Joining the ranks of my colleagues, I'll be maintaining this list of LEGO sets that I designed, or contributed notably to the design of, since starting at The LEGO Group as a designer in June 2022! I'll note on a set-by-set basis whether I was involved with the sketch model and concept, the finalization of the model, or both.

My first official proper briefed task as a designer after joining The LEGO Group (yaaay!) was to begin concepting and sketching out this set, starting with the motorcycle. It was a great learning exercise, and a good way to begin learning the ropes and the various standards of quality we need to pay attention to during the design process - this resulted in heaps and heaps of sketches! Especially of the bike. So, so many bikes. The Badnik, Rhinobot, is the part of the set that changed the least over the whole process, but he got plenty of polish too.
The model was finalized by Maria Jedryszek. Graphics were made by Lauren Cullen King.

This one was super fun to design, and the first instance where I had the chance to take a set through the process from initial concept to final model. It was particularly interesting to have a brief not based on something directly from pre-existing source material. I've always loved mechs and big robots, and the build of this mech was influenced by one of my favorite childhood themes, Exo-Force! I'm also happy I could use those elements for the Master Emerald. The opportunity to have studs on the brick built feet call back to Knuckles' shoe design was also too good to pass up. While most of the stock images show Knuckles standing in the cockpit, it was designed for him to sit, which he comfortably can! The 1x1 heart-shaped tile elements came in handy, fitting not only Rouge's motifs but also the nose of a bat.

I had the chance to finalize this set, working off an excellent sketch model by Joe Kyde. Some of the things I added were more windows (and colour changed, too!), the bamboo raft and - the thing I'm happiest about - the baby turtles! The house itself is very swooshable, especially for a building; in fact, with a minor mod that you can do with just the bricks included, it can technically become eligible for noVVember ;)

Another amphibian Minecraft mob house - I designed the sketch model for this one, and was going for a sort of stilt house vibe, having the structure stand at a bit of an elevation off the ground instead of down flat, to fit the implied swampy environment. Being straight up a huge frog, and standing on its froggy legs, made getting it stable a bit more interesting than usual! With the mouth doubling as a sort of veranda and entrance, it only made sense to make the stairs red - who wouldn't love entering their frog house on a tongue? You also get one each of all three flavours of Minecraft frog!

Kini-Nui!

Haha, no, it is the Master Emerald Shrine on Angel Island. It was interesting to design basically a "sequel" to my first set, 76996 Knuckles' Guardian Mech, even though things didn't start out that way. This is another model I took through the development process from earliest concept to final product (it does incorporate some elements from a different sketch model by Erik Jensen), and there were a *lot* of early concepts, spanning a range of different subject matters - many of which weren't even related to Angel Island or the Master Emerald! Once this direction was explored and decided upon, I deliberately made sure it interacts with 76996 - there is a 4x4 slot at the top of the shrine into which you can key the Master Emerald plinth from the mech set. Fans will notice some nods to bits and bobs from Sonic lore, and I particularly like the grapevine - fun fact, since the purple grape element is technically ammunition for a shooting function, you get ample supply! The Eggrobo was also particularly fun to design, as robots and mechs are what really make my brain go brr.

This is another one I had the chance to take through the process from sketch to final, with the baseline idea being some kind of scenario that incorporates both the new Cherry Blossom biome and the new Sniffer mob. The adult Sniffer is very heavily based on a sketch by Joe Kyde - following my addition of baby turtles to 21254 and now a baby Sniffer here I think the establishment of a tradition is happening right before our eyes! A number of different layouts and setups were explored for the environment with the final version being influenced partially by traditional Japanese gardens with raked sand. Also debuting here is the new Decorated Pot item from Minecraft, and the transparent 2x4 plate element!
Some of you might also pick up on the Bionicle reference in this one ;)

My first set aimed at an adult collector audience! Designing this was an entirely different challenge from any of the sets I've worked on before. Initially I was tasked with exploring a broad range of concepts for an adult collector oriented set in the Sonic the Hedgehog theme, which was an incredibly fun process. Then I was tasked with trying this direction out specifically, and the brief ultimately switched gears to this concept. Translating the form and shapes of Shadow the Hedgehog's head into brick was the biggest design challenge I've faced yet for sure, and the process had a lot of back and forth and some last minute redesigns. The internal structure is probably the most unorthodox build I've done both as a designer *and* and as fan-builder prior, and I've sprinkled in some fun easter eggs too! Here's hoping that the "load bearing crab" technique catches on...

There are several reasons why I'm probably going to consider this set one of my favorites that I've worked on as a designer for a long, long time to come! Another instance where I had the chance to take a sketch model I designed through finalization, the Cyclone is one of my favorite vehicles in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and Metal Sonic one of my favorite characters.
We designed three new elements for this set, two of which are general-use building parts with a huge amount of utility, as well as Metal Sonic's head, which breaks new ground for minifigure head elements - if you check out the 360° turnaround on the LEGO.com listing, you'll see what I mean! Aside of the exciting new pieces, I also had the chance to colour-change a Bionicle element in this set, bringing the Mistika wing in blue for the first time.
As for the build, beyond loving mechs, I love mechs that transform even more. During the early stages of development, I explored both a transforming and a non-transforming version of Tails' iconic vehicle - I've very glad we decided to go with the former! The design blends elements from different depictions of the Cyclone, drawing from Sonic Adventure 2 and Frontiers primarily, with the conversion scheme leaning closer to Frontiers specifically. Figuring out how to make that work, while keeping the build experience fun and engaging at this age-mark and of course maintaining sturdiness for play was a very fun challenge to tackle and I'm really happy with the end result. I'm glad I could use a foot design for the mech in an actual set that I've previously used in MOCs I built as a fan!

This could have been about crabs. Crabs! But no.

Armadillos are cute too though - the latest mob vote winners appear here for the first time with an adorable new head element. You can "roll" them up by removing a couple of elements and feed them... *checks notes*... spider eyes? Yum! The armadillos have some recoloured elements in them, and I'm happy to have brought the 6x6 plate in olive green with this set. The terrain has some play features inside and next to the mineshaft, and a bit of modularity going on with both the roof and the side bit with the little river being easily removable and on a 6x12 footprint. We've also got an armored wolf and a tile representing the "scute" that armadillos can drop, so we've got the entire armadillo-to-wolf-armor pipeline! I really like the colour scheme of the the savanna biome, so working on this set was quite fun. I also strove to add some verticality to the design with the terrain above the mineshaft entrance to get a bit of a different silhouette.

Let's just hope Mojang adds those crabs later on...

Working on this one was a very different experience than desining the playtheme-style sets typical of LEGO Minecraft, but in a fun and interesting way. The medium lends itself perfectly for this kind of expression and many times I found myself wondering why we didn't do this sooner - but at least this way I got to work on it! With this set, I finalized a brilliant sketch model designed by Isaac Snyder, so I had a very good place to start from. Adding the reference to the x-y inverted Pig, which Minecraft fans will know was the accident that led to the creation of the Creeper, is my favorite addition I made to the brief. The parts used to build the 'verti-pig' can be used to build a normal pig too! Optimizing the building experience is a completely different process in a model like this, and it was quite the learning opportunity! Fun fact: during development, until almost the very end, the model organically was 1 element more than the final product (this was not deliberate).

Lots going on in this one! It is always particularly rewarding having the chance to work on a set from the very first sketch all the way through to finalizing the product, and this was one such case. The size, verticality and modularity all contributed to a uniquely challenging design process that was also one of the most fun to date. Packing three 'intended' modular configurations and countless other possibilities for you to discover on your own, we packed a lot of play into this set, as well as goodies for Minecraft fans and/or MOC builders - the debut of the Endermite, the return of the Enchanting Table, transparent 6x8 plates and lots of the new ladder piece (super excited about this element! It was designed for this wave of Minecraft and has tons of utility). I'm also especially happy with the minifigures in this one, especially Dimensional Defender whom I proposed and named. I did not design the graphics for him, but did make the first sketch!

The very first LEGO Minecraft Advent Calendar! When the opportunity arose I was particularly eager to work on this project, as the design process for the calendars has many unique steps and factors not present when working on more traditional sets, with very specific requirements that make it feel much more like a puzzle of sorts. This one was also even more of a collaborative team effort than usual, and *every* LEGO set is very much a team effort. As opposed to one designer being "assigned" to the set, we tag-teamed this one through the finalization process with Isaac, and leading up to that every member of the design team contributed a number of little sketch models to explore what kinds of gifts could hide behind all the little windows. Ultimately, despite "only" having 24 slots to fill (it might seem like a lot at first but it becomes very little very fast!) and those very specific requirments mentioned earlier, we managed to pack in just about everything we were particularly excited for. I am very glad I experienced this 'flavour' of design process.

Bricklist notes
This one is the big one.
I've been a fan of Transformers for as long as I can remember, and while it all started with Armada for me, I've immersed myself in the entire world and all its continuities over the years. If you would have told me 3 years ago that I'd have worked as a designer on an official LEGO set of these I would not have believed you and lost my mind simultaneously; I wouldn't have even dared dream of this.
Soundwave is particularly dear to me due to how neurodivergent-coded he is. This varies across continuities and writers from "you can sort of headcanon it" to "stated outright". Ravage also has a great deal of emotional weight for me - our pet black cat who brought joy to our lives for many years was also called Ravage.
I always say set design is collaborative, but with Soundwave that teamwork factor was amplified way beyond anything I experience with other sets. It began with me designing the concept model for Soundwave and Ravage, with a concept model for Laserbeak designed by Yoel Mazur. During this time I asked for input and help from Joe Kyde, who designed the Icons Optimus Prime and used to be a designer at Hasbro, working on Transformers. During concepting Anthony Palamaro cooked up graphic designs for us, and I'm very happy he had the chance to follow through. With Soundwave, the very first things that we wanted to figure out were the button and latch mechanism of the chest window, to recreate that authentic tactile 80's gadget click and feel - this bit I worked on so early that I didn't even have his body or scale mapped out, I was just working with a hollow featureless box with the window mechanism tacked on. Both the latch mechanism and the conversion scheme ended up being almost unchanged from my very first sketches all the way to the final set, aside of optimizing some elements. Probably my favorite and proudest part of it all is the sequenced hinges allowing the shin panels to collapse into his legs when you fold up his feet - this was there practically from the start, though I built it with 3.18 bars initially, and Joe suggested a brilliant improvement with Technic elements maintaining the whole mechanism but making it sturdier.
Laserbeak and Ravage in particular gave us the majority of the work. Once we locked in the dimensions we had to stick to, we had to figure out how to make these roughly 8x5x2 rectangles turn into a bird and cat, remain strurdy and stable, be articulate, and be reasonably buildable. With Laserbeak, we ended up using Yoel's sketch almost unchanged - some bits had to be made sturdier, we adjust the legs and neck. I built appoximately 30 versions of Ravage with vastly different transformation schemes. Turning an 8x5x2 rectangle into a cat while following all of our guidelines was probably the highlight of my design career, both in terms of challenge and excitement. Ravage ultimately is the only part of this set I would describe using the singular "*I* designed this".
Running concurrently with the model development process was the sound design process which produced the sound brick included in the set, that you can activate by pressing the play button on Soundwave's waist. This was spearheaded by Elysha Zaide and Jackson Koeper from the sound team.
Joe and I co-designed this set when it came to the finalization phase, but he kindly let me take the reins for most of it, knowing how passionate I was about the project and how much of my work was in the concept model. That said, it would not exist without his work and experience, the refinements he brought to the model, the technical knowledge, all those hours helping perfect the internal structures, and the level headedness he brought to balance out my overbearing childlike joy at being allowed near something like this. Plus the microscale Soundwave next to the plaque - that was all him, idea to design! Yoel designed the window element that would set the scale, and as mentioned before Anthony did the graphic design.

This one brings back one of the game's more challenging encounters for the first time in 10 years! The main structure of the model was inspired by the shape of the Wither itself, reimagined as a dramatic boss battle arena. Upon spawning, the Wither blows apart the central face structure on the shrine to enter the scene, which was an interesting function to execute and fine-tune. Behind the adjacent vestigial faces are located a pair of rooms with a chest and crafting table. This is the first time we've done a baby Strider in a LEGO Minecraft set, and you're also getting a new Mace element and a new opening 2x2 chest.
21590 is also a big deal for me as it sees the debut of my first official graphic design work in a LEGO set! The decorations on the Crimson Warrior minifigure and the 1x1 Nether Star tile were designed by yours truly. Shoutout to our graphic team for humoring my interest and coaching me through the process!
I had the chance to take this model through the process from sketch to finalization.
The other graphics in this set were done by Anne Godsk Pedersen, and element design was done by Matt Marshall.
