A new GWP is now available at LEGO.com, and an old one makes a return.

After being available briefly in Australasia last month, 40589 Pirate Ship Playground is now free elsewhere with purchases over £95 / $100 / €100 from today until 6th June, and in the UK and Europe 40529 Children's Amusement Park is available again, free with purchases over £130 / €150.

Additionally, in the USA, VIPs will receive 40606 Spring Fun VIP Add-On Pack when spending over $50.

By in United Kingdom,

Pirate Ship Playground is quite cute. Shame the Spring Fun add-on not getting a UK rerun... hopefully it will do.

By in Australia,

Just a crappy Off-Road Ambulance and 90 Years Of Cars here.

By in Netherlands,

I wasn't planning on buying anything for a while, but this GWP looks tempting...

By in Italy,

In Italy there is no additional GWP to the threshold of EUR 150,00 (not to mention that GWP 40487 has not been available for a long time for our market and Eastern European countries). LEGO just sucks.

By in Canada,

The Spring Add-on GWP set 40606 is available in Canada too. The spend threshold is $65

By in United States,

Are these promotions in store as well?

And I just placed an order without knowing this, so looks like I'll have to pass. I love free LEGO, but I am not going to order something new to hit the threshold again.

By in Spain,

I was thinking between waiting for this one or taking the moving truck. I finally opted for the latter, and placed an order yesterday to qualify for the truck. Nice set, though.

These are all great but I liked the moving truck 40586 the best. So beautiful and functional.

Why has the threshold for the Amusement Park increased from £90 when it was available last May and July to £130 now?

Um...what? This GWP is new for 2023. The set page shows that it was available last month at the earliest.

This year it's £130 threshold for 40529 + 40589
Last year it was £160 threshold for 40529 + 40533 or £90 for 40529 on its own.
GWPs often have different thresholds depending on what they're mixed with.
I think this years combination is much better value than on its own for £90.

Playground looks god; but I'm thinking the sword should be in brown, indicating 'wood', but then again they could be 'foam' or...'plastic':)

No, the Pirate Playground is new, the Amusement Park was available twice last year.

I’ve never seen a GWP have its threshold changed for the different times it was available. Could you give another time this has happened please?

Biggest one I remember was the 40487 Sailboat which had a thresholds of £200 and £150 on different occasions. More trivial example was 30556 which had thresholds of £30 and £35 on different occasions.
I'm also pretty sure there was one of the cars that had a different theshold on re-issue, but I can't remember which.

@Doctor_Hugh:
I did figure that out later, but my comment was locked by that point.

As for your question, 5001623 and 5002127 had initial spends of $75, but came back for a second round where all you had to do was buy _anything_ from those respective themes. I picked up an extra of both by ordering 76010 and 79118 (and got a free copy of 21113 because they shipped that instead of one of the two sets I ordered).

By in Norway,

@Ridgeheart - I think most of these GWPs are planned for multiple releases all from the beginning, one of the first articles about the moving van mentioned that it was scheduled for two periods, and I believe the 40588 flower pot thing will return sometime in June.
