LEGO teases a supersonic set!
Posted by CapnRex101,LEGO has published a short video on Facebook, which features the distinctive silhouette of Concorde!
This video only shows a tiny version of the celebrated aircraft, known for its incredible speed, but I think we can safely assume an announcement is imminent.
Watch the video below...
What are your expectations for a LEGO rendition of Concorde? Let us know in the comments.

Looks a lot like that Concorde set that leaked recently.
Droop snoot
Very cool announcement. The Concorde remains such an iconic plane so many years after its retirement, and for good reason. It looks marvelous.
Darn thing was SO CRAMPED, though. I went inside the one stationed at the USS Intrepid museum in NYC. I am a little more than 6 feet tall and I was doubled over the entire time I was inside. Good thing any flights would have been short!
The latest in their vintage planes?
Oh.. I was thinking of Sonic the Hedgehog. :(
Appropriate,I'll be going on a plane to Maine tomorrow
Not concorde,obviously.
Much better than my box-y version back in the 80's. I've been waiting for this release for a long time. Very exciting for this AFOL.
Missed out on the 787 15 years ago but not missing this
Argh there goes my self control this month.
I hope it comes with a Phil Collins minifig. :)
LEGO teases its growing inability to control leaks
Was fortunate enough to fly on one. Not necessarily the most pleasant flight I’ve ever had, but extremely memorable. I’ll definitely be wanting the set. Please let it be affordable.

It will come with 2,083 pieces and cost $200. The full model is 40 inches long.
It’s still quite hard to accept this vision of the future is now firmly in the past. The roar used to be deafening as it flew over LEGOLAND Windsor after take off at 10am every morning on its run out to New York. Everyone stopped what they were doing to gaze up. I hope the set is as swooshable as Ed Diment’s build from 2008 - https://www.brothers-brick.com/2008/07/12/ed-diment-flies-to-france-on-his-lego-concorde-at-mach-2/amp/

Lucky you. While I living in NYC 1999-2002 was planning on taking a trip on the Concorde...unfortunately the 2000 crash and 9/11 put a damper on it ever happening.

The X-59 project is studying shapes needed to make supersonic flight while reducing sonic booms. Several start-ups are also investigating the product viability of supersonic flight without sonic booms.
The largest limiter to supersonic flight is the noise restrictions over populated areas which is why Concorde was only Trans-Atlantic service. Fix that problem, and it opens up the commercial sector for domestic supersonic flight again.
Maybe an Oasis set?
CONCORDE!!!!!!!!
With the prominence and availability of leaks, many of us saw this weeks ago, didn’t Brickset consider sharing leaks too?
For me, I hope it comes with a 5th Doctor minifig. :)

imo they would lose recognized lego fan media ....

I don't think they are allowed to since they are a part of LAN. It's one thing to show pictures from a retailer slip up, but entirely another thing from some rando on Instagram or Reddit.
I do miss it.
Such an icon.
And to think regular Atlantic commuters saw the sun rise twice each morning. Amazing.
Looking forward to this

Why are they sort of pretending there are no images of this set, yet?
You can read our policy on leaks here, https://brickset.com/article/52662/novelty-policy, which aligns with what's expected of recognised fan media.
I would like to note I for one appreciate brickset maintains a level of journalistic integrity and credibility that many of the leak aggregation sites lack. Knowing, especially in this age of AI-generated deepfakes, that things I read here are legitimate, and not just rampant speculation turned into clickbait headlines, makes me trust things on this site in a way I can't on other sites.
I...just MENTIONED the Concorde on these boards the other day, and...Hmm...:
"I want to win the the lottery..."...Hey, I couldn't hurt...:D
(Although/In fairness: I've been 'asking' for more DC stuff on the boards for...a ridiculously long time, and...'Life', I tell ya'...:))
not a fan of Lego vehicles of any kind but this one seems to nail it 100%, the interiors looks nice as well, kudos to the designer.

That doesn’t sound too harsh, actually. Obviously gonna need to see it to get a feel.
Really looking forwards to this one.
Might even be the third white flying thing that I feel compelled to get on day 1...
Saturn V, Space Shuttle, Concorde!
Will look interesting next to the nearly twenty year old Dreamliner build. The actual Concorde is technically older by over forty years (first Concorde flight was in 1969 whereas Dreamliner started flying in 2011 according to Wikipedia), but the Boeing Dreamliner is going to look positively primitive next to this plane.
My biggest issue is where am i gonna put this thing
@Huw, the video isn't showing up in Firefox. I had to use Edge to see it. (Not that there's much to see...) That said, looking for the full reveal, as an aviation buff. Here's hoping the droop snoot looks good in both positions.

100%
Apart from JANGBricks on YouTube, Brickset is my only LEGO hobby site / news source.
Sweet, new Sonic the Hedgehog's coming to go Supersonic!

It's fully understandable that affiliated Lego fan sites don't mention leaks, and they wouldn't be able to anyway as they've already had the set to review and there will be an embargo/NDA on the review (which would be more detailed than the leak).
I don't mind that these sites don't mention leaks, but I do find Lego's behaviour over them to be rather OTT.

You can still fly on a Concorde. All you have to do is find a die-cast toy, and be willing to sit on top of it. I suggest laying it flat. If it doesn’t have landing gear, upside-down is even better, so the rudder digs into the seat cushion instead of your thigh.
@PhantomBricks:
The rule as I understand it is they aren’t supposed to show watermarked images, or they risk losing their R-status. I’m not sure how that applies once the set is officially announced, or officially released, or retired. At this stage, it’s a hard no.
This is going straight to the top of my want list.
@darthnorman
@Brickerika
I knew collecting all the seven chaos emeralds would lead to something! Maybe we get more than 4 figs for this wave after all, even if it isn't Knuckles!
(I'm joking, of course. I know this isn't a Sonic the Hedgehog set, as cool as it would be...)

I never eschew any new interesting LEGO release but I guess I’m in the minority here as my excitement is low for this retired, niche (though iconic) aircraft. Maybe my feelings will change after seeing it, like I did with the 10283 space shuttle which surprisingly ended up being a Week 1 purchase for me even after I already had my favorite minifig version 10213.
My wanted list is unfortunately getting out of control so I’m probably pressuring myself to keep the cutoff high. Am I the only one still finding a way to procure the Lion Knights Castle 10305 and/or Rivendell 10316? I don’t even want to talk about Diagon Alley 75978 and Gringotts 76417. And I’m still down the Jazz Club 10312 with the next modular not far away.
Thank goodness I grabbed the globe 21332 before those dang price increases. I feel bad too that Giza 21058 is not yet near the cut line. A part of me is holding out a selfish hope that the Venator looks awful. Of course, another part of me keeps looking at the (spoiler alert) long gone razor crest 75331 telling myself how it really needs me.
Thank goodness I wrote off the UCS Falcon and At-At already. I think.
Gimme an SR71!!
I’ve been eagerly anticipating this set ever since I first heard the rumours about it. Last week I finally came across some leaked images (which I will of course not link to here) including the apparent box art. All I can say is that if the price point is correct, this will be a day one purchase.
Day one purchase for me! Massive fan of planes and Concorde is one of my all time favourites. Up there with the Spitfire and Lancaster. Probably my favourite Lego set of the year.

On one hand, I have no idea where I'd put it.
On the other hand, I live in a city named Concord.

Same here. I would be super happy if I could drum up $400 to get 10305 but while $100-150 is fairly easy to come up with, $400-500 is difficult to find and justify. Very disappointing that there are so many great sets in this price range today.
There's already a Cobi model of Concorde, licensed from Brooklands Museum (where one of the surviving Concordes resides). It will be interesting to see how the two compare.
Another expensive dust collector
HOLY JONNY QUEST!

I have the Cobi model. The LEGO one has 4x the pieces at 4x the cost. It's also twice as long (so we can likely assume the other dimensions are also double) and has a partial microscale interior. I'll probably display them side by side but the LEGO model is going to dwarf the Cobi one.

While I never had the opportunity to fly one, this echoes my experience when we crossed the Channel to England by Hovercraft when I was a child: not the most pleasant but definitely memorable (and, while being in a Concorde is definitely another ballpark to being in a hovercraft, to a child at least that was impressive already) ;-)

The thing about the Dreamliner is it is also another traditional thin-body plane at the end of the day. The 737, 757, 767, 777 and most of the competing catalog from Airbus kind of all have that same "look" about them. I know there are differences in engine configuration and size, but its all pretty subtle from a quick glance. Only the 747 with its distinct humpback strikes a strongly distinct visual profile compared to the rest.
I do think it has been a long time since we have had any neat thin-body plane sets though aimed towards adult collectors. Not sure if LEGO would want to partner up with Boeing again though even on a civilian plane after the Osprey PR mess (although Airbus ALSO has a nice catalog of military aircraft that would make the pacifists squirm). However considering modern thin-bodies ARE most people's experience with flight a nice set would connect with a lot of people, the manufacturer's military ties be damned.

Hovercraft are so cool. I’ve been on one of the big ones in Asia, but I always wanted to ride a smaller one, like those swamp hoppers. Never did get a shot at one. It’s never too late I guess, though.
If the images in the leaks are the genuine set 10318, then colour me unimpressed.
Yes, it's recognizable as Concorde, but far from what I would consider an attractive rendition of this beautiful aircraft. Plus it's a LEGO exclusive, so discounts are quite unlikely, unless it becomes a "bestseller" like the football table or the Black Panther Bust.
Looking forward to the stock comments when it's released...
It's overpriced.
Lego stole an Ideas submission.
It's not an Airbus.
The Cobi one is much better.
The box is boring.
I hate it, so it shouldn't have been made.
Why are Lego so stupid.
Arrggghhh, stickers.
Arrggghhh, expensive.
Can't leak the pictures but can leak the review*
*And it covers 90% of the reviews.

I don't think I saw that one... never really took to Peter Davison as the Doctor (Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee were my favourites)
'Airbus'.
What?
Is this it?
