half of those are still MISB though so Ive never seen them all lined up!
Oooooof, the eyes and ears... I love Minecraft but I feel like this is a miss. Not a huge fan of the studs on top either. The big-figs from a couple years back were much better.
My son will love these. $10 for 40 minutes of relative silence. I'll take that x3.
The llama's nose would make a great snowman face. I will definetely buy these because I love Minecraft and I am a speedrunner. My fastest run is about 2 hours. Maybe I can get rid of the ears though because they just seem cursed. I feel like the studs on top are good because they show that it is Lego for non-Lego fans. I am going to have to bid on some 41612 on Ebay.
Alex is cool, Zombie is okay. Instead of having a third one with the Llama should've had a dog paired with alex.
Honestly, the Alex one, while accurate, seems off when you look at the hair. I don't know, but what I do know is that I'm definitely getting the llama.
Don't care much for Minecraft, but I want the Llama!
COMING SOON: LEGO Minecraft Warden Brickheadz. Perfect for when you turn off the lights in your room before you go to bed and hear the shrill screams of a sculk shrieker in the dark. Better keep an eye on where you put that particular Brickheadz before it's too late ...
Sssshhhh ...
Also in the Llama camp, definitely getting that one!

Did they? I can see exactly what made you think it's a sticker, and they may have even used one for this part. But if that really is a sticker, it's _RIGHT_ up against all four edges of the part, which is a sticker no-no.
Still can't find a reason brickheadz haven't gotten retired.
Love 'em, but I cannot for the life of me fathom why Llama was chosen as 200 and not Alex. Where is the logic there?

Trying to so seeing logic in madness results in you pulling your hair out. You might as well look for the last digit of pi, count grains of sand on a beach, or even try to find meaning in "To infinity and Beyond".
Basically, there is no logic.
I Just Don't Like How They Did The Zombies Head
