August 1st sees the release of around 70 sets, including Star Wars, Dreamzzz, Technic, Minecraft, Creator, Marvel and more. Additionally, Ninjago and Friends sets that were released in Europe in June will finally become available in North America.

To find out which ones you are most anticipating and intend to buy next week we've set up a poll after the break listing a dozen sets that we think will be popular.

Please make your selections and if we've missed any off the list, let us know in the comments!

Which sets do you intend to buy next week?

(Select up to 3 options.)

10321 Corvette

By in Netherlands,

76261 Spider-Man Final Battle is twice on the list.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Spider-Man Final Battle is on here twice but my most anticipated is probably 76224: Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sorted, thanks.

By in Australia,

I was in a local K-mart this morning, and they were unpacking all of the new August sets. They had the SW mechs, and Dreamzzz and Sonic sets, as well as Gabby's Dollhouse and all the new City and Batman sets.

I barely made it out of there with my bank balance intact, because I just wanted it all, it all looked so good.

Definitely want the City three-set of race car, off-roader and speed-boat. The Batmobile and Batwing (both inspired by the '89 movie) are definitely on my list, as are a heap of the Dreamzzz sets (that Pegasus is so pretty. And the sculpt for the Nightmare King figure is unreal, it's horrifyingly creepy and I love it).

Haven't made up my mind about the SW mechs, yet, or the Sonic sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Need an option for, saving my money this month & no space left.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I would say Disney 43230, as I am planning to buy it as soon as I can after release, but it isn’t available in Denmark until 1st September. Does it count anyway?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Only set I'm intending to get is 76249 Venomised Groot, which isn't on the above list. And thats mostly so it can live amongst my houseplant collection with the previous 76217 Groot.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Throwing 31210 modern art on the list just feels like kicking the poor set while it's down.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

My personal backlog is enormous so I'm not really looking at new sets to buy, but in this house we can't wait for Gabby's Dollhouse sets to be released. I hope they sell well and my daughter can get all the Gabby Cats. No DJ Catnip in the initial release is a TRAVESTY, I tell you!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Buy more LEGO next week?
I am still trying to work through Rivendell.
And at my current rate it could take me about a month. I can't possibly get more now on top of that! Or could I....
The minifig scale 1989 Batwing sure looks good...

(Building while watching the Extended Editions, 1 per week, Fellowship last weekend, Two Towers this weekend.
Throughout Fellowship I only got to bag 11 of 49)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm going for spider-man final battle, space roller coaster and the 1989 batmobile and batwing.

It should be September 1st globally :)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

10315 Tranquil Gardens is my choice for this month.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

It looks like 43230 isn't released until September.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Spider-Man Final Battle, Tail’s Workshop and Tornado, and Eggman’s Mech!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Not day 1, but Boba Fett mech. Just for the minifig, I only have Mandalorian era ones.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Does "more shelf space" count?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I'm going to be buying the Himeji Castle at some point, but definitely not at launch.
Actually I have made it a point to never buy any LEGO set at RRP, because there is not a single one I would consider good value for money at RRP, especially these days.

What I am looking forward to though is 105084 Burg Hohenzollern ;-)
But even that I am only going to buy once it gets a slight discount.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Where's the option "I won't buy anything next week"?
Out of that list the Walt Disney camera is probably my favourite, although Disney's recent run of form, destroying Star Wars and Indiana Jones, is not really something to celebrate.
I'm target audience for the Corvette, but that flat front is such a disappointment...
So not in a rush to hand over cash next week. I'll probably wait for the next double points weekend.

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

Next week? Nothing, unless I suddenly go completely crazy. But I do hope to pick up 10315 and 21060 eventually. The rest of these don't seem particularly tempting to me.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

None!

Kind of weird that that is not an option

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

No overpriced Homes of the World GWP?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Nothing to be honest.

Gravatar
By in United States,

None for me as well.

Maybe the crawler crane someday, but certainly not next week at full price.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Is there an overview of all sets that are being released on 1 August?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm still trying to find 10320 Eldorado Fortress on sale somewhere. It's apparently branded store exclusive, which is very annoying.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

42159 Yamaha bike. Currently building the 42130 BMW. Most anticipating the new gears and gearbox parts

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

-Dreamzzz crocodile
-minecraft axolotl

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Dreamzzz - several including 71456: Mrs. Castillo's Turtle Van

Gravatar
By in Australia,

None of them, thankfully.

It’s at least what LEGO.com is stating, but it would be nice if it was releasing next week already. :)

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

None, I will wait for promotions.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Although I don't intend to buy any of the August releases next week, I did select 75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base from the list.

The sets that I'm most looking forward to however, are 75361 Spider Tank and 75359 332nd Ahsoka's Clone Trooper Battle Pack.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm quite excited for 76224 Batmobile as well and the Tranquil Garden and Spider-Man set

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

My most anticipated set is 10321, but I won't buy it before its price has dropped to 120 or even 110 euros.

Looking forward to the minifig-scale Batmobile and Batwing, too.

I hope we soon get some info about the GWPs to be released in August.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I voted for the Corvette and the Space Roller Coaster, but didn't notice that the actual poll question was different from the headline. I probably won't be buying any big sets within the week. Maybe the Batmobile or Batwing.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

43230 Walt Disney Tribute Camera certainly my most anticipated September release.

40594 Houses of the World 3 and 6427893 Fantasy Adventure Ride are my most anticipated August releases as they will govern when I get a few other current exclusives from my wishlist.

Several excellent August releases such as 10315 Tranquil Garden and 21060 Himeji Castle, but they can wait a few months until they're reduced.

Gravatar
By in United States,

"Star Wars Advent Calendar" isn't on here (although that's usually a September release, so, nuts).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Huw Out of interest, is there a motive behind the poll, or is it just for fun?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Haha - mine would be, these are the 3 I'm selecting, to wait another year for the price to drop, then I will pick them up.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i was thinking about yavin, but once I saw the ahsoka sets it took a waaaaay back seat.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Went with Himeji Castle, the Garden and Disney Camera. Not sure if I will get any of them anytime soon though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

None of thes interest me in the least. Maybe October will have a better lineup.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can’t wait to get my hands on the Batwing and Batmobile!

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

The 31144 pink variant

I’m thinking this poll dictates the order reviews are released ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

tranquil garden and himeji castle for me, but im not going to buy them right now. Got some competing priorities for money, and i lego alot more in the winter anyway, so ill wait for an appealing gwp sometime this fall. Fantastic sets though and i really look forward to them

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is it possible to have it just show results after hitting submit. Seems like an unnecessary step to hit view results.

Gravatar
By in United States,

New battle pack isn't included in the poll lol huh

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Huw Is there a way to see a list of all the sets to be released on that (or another given) date? I have four sets on my Brickset Wanted list that I know are August 1 releases.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m planning to pickup the new Batwing and Perseverance Rover (finally available in North America - not like that’s where it was created or anything). Speaking of the rover, does anyone know if it’s a LEGO exclusive? Or available at all retailers?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@TheMikeStrikesBack said:

No, for the UK at least, it's currently 26% off (£63) at Amazon.

Gravatar
By in United States,

DreamZzz
Better than everything else this launch

Gravatar
By in United States,

I stopped buying items at release - if I wait, there’s always double points or GWPs. In the meantime, happy to hit Bricklink on August 1 for MOC parts…!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The two that were on the list that I definitely want were the Donkey Kong treehouse and the Dreamzzz shark ship. I definitely plan on getting most of the other Lego Mario releases (among which my most anticipated is probably Larry and Morton's airships to bring my Koopaling collection one step closer to completion). I'm also considering some of the other Dreamzzz sets and some of the Sonic sets (though am undecided on which ones). And while I don't collect City sets myself, my dad does get the occasional City set, so I'm looking forward to some of those releases as well.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Perseverance Rover, for my kid who loves NASA (though it'll be a Christmas present since it wasn't available in Canada in time for his birthday).
Nothing for me on Aug 1. I may eventually buy the Spidey battle and Yavin IV sets, but they'd need to come down substantially in price, Yavin IV especially. Saving up/waiting for decent GWP's for Rivendell for myself!

Gravatar
By in United States,

60376! It’s seal time!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm most excited for 42158 finally being available in the U.S.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Easy skip, too bad this wasn't the option.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

It's not always the largest (or latest) sets, that AFOLs like ;-). My buy for August is 71460

Gravatar
By in United States,

the new Ahsoka clone trooper battle pack, day one

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

None next week, although a couple on the list when cashflow allows...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

None, sadly! Purse-strings are tied up tight for August.

...but there's a ghostly spaceship arriving from a galaxy far, far away in September with my name on it!

Gravatar
By in Iceland,

our local toy retailer actually had some of the new Dreamzz sets out already today, and I couldn't resist! (love it when they have sets early!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Well, nothing on this list...however "three-way tie" between:
71453: Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny (because how can you say no...)
71454: Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot (although wouldn't "cyborg" or "mech" be more correct...I mean, Z-Blob's NOT a robot...)
and 60395: Combo Race Pack ("Heeellooo you foooo...", um sorry; ear-worm:D)

Gravatar
By in United States,

You need an option for maybe I’ll buy Pac-Man this month. Nothing coming out is all that exciting.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The next set I'm likely to buy is 42158, NASA Mars Rover Perseverance. (Not sure when it's scheduled for release!) After that, probably 43230, with 60376 if necessary to get to a promotional level break. I'm in no hurry to buy sets over $100, especially since the ones I want are likely to be available for quite a while.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

76991 Tails' Workshop and the Tornado! Looking forward to building it!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Just bought Tranquil Garden and Space Roller Coaster from a NZ online store at 20% off for new releases.

I want to move to New Zealand.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I was lucky enough to buy some of the Sonic the Hedgehog sets early from my local Big W the other day! I've only got a chance to make the death egg robot so far, and the Eggman minifig looks amazing!

I am surprised they put Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge on there. It is arguably the worst one of the wave and not worth the price, so who's going to pick that one as their first choice? Also, no Tails!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

43230 Walt Disney Tribute Camera. I have it pre-ordered and am eagerly awaiting delivery.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Nightmare King's Shark Ship!

Interesting that 42158 is not on the short list. This one is also the next one on my list. I mostly buy parts nowadays as Lego does not quite produce what I'm interested in (space) so I've reverted to moc'ing. The only problem is it can get very long to get the right parts in the right colours. 10315 tranquil garden is coming with a part in a new recolour that I need; so in 4 months I should be able to get it. I'm still waiting for brackets in sand green coming from the Range Rover. Not a project for people in a hurry...

I will also get most of the city sets with the new animals.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

42159 Yamaha MT-10. Should look great next to the 42130 BMW M1000RR that I already have.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What a time to be a Lego fan. Seems like there’s something for everyone in that list. Great to see such a variety of sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For me, it’s the custom-but-technically-official Good Humor Ice Cream Man torso, and Good Humor Ice Cream Woman torso (they’re a husband and wife team, so I’m making a minifig of her to put on the Good Humor Ice Cream bike), which I just made today on the Minifig Factory at the local LEGO Store, just in time for a week-long show in the same building as the actual GHIC truck I based my MOC on. Wait, does it still count if I got it at the end of July instead of skipping half a day of the show to make them next month?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not planning on picking up any sets next month. I'll be ordering some parts from PAB, but I think I'll try and pick up the 332nd pack at some point when it's on a discount. Otherwise I still have some sets to catch up on such as the Indy Well of Souls set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am [venomized] Groot!

Gravatar
By in United States,

A few nice sets like the Spider-Man Final Battle and Yavin-4, but definitely not going full price on any of these. I’ll swing back to them next year once the hype has died down and the sets are on discount.

I somehow totally missed this Gabby's Dollhouse theme. I have no idea what that is (I assume a media property?), but my daughter I think would enjoy it.

Dreamzzz Sharky Shark and Bunny Buns!

Lego.com seems like a place to order one.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

For me, it's the customizable cars 60395 and 60396. I might make a bigger order with more cars as well, such as 60383, 60384 and maybe 60389 to populate the streets of my city.

But yeah somehow, 60395 is the big one I'm waiting for. I don't know if it's the classic colors or the overall design, but it looks majestic as a set.

Gravatar
By in Malaysia,

I am going for 42159 & 42161

Gravatar
By in United States,

My August purchase is the Mars Rover (42158). I've been waiting since it was announced!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

None of the above! 76224 Batmobile and 75370 Stormtrooper Mech are at the top of my list.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@PurpleDave: Ah, the "Minifigure Factory" at select Lego stores/locations. My vacations plans got halted this year, if they hadn't I would have tried to do a 'loop' through Alberta; first to Edmonton and THE MALL (W.E.M.) therein. They got not just 'a store' within the last few years, but a 'flagship store' like that to one in "The Mall of America"; complete to said 'factory'...oh well, next year...maybe...:|

Gravatar
By in United States,

Set 31141 Main street is the one I want, and the one I want reviewed the most. I plan on adding back walls to the buildings at some point.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Walt Disney Tribute Camera isn't an August set. So I will ignore its presence there and say "none".

The Himeji Castle is very nice but overpriced. So I'm not anticipating any set in August. 'cause the one I like, I rather wait for Amazon to put it on discount with a fairer price.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@brick_r:
Fun fact: I don’t remember if Michigan got the first in the US, but I remember our store’s manager telling me we beat Mall of America’s flagship store. Why? Our store was already wired for electrical in the middle of the room, and they needed power run for theirs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm excited for all the City sets finally releasing in NA/US.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nothing this month, the funding has dried up. However I will get Donkey Kong for the kids later. And the Sonic sets look fun.
