- This was an extra special set to work on. I didn't play Horizon Zero Dawn until it was released on PC, but then immediately fell in love with the world. The incredible scenery, majestic machines, crumbled ruins, and unique tribes captivated me and I was thrilled to take on this project.
Joseph Kyde made the first sketch model which gave me a great starting point. I also received plenty of support from Frederic Roland Andre as I developed the model. We were fortunate to work closely with the Guerilla Games design team who gave a lot of key input on the most vital aspects of the Tallneck to capture. Nothing like being able to get feedback from the original machine designers!
It was certainly a challenging product to design, and every section of the build went through loads of iterations. In the end, I'm very satisfied with the final result.

Element design by Gitte Thorsen and Christian Vonsild, Building Instructions by Morten Sørensen (also a big Horizon fan!), and Hans Henrik Sidenius was the Model Coach.
