VIP days at LEGO.com commence tomorrow

In an effort not to be outdone by Amazon Prime Day, LEGO is holding its own shopping extravaganza for VIPs which starts tomorrow and runs until Saturday.
Details are sketchy at the moment, but we do know that 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack, 40580 Blacktron Cruiser and 40581 BIONICLE Tahu and Takua will be available as GWPs again in the USA, and that there'll be double points on City, Friends, Technic and Harry Potter.
In Australia, where the event has already begun, the VIP add-on pack, a baking set and drawstring bag are the gifts with purchase.
I guess we'll find out what the spend thresholds are in the morning and also exactly what offers are available when and where.

Really hoping Blacktron and Tahu are UK as well, got my LEGO store visit planned and Rivendell to purchase
It's a good thing I already have those GWPs, so I won't be tempted to spend too much. And hey, if I do happen to hit the threshold and get another 40512, more stuff for that Bricklink store I'm setting up! If only Ninjago were getting double VIP points as well, I've already got 71770 in my cart, since it'll be discontinued very soon. I've also got 60390 in there, both to clear the shipping threshold and because it'll also be discontinued at the end of this year. If only Icons sets were getting double VIP, then I'd get 10320 as well. I mean, there are other sets getting discontinued that qualify, so I'll almost certainly be getting more than those two.
Probably still cheaper to buy the Lego from Amazon and the "freebies" from bricklink or ebay.

I’m just sitting here, waiting for the next Houses of the world GWP, so I can give LEGO a bunch of money :D
I would love to be excited for this, but these days Lego's events just feel too calculated and specific. I miss the days like we used to get 10-15 yrs ago for Black Friday and the likes with 20% off or more on desireable sets like UCS or Icons or Ideas. Three GWPs is significant, so at least that's something.
6427893 should also be in the VIP Rewards Center.

I wonder if the restrictions are the same on the GWPs as their initial releases. I recall Tahu was essentially only viable with non-licensed set purchases over a certain amount. Wonder if that'll be the case or if they'll adjust things.

Not really interested in any of the GWPs revealed so far for Aus, US, or the rest of Europe. Just hoping there's something different for the UK. Preferably Houses of the World 3.
Failing that, it'll just be the Fantasy Adventure Ride VIP Reward for me!
If the double VIP points applied to all themes I would happily open my wallet to get another Blacktron Cruiser. But none of the included themes are of enough interest to me to justify what will surely be a $150+ spend threshold.
Also most of my wanted list won’t be released until August and Sept, so I’ll just have to wait for another promo.
Well the New Zealand rewards are far from enough to entice me to spend anything. I had been hoping for a good reward so I could get 71409 before it retires.

The same in Belgium. And new Eldorado fortress is only €215, had to add one more item :-)
In the reward centre (collectors section) you can pull a free Key chain fig.

The safe bet here is it will be reduced by 40%at some point before end of life
Double VIP points on technic had me excited... until I remembered the Perseverance rover isn't available until August in the USA

VIP Blue keychain has been up for, I dunno, at least a month? I just had one arrive on Friday.
Looks like we miss out again down in NZ, no Blacktron Cruiser for us. Just a bag and the bake set for a mere 165GBP/211USD/192EUR spend.

In europa it had been out of stock/sold out.
Not fussed about the GWP’s here in NZ either, but 20% off the 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 with double VIP got me as I’ve been waiting for a decent deal to get it and unlikely to beat that anytime soon.

I'll just wait until the pre-Brick Friday VIP Weekend which is Double VIP on everything and some high threshold GWP.
It took a few minutes, but the US sales page now has sets added for VIP Days. Among them are 30% off for the Haunted Mansion, 20% off for Atari. Really nothing remarkable.
Hard pass on this sale, but I'm till waiting for 6427893 to show up, don't want to miss the last piece of a collection :/
The Double VIP points sucks when we still don't have any of the summer wave sets released in the US yet..
I just went for a few Harry Potter items and a PAB order. Saving most of the HP for the September GWP. As already mentioned by others still waiting on the City & Friends sets to release in the US. Plus I want the next GWP coming at the end of the month. Also waiting for them to add the last Bricktober Ride Vehicle to the VIP rewards page. Nothing I want from th esale items. Already have any that I would have been interested in buying.

Time to order the new El dorado and get all the bonus.
Plus there are some actual good discounts on some sets such as optimus prime.
