I want Knuckles for sure, but stopped buying the games at Sonic 3 so can live without the others.

Don't know any of them, but they look nice.
The printing makes it seem as if they're quadruple molded legs. Of course they aren't, but the effect is quite cool.

"This is like taking Duplo from a baby. Which is fine by me."

By in United States,

Honestly weird that Rouge has the most accurate head sculpt of the 23-24 new Sonic molds, though that's more surprise at how off model Amy and Tails are specifically, the simplifications to Knuckles are probably a necessity and Shadow's sculpt is passable.

I find it a bit surprising that Rouge is the first Sonic minifig outside the standard "big four + shadow" combo; while some people have noticed that the total Sonic theme minifig lineup is the main cast of Sonic Adventure 2 I am personally more of the mind that this is a continuation of the seeming initiative starting with Sonic Prime to upgrade Rouge to a main character. Granted, the theory would hold a little more water if Rouge were in her new alternate default outfit seen in Prime as opposed to her original one, but it's the nearest lead I have, aside from the inherent purpose of her character being a foil for Knuckles.

Bit worried about how Rouge's torso is gonna look 'in the plastic' (light colours printed on dark/black bricks aren't exactly TLG's strong point), but that aside these look utterly spot-on!

Very glad to see em pushing the boat out with all-new minifigs instead of just banking on Sonic/Tails/Amy/Eggman from the first wave again, utilising the "new molds per wave" restrictions to their fullest - looking forward to grabbing em all!

By in Portugal,

Knuckles' headgear looks weird.
But Shadow looks awesome.

Shame they didn't make these as a CMF series. Not really into buying whole sets just for one minifigure anymore.

Now we just need a barrel-chromed Metal Sonic.

@AustinPowers:
That illusion is easily dispelled by looking at the unprinted sides of the legs. Or the unprinted insides. Or the unprinted backs. I’m kinda just assuming on those last two, but I’ve never seen them do print on either, so seems a safe bet.

Waiting for a real image of the figures. They won't fool me with those renderings of perfect white prints on black and red parts.

By in United States,

I'm curious how Knuckles fists are attached. I would assume they are like the boxing gloves, but I could also see them using a cast like element with this picture. I thought I remembered seeing a rumor for a Knuckles polybag. If it's real, and for retail, I'll pick it up. Otherwise, I'll enjoy them from afar.

Eggman delaying production of Shadow is not surprising after what Shadow did to his wife.

At a guess it's TLG aiming to balance minifig genders a bit better in waves, rather than em being fully bloke-fests (a wholly good move in my eyes) - hence why Amy made it into wave 1 over Knux.

As for Rouge specifically, also tracks cos she's the most "easily present" lass in the series behind Amy - everyone else is either stuck behind specific circumstances (Blaze, Cream) or is mostly comics-exclusive at the mo (Tangle & Whisper, Surge, a bunch more cos IDW is single-handedly carrying here lol), which makes things a tad more difficult. Rouge, though? She can just rock up any day, job's a good un.

Hopefully we do get more of em popping up in future waves, granted - Blaze is a long-time fave so keeping my fingers crossed she's next on the list!

Not sure if Craigslist (Zone) is big on LEGO resale, but I'm sure he'll pop up there eventually, If you know what I'm saying...

There are only two sets currently rumored, and they are priced at $20 and $35. I believe Shadow is in the $20, but regardless it will be a nice entry level set.

I hope we get a brick-built E-123 Omega to accompany Shadow and Rouge. Sonic Heroes will always hold a special place in my heart…

This does tempt me to start getting the sonic minifgures.

Mario slumps, and dies just a little more.

More furries. Is this all Lego does, now?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'd say Rouge's skin colour is too light, but I'm being REALLY PICKY. These are all BRILLIANT! Although this has got me thinking, with Rouge and Shadow, I wonder if the set would include E-123 Omega too. That would be cool.

Not loving the direction LEGO is going with this, or the Animal Crossing stuff. It's less and less like LEGO and more and more like Fisher Price or Playmobil, but I hope they make lots of money off it so they can keep making the kind of large complex sets that an adult can enjoy too.

So Mario didn't get minifigures because not enough furries?

Bet Lego will put each of them in different sets so that you have to buy 3 sets to get them all.

LEGO should make an "& Knuckles" GWP!

Lol! No, no, noo...

Mario didn't get figs because some idiot at TLG decided that incorporating a crappy, 80s-level digital experience was more important.

My comment about furries is due to the prevalence of big-headed animal fig articles that are currently dominating the BS web page.

After 43 years, I never thought I’d ever say this, but it’s Rouge, not Rogue.

Rouge is... overpowered? Blech. It's just not the same."

What? No, because since 1980, 99.9% of all SW fans have been typing “Rouge Squadron” because they don’t know how to spell “rogue”. And here’s the inverse problem.

A sadistic part of me hopes that Mario minifigs don't happen, simply because it would be a wallet & space apocolypse.
