Must. Have. That killer whale!
60376 is brilliant!
60365 really just saw the triangle pattern on 41732 and said "I can do that too". Actually 60380 has pretty similar vibes too. Friends continues to be "city but better"
Jokes aside though, strongest wave from city in a long time IMO. But the friends wave that hasnt been posted yet is stronger still.
Unbelievable prices on the larger sets.
I’ll take them all, well done LEGO!! This is what we want (in the city), thumbs up!
Awesome looking sets. Can’t wait
Ah, these are lovely. It is so nice to see more 'normal' sets and not be bogged down with emergency services buildings. Refreshing.
So I guess the new road plates are still alive.
Lots to love here, especially the Family House, City Centre and Apartment Building (complete with mobility scooter). The animals for each of the undersea sets also look great, but the prices for a lot of these (particularly the Apartment Building and Research Sub) are awful. Might pick a couple of the smaller sets up.
Also, that minifigure in the car wash looks just like HollyOnFilm... or is that just me?
This is by far one of the best city waves ive ever seen. so much variety, lots of city buildings, which is good to see. Lots of cool and unique vehicles as well, that large submarine has caught my eye. The prices..... they're LEGO City prices. what more can be said?
Hope to see ninjago revealed soon, Its going to be an amazing wave.
That big Bruce the Shark in the Submarine set!! Wow!!
Think that’s a new piece on the scooter in 60380?
I saw it in one of the Friends set too, the bus. It’s like a 3 way clip with an elongated arm.
Excellent City wave.
love the buildings, not their prices.
When City got better than the modular buildings. Just wow.
Last thing I need is another snowmobile, but mummy and baby seal are irresistible.
I love the new artic ship

Orca, great white, seals, adult sea turtles, and polar bear costume!!! Oh, my! These are nice! The City Centre looks kind of like a gerbil home for humans, but I like it. It looks like it might fit in my Ninjago/Monkie Kid/funtopian anime city.
City is FINALLY doing architecturally interesting things with blue glass!!

I thought the same - with the remains of Orca the boat!
Really digging this wave. I want all those damn Arctic sets, damit
4-wide cars are back, stay mad haters.
60380 looks only a few pieces away from being a desolate cyberpunk setting.
I may actually get that to convert it.
But so many animals! I just hope the snow mobile doesn't end up as an exclusive like the otter battle pack.
MAyb a pit pricey but looks like an excellent wave of sets. First time I've thought I want all the City sets in a wave. Even that 4+ demolition site looks good.
I also really like that mobility scooter in the apartment building.
There is one more arctic set, a snowgroomer and mobile research lab with polar bear mommy with cubs.
60398 family house is giving me massive nostalgia to childhood sets like 6349
Fantastic big ship from Arctic, and a lot of new animals! That city center set looks magnificent! That 60389 is looking like a classic town set, very nice! I was hoping to not buy any city sets this year, but dang, it will be hard to resist...
Great new ideas but in terms of city sets, again like the main street in creator, pricey for just doors, windows and a few bricks...
All righty! At last someone at LEGO must have given a heads-up to their creative department to finally dish out a batch of nice City sets!
Lately I was depending more and more on the Bricklink Designer Programs to get decent sets. This wave is very interesting: new animals, modern-looking (Seattle-ish and Miami-ish) cityscapes largely borrowed from the Friends theme though, but it's good, great Arctic sets... Way to go.
Why not show USD?
City sets are really good nowadays, much better than 2-3 years ago.
This is the best City wave in a very long time. Not a police or fire set in sight, an actual *house*, and some interesting architecture. Plus, a fresh Arctic series with some really nice designs.
Well done, LEGO. Well done.
Killer whale!
I'd love to see the workplace health and safety on that double-storey skate park...
Killer whale!
City, currently, has a really interesting and unique architectural style. I'm not sure I understand it, but I like what they're doing.
Killer whale!
Arctic wasn't something I expected to see, but some of those are must-haves, just for the animals.
And did I mention the killer whale?
The Year of Orange is upon us!
That orca looks awesome. Even though I have no room for a boat, I may have to get that.
Always been a fan of the City Arctic sets, these new ones look amazing! Really love the new animals in particular, and the ocean-focused direction. Fantastic to see so many detailed civilian buildings as well. Best City wave in years I reckon!

That was my first thought too. When did Lego get the rights to "Jaws"?!

We do not have confirmed prices outside the Eurozone yet. Hopefully these sets will appear on LEGO.com later, so we can add UK and US prices.
Neat ideas for the sets, unfortunately most of the sets are ugly and plain.
Liking the artic ship and the family house, the rest are a very easy pass, uninspiring.
Wow, amazing City & Arctic sets! - with the exception of the Demolition set, which is clearly for 4+ years, so it gets a pass mark!
Best city wave ever, I think!
I love the Orca & Great White!
I don’t love the prices on some of those larger sets though.
I will say it again. Im glad Lego is FINALLY noticing that KIDS LIKE ANIMALS.
Interesting, quite the varied bunch of sets.
Look what happens when there are no police about. Motorcyclists taking over the skate park and winter sports park, ruining the fun for everyone else.
Family House looks like it could be a bit of a call back to 6374-1
60380 City Centre set is almost a Ninjago City of LEGO City sets! Looks incredible, and for once bricks aren't wasted on vehicles. Price is scary though. Might bite if there's a significant discount, but those seem fewer and far between these days.
60398 Family House is delightful. A little surprised to see City have something so similar in concept to 31139 on the market at the same time.
Overall, a very impressive wave. At long last City is covering building themes that Friends has been doing better for too long now.
Love the modern style and colors. Arctic and underwater exploration are some of my favorite themes. Where do I even begin. This will cost me a lot of money, ouch. Nice to see another cheap set with a small vehicle and some cute animals thought, it's a winning formula.
Seals ! For 10€ !
These sets look cool, the ice parlour would be perfect for my daughter
Out of this list I am interested in the apartment building, house and city centre (although whether I can afford any of it is another matter, maybe the mid-year toy sales at the retailers in Australia might deliver some of the new sets at a discount)
Did anyone else notice that the amount of minifigs per set has gone up? That's great for a fig collector such as myself.
These are all great. Some very impressive. I wish I had lots of money to buy ‘em all. But I also wish I had more interest in the City theme to buy ‘em all.
I'm conflicted with the orca, love the shape and color but the eye reminds me a little bit of the style they use for buildable animals in the 3 in 1 theme, somewhat departing from what they've done in the past with other animals in City sets.
I'm a little disappointed in the architecture style chosen for both the apartments and urban center. They look too futuristic/modern to me and clash too much with my existing city. So I'll be passing on those. That car wash and ski lodge are fantastic, but I don't have any need for either. (The car wash is tempting though.)
Best of the bunch is that house in my opinion.
Most of these are really well done.
Will probably get the Arctic sets. I never got around to getting the ship in the last wave.
Not over keen on the Demolition Site, which looks a bit Duplo to me. Also a little ironic to need a demolition team in a town where most of the buildings don't even have their backs finished!

Those aren't motorcycles.
Honestly I'm very underwhelmed, although I love the Family House, it's likely the only one I will buy
60377 4 gorgeous animals for under $50... Wake me up from these DREAMZzz!
I wish the family house had a color scheme that was less bland. These sets come close but seem to be lacking something. Cohesion, focus, maybe a transcendence beyond half-finished boxes of transparent glass pieces. The prices here and across the whole product line are having a serious impact on my perception of them.
Holy what?! A stealth arctic wave?? A giant arctic ship im finally in the position to acquire?? The stars have aligned!
Wow, this is quite the wave! I love all of the new animals, especially the seals for $10. The buildings are a solid improvement especially the largest one. Does the lady in the family house have a new hairpiece? It looks like Gabby's cat ears are reappearing as well.
Prices could be a lot better all around, but this is by far the best City wave in years.
I've personally never been that into City, but damn do I want that submarine! (and also the whale, despite the creepy eyes)
My wallet is crying. A seal!! And a huge turtle! And a killer whale… Too awesome.
That Arctic subtheme wave looks awesome. I may purchase some of these sets.
Am I the only one thinking "Ninjago City light"?
LEGO Animal enthusiasts are eating good tonight! Orcas, seals, turtles!? Sign me up!
at last several great city sets, but... they are very overpriced!
210€ for 60380 (10.4 ppc)? I can get a modular building!
or 85€ for 60365 (12.4ppc! for an unbranded set!)... they're simply mad!
It seems that those sets are overpriced so after discount you pay the "real" price...
The Arctic Research Ship makes me wish we hadn't given away 1193 when our kids outgrew Duplo.
I'm excited for the return of the large shark in the Research Submarine since I passed on sets with it years ago.
Love the arctic sub-theme, how many of those animals are new releases? I don't think I've seen a seal before.
CIVILIAN BUILDINGS!
IN CITY!
I thought the day would never come and those buildings in the 2021 lineup were just a weird outlier. This majorly ups the ante for... you know... 'CITY' to have this stuff. It's also nice that they have a fairer distribution of pricepoints than the last few years, given that they're all buildings, which are historically higher pricepoint sets.
objectively a very good wave and the level of detail and thought compared to some previous City sets (like the horrid 60271 Main Street) is fantastic. The creativity, fun, and energy are truly impressive.
Saying that, personally these urban sets will be a hard pass as the designers seems to have been inspired by Friends and Ninjago more than 'real life'.
I do love how the City house is so simple and plain compared to the zany-ness of the city center and apartment building - almost like the designers all went and did their own thing and then came back with their reveals, and 1 guy was out of step with the rest.

Is that a reference to the Lovin' Spoonful?
I read somewhere that the creative lead of Friends had taken over the City theme this year. I don't know how true that is, but looking at these designs it makes a lot of sense.
OMG, seals, Orca, big shark and a family house. Yes!!!!!

of course :)
Fun stuff. Been a while since we've had an actually-floats-on-water boat. The kid with the flannel shirt and purple pants, love that grunge style coming back (sort of!).
Finally a really good round of City sets - most of these look first-rate, best in years for this theme.
The "inexplicable City theme price premium" is still there, but not so bad on most of the sets.
Nice to see the minifig from 6655 return in the carwash.
I like the seals
I've been waiting for new City-Adventurer/Explorers-Sets and FINALLY here they are!! Not as many as I'd hoped and quite pricey (like all the new sets), but my planning for this Lego year is now set.
Speaking of pricey: while all these new sets look very nice, Lego is more and more stepping out of an affordable price range. I got used to Star Wars and adult sets being expensive. But now Creator- and City-sets ranging between 150 and over 200€? That's just crazy.

I’m also not sold on the killer whale. The shape of the head and the style of the eyes say DUPLO to me, not System.
Am I the only one that noticed that the car in 60362 doesn't have anyone in it? Apparently self-driving cars can feel the need to look sharp... Interesting to see the Stuntz ramp piece appear in 60364. Besides the seals, I love the movie camera in 60376. I also love the puppy in 60398.
Nice to see LEGO coming to their senses after recent years of "juniorization" of the entire line. I used to buy a lot of City sets, hardly any in recent times. These sets look way, way more interesting than City has been in a long, long time.
I'm guessing 60366 Winter Sports Park is most likely based on Copenhill, a power plant in Copenhagen that has a ski slope on top of it. https://parametric-architecture.com/copenhill-a-waste-to-energy-plant-with-a-ski-slope/
So we now get Sonic sets, AND an Orca! It's the perfect combination for the MOCs I'm planning to do!

You can't beat classic '60's Rock-n-roll!
I think what's making the Orca look wrong is it's eye print is too far forward on the snout; should be further behind where the upper and lower jaw meets.
To quote my child when they first saw 60368 "Oooo, Lego made a whaler!"
Great wave! The Car Wash, Ski Slope, and Modern house are personal highlights!
I don't know why they put the seal's in the cheapest set.
Kitty girl from 60321 is back as an adult!
Is that helmet in 60368 a new mold? It looks suspiciously like Eowyn's helmet...

I'm pretty sure it's the hornless viking helmet from the series 20 Viking. It has also made an appearance in the new Sanctum.
It almost looks like 60380 is the top half of a Ninjago City module.
The arctic stuff is looking particularly curved and smooth. Very nice to see it back, though.

Someone else pointed out to me (and now I can't un-see it) that the ship has the old style of hull for the stern, but a new style of hull for the bow. The older style hull had a flattened prow, but the new hull comes to a point. So I think the price is justified, considering we are getting two different huge hull pieces.
Considering the modernistic, boxy design of the apartment and city center sets (which I like, by the way), I wish LEGO had made each building floor and section modular, then sold them separately (kind of like Hogwarts, but even more modular). So I could buy a modern apartment and stack it on top of a noodle shop, or vice versa. I'm kind of obsessed with sub-systems within the larger LEGO system (like the standardized shipping containers used for the cargo train), and wish that these modern buildings had the same kind of inter-compatibility (I think they do have the ability to be somewhat rearranged, but they need to be sold in smaller quantities, so that they are more affordable).
