Bricklist notes: My first set! And what a great first set as well! I designed this model from the first concept to the final design in the box, so you can imagine what a great learning opportunity it has been for me.

My favourite thing about this set? Probably the recolour of the Super Mario vine element in a metallic colour, to make it look like barbed wire! On the other hand, that new corrugated fence element is also pretty cool...

Bricklist notes: Who's ready to go sailing? This model was developed while working on my other sets, and was based on a concept done by Aaron.

The dolphin is new in this colour, plus I also had the opportunity to recolour the life ring to match the life vest. My favourite detail though is probably the dad hanging over the railing, as can be seen on the back of the box. Apparently the sea is a bit rough!

Bricklist notes: Our explorers have discovered a new location, and this time it's the jungle! Going to the jungle opened up a lot of possibilities for new animals, but also some recolours of our classic animals like is the case here. Originally this was going to have an eagle in it together with a mountain peak, but that was a bit hard to communicate so we went with the (arguably cooler) alligators instead. All sets have a map piece in it as well, which combine into a larger map with the entire area.

Bricklist notes: He's back! Having the jungle as the new setting meant that this was the perfect opportunity to bring back a classic hero; Johnny Thunder! Having grown up with the sets from themes like Orient Expedition it's like a dream come true to have him feature in a set that I designed. Full circle!

Of course, we shouldn't overlook the rest of the set, which besides the truck and the scenery also contains a brand new tiger in that great new orange colour! This set is probably my favourite out of the Jungle sets that I worked on, and I am very proud of it.

Bricklist notes: Emergency Ambulance to the rescue! In this case our poor skater has had a mishap on the ramp. Luckily the ambulance was close-by!

The ambulance has a similar system to the hamburger truck, where the vehicle can split into two chunks to make it easier to build for the age mark. I'm pretty happy with how the opening sides lined up with the rest of the vehicle using only a handful of elements as well. Oh, and all the decorated elements are printed!

Bricklist notes: It's the big race car ramp! Of course, we couldn't launch a bunch of soapbox racers without making something to race down from. In this case we decided to bring the race to the city itself. This model went through many loops as we needed to guarantee that it was not only buildable but also sturdy enough to be carried around whilst playing with it.

To make the soapboxes easier to build we also developed two new elements; a chassis and a new wheel. Having a strong chassis to build on meant I could design a lot more wacky builds, like the toilet included in this set!
