I wonder how close the skull is to Technic figure scale? Scala dolls?

Gravatar
By in United States,

SO MANY BABY DINOSAURS!! SO CUTE!! T-rex skull is also a must have

Gravatar
By in Australia,

they referenced the shadow the hedgehog game. I didnt think they would do that, but its pretty funny that they did.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That Shadow set looks good, although the scenery build looks a little odd. A roadblock and a containment unit?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Damn those cuties 76963 are so tempting but only the Pteranodon is really new.
Some more none predator dino´s would be nice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The fact we'll never get an official Cool, Cool Mountain Ledge set to compliment the Baby Penguin is...

...Probably a wise move on LEGO's part.

It looks like it would be fairly simple to convert the sliding slope into a catapult, if it's any consolation.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well, since you asked. No. None of these are even remotely interesting to me.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Swipe.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It even has the Shadow the Hedgehog symbol on the side of the bike… that’s hilarious.

The Super Mario sets are interesting; they seem to be positioned more explicitly as standalone models. I’m tempted to grab the marketplace one, despite avoiding the Mario theme more broadly.

Why does the character in the animal sanctuary have an axe? It doesn't seem to offer much sanctuary.

To cut the birch logs? Sanctuary is also made of them :)

Also if that cat is supposed to be a Siameese..Lego failed lol.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Both minecraft set are crazy good. Especialy for this price.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Why are there physical building instructions in the Super Mario lifestyle pictures? This theme always has app only instructions. False advertising perhaps?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ooooh but I do kinda want that skull though…

Gravatar
By in Germany,

2023. When you think a replica of dinosaur bones needs a pop license to sell.

You are wrong, only PTERANODON is not new.
All of the babies have new colors/prints.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The moment I saw those Mario Penguins, this is what came to mind;

That is but a taste of our fury! Do. You. Yield?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Maybe I'm late to the party, but are those physical Mario instruction booklets? I thought they were only digital these days through the LEGO Mario app or the lego.com instructions page!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

76963 = Baby Dinosaur Battle Pack™! :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

And, they said the helmet/head range was over. Now, I can have a Rex skull to sit beside Anakin's bucket.

Find which one fits best in its jaw!

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Goomba in 71430 is adorable with his little cap. And I'm tempted to get 76963, even if it is expensive, because while I have three of the four baby dino molds in the set, they do have new prints, and you can never have too many baby dinos. Also, I don't have the printed egg, and the only Pteranodons I have are the old Adventurers: Dino Island ones.

Ugggg mario. We need the last koopa kid. Before you cancel the line.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The best news for me so far concerning new 2024 products is 71045 Collectible Minifigure Series 25, which will sensationally bring back the goat, albeit without the printed spots on the sides.
Still, GOAT!

Is Darious the JW2 character that I kept hoping would get eaten by every single dinosaur, regardless of whether or not they were carnivores?

Gravatar

"Is Darious the JW2 character that I kept hoping would get eaten by every single dinosaur, regardless of whether or not they were carnivores?"

Nope! Darius is a character from Camp Cretaceous, and did not appear in JW2. His character arc can be annoying/questionable at times, but overall he's someone to root for.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

About the only reason I am interested in the JJCC set is due to the baby dinos but, those can be bought elsewhere. The Sonic sets are cool but nothing a must as of now.

Edit: the JWCC set would have been better with a baby Brachiosaurus (Firecracker) and thr Spinosinoceratops.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Really like the fossil skull and the baby dinosaur battlepack.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Trex skull is a winner, for me. I wonder how close the size is compared to the Trex Rampage model. They'd look pretty cool side by side...

Gravatar
By in United States,

PENGUINS!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I am more intrested in the build technique and scale for the sonc set. I want to see if there is a possibility I can convert it into a chopper for Ghost Rider

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Fossil set looks like a decent "terrain" parts pack as well (when done displaying it)

Gravatar
By in United States,

BABY PINK SHEEP!!!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Also confused by the photos of the physical Mario instructions. Having digital only instructions have limited our interest in Mario sets.

Still getting that Penguin day one. Really hope scanning it will play the penguin cry from Mario 64

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Really hope we get more Camp Cretaceous sets, as well as some more skulls to add to the collection

Gravatar
By in United States,

Shadow's Escape including a RhinoBot is a bit of a surprise. That particular enemy is from Sonic 3 and hasn't appeared in a Modern Sonic context before.

Bold of you to assume I won't drop the baby penguin off the table.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely want to pick up the T-Rex skull.
Even though it's too stumpy, should be longer in the snout but overall with the display and footprint build, would look nice on the shelf.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Does anyone still buy the Mario sets? Feel like they are overdone. Still waiting on a proper minifig scale release...

“Mario sets just aren’t selling well anymore. Guess we should just drop the license altogether…”

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The baby dinos battle pack wouldn’t be a bad set were it not for its very high price.

I get that it’s mostly because it’s a 4+ set but it doesn’t appear to contain any new moulds, so not warranted. I’ll wait for a hefty discount before I consider this one.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think the t-rex set especially really shows how far the package model rendering is from a physical photo. Some of the discrepancy can be explained by the lighting. But the colours do seem way off, and the physical set looks so much less like what’s promised on the packaging. I like the set idea though!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Nice to have a baby Ankylosaurus that is close in colour to the adult Ankylosaurus we have.
Now can we please get some more colours for the adult, and a STEGOSAURUS!!!

Damn my bad I seemed smaller like a kid

The set seems to be a strange (and awesome) amalgamation of three games. The bike from Shadow the Hedgehog, the roadblock (and background art) is very reminiscent of Shadow's first stage of Sonic Adventure 2, while the containment unit is similar to his opening scene in Sonic Heroes.

What the hell is in that basket on the Rex lifestyle shot?! Is that a Gwyneth Paltrow Goop jade vagina egg??!! C'mon Lego there are children and sensitive adults looking at this stuff. Don't force your California hippie dippy wellness crap on us! ;)

It’s not unusual for semiprecious stones to be cut and polished in the shape of eggs. The fact that Gwyneth Paltrow sells something that looks similar but is not a decorative item is incidental. Unprompted, I would have said that the egg is just a stone ornament. Maybe I’m just too innocent :~P

By in United States,

@StyleCounselor:
I see a typical onyx egg (about 2.5” diameter), which has been available as a tourist trinket in the American southwest and northern Mexico for decades. It isn’t obvious, but it appears slightly lopsided, indicating that it’s probably hand-carved rather than machined. Next to it is a ball of green rubber bands, and on the other side is a ball of black twine or cord of some sort (possibly waxed, but definitely not yarn). There’s also a few other stones that have been polished, possibly through natural processes. The veining makes it hard to tell if the one in the center is spherical or lumpy. There isn’t enough of the green one showing to tell what shape it is. The spotted one (lower right) and dark grey one (upper left) are definitely not manufactured shapes.

I don't think I want to hear any more about those "natural processes," and I definitely don't want to discuss it's 'lumpiness'!

By in Germany,

I find it interesting that 76995 only contains one character. This could mean that we will get two single character sets for the others in a similar price range, but since I can't really think of a small build that would work well for rouge, my prediction is that we will get a slightly larger Angel Island set, with both knuckles and rouge, rouge making it a combat-in-a-box-deal with an attempted master emerald heist...

By in United States,

These "lifestyle" pictures are even more ridiculous than the ones for the 18+, sorry, I mean "Icons" sets. I can remember a single point in my childhood where I calmly built a Lego set and then looked at it introspectively next to a basket of yarn and eggs.

@VBaskin:
Can you point to any other single source that capitalizes the G, but not the entire word? Portmanteaus don’t generally involve capitalizing the first letter of each component word (many don’t require any capitalization at all). I’m pretty sure I’ve run across a few, but I couldn’t cite them for you right now. Nobody writes “BiOnicle” or “BioNicle”, and TLG again styles it in all-caps with the “®” symbol afterwards.
