There's something charmingly 90s about that geometric dome on top of the castle... although it looks like it might be vinyl? That would be a shame.

A vinyl dome is charmingly 2000's at least.

Why did I think that crutch was a machine gun when I first saw the image?

Hey man, if you want it to be a machine gun, then it's a machine gun hahaha....

At last... The new Duplo wave...

By in United Kingdom,

Set 43223- I love this set, one of the best released this year, but everytime I look at it I can't stop thinking about lego imperials

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Excellent. I love, LOVE another goat in a form that so many people will get irrationally angry over. I hope they release a CMF in a goat costume, a Brickheadz version, a mosaic of a goat in a piece of art, etc.

43223-not much of a city, just some building

...or a rather chunky baton/tonfa!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look at least useful as parts packs for AFOLs. IDK where this film is set, but the designs also feel very Mediterranean which is not an area that's received a lot of LEGO love in the past. Anyone doing a MOC of Mykonos (MOConos?) will be very happy!

By in United States,

I like how the different clothing options serve to change up the silhouettes of the minidolls. Minifigures have such an abstract shape that it works for a number of body types, but the minidolls are a different story.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I forgot this movie even existed,I think the only animated movie I've cared about this year is ATSV

Gravatar
By in Austria,

who?

they look neat though, especially as parts packs

Your evil knows no bounds, my friend.

Also why does it look like the lady in the red dress has either a billy club or a machine gun? Good luck unseeing that, my fellow Brickset fans.

Don't know anything about the movie but they look like fun sets! I like the vertical slotted windows in the wings of the Castle a lot, might have to steal that idea : )

By in United States,

I’m glad that Disney seems to finally be using the new, trendy “flat shading” look for this film, if not to a super obvious extent (than again, neither did Puss in Boots 2 and it still 100% applies). Both them and Pixar have been playing too hard into the expensive but archaic style they’re known for, and the latter also using that weird peanut head and mouth style from cartoons like Gravity Falls even though most 2D animation has shifted away from it since people don’t like peanut heads.

Oh yeah, and LEGO sets. I generally don’t but Minidoll sets but these look cool enough, I guess.

That was my second thought!

What I think is that they should make another First Order Riot Trooper minifig, with that baton thing in white.

She asked the wishing star for a way to get past the guards and into the castle, and her wish was granted.

And fortunately, the two parts that make up the baton thing are already both available in white.

I like 43231; nice thatched roof there.

It's not the whole city; the set's name is Asha *in* the City of Rosas.

By in United States,

That's a nice little fairy-tale cottage. I like it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really liked how they used the brown branch parts in the cottage!

Gravatar
By in Mexico,

Very nice sets!!! I like the archs on the sides of the castle, they look like terrain and part of the castle at the same time.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

All I can say is that Disney has done a terrible job advertising this movie as this article is literally the first time I've heard of it... and I've got Disney princess obsessed grandkids.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The sets look great! It's almost like a Friend's/Spanish Hogwarts lineup. There are some great new or newer pieces in the sets such as the hairpieces and printed 1x1s. Yet again another bunch of sets I would consider picking up if they were minfig based. The prices seem a little much, but I'm not sure I'm grasping the size of these sets. The little star definitely makes me want Mario Minifigure sets even more.

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

Not the lego goat we need but the lego goat we deserve

Gravatar
By in United States,

I must have my head in the sand, as when I first read the title, I thought it had something to do with knockoffs sold on the titular website.

The architecture of these sets is amazing.

"And given the recent track record from Disney there is totally gonna be gay characters and woke stuff in this movie, which probably means it's gonna be another total flop."

Given the recent track record of Disney, there's totally not gonna be gay characters (and I'm sad about that as a bisexual), they allowed gay characters last year because people were calling Disney out after they supported Don't Say Gay but it seems like they assume we've forgotten by now because none of their media this year has had representation aside from a few seconds of Elemental. I don't truly know what "woke stuff" is and it's probably best that politics are kept out of LEGO set conversations, but for unrelated reasons (excessively high budgets) Disney has had flop after flop this year, Wish has $200M put into it so sadly it's probably gonna be another.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I wish they would make the system goat again.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

They made a new Friends goat but couldn't bother with a regular goat in the Viking Village set? So disappointing...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know what that yellow spikey blob thing is but I want it!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The cottage is cute, but that stickered window is unforgivable. C'mon, Lego. You have lots and lots of different window pieces. You could have easily used one of those instead of a sticker for a window.

It's a Wishing Star :) But yellow-spikey-blob thing works too :D

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I quite like the castle and the cottage; the latter in particular could blend quite well into various settings builders already have. I like a sticker here and there but has Lego gone overboard this time around??? Also, LOVE the minidolls. Great additions to mix up the minidoll catalogue (YAY!)

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Ok, can we get those stars in the next Mario wave as Luma!

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of these are great!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Darn, thought these were going to be minifig based sets like Lightyear. Builds look great despite so many stickers.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Sorry, "Puss in Boots" did a 'Wishing Star' WAAAAAAAAY better; as in: It was GINORMOUS, the characters had to move across it (walk, run, jump,...) to reach the center (where one could make their wish)...THAT'D be the set I'd like to see...:)

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

That "star" really stretches the definition of a minifig.

me too! ahahaha

Gravatar
By in Greece,

That cottage is really great and so is that cute wishing star!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The $99 castle seems a bit over-priced for just over 600 pieces compared to the other sets, maybe they know it will likely be the most popular or just anticipating the discounts.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I kind of wush that these sets would be released in November given the fact the movie comes out on November 22 (two days before Thanksgiving).

Gravatar
By in France,

The cottage is just adorable, so many nice part uses and I love that it's not just a façade. Classic enough to be a generic fairytale cottage!

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

The Castle could be the most overpriced set in history here in Sweden at $110, just ludicrous.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

That guy with the lute looks fantastic!

My childhood way of dealing with the "no guns politics" LEGO had in the 80's

By in Netherlands,

43223 really speaks to me. I love the design of the carpets. If only they where prints...

The 43231 castle doesn't look that good. Like a one-piece plastic knock-off toy design.
