Agree. I was excited for a moment when I read there would be a buildable cassette player, but I don't think they could have come up with anything more plain/boring. Won't be spending any Insider points on that.

However, I'd like that mug & stamps set, but it's limited to themes I have no plan to spend money on. :(

Any idea what the mug is made of? Is it ceramic or plastic?

I read elsewhere that there was going to be a winter themed horse and carriage GWP - is there any truth in this rumour? Perhaps a later GWP offer before Christmas? Otherwise the only offer that appeals to me here is the double points.

I was totally on board for the Majisto set....until I saw the final product. What a shame. Bad build, extremely unnecessary stickers, really bad figures. It looks like 4+ Castle.

Disappointing overall. Maybe the market stall for me. I have the original Majistos so I don’t need this one. Where is unreleased Santa’s living room from last year?

Will take advantage of the double VIP points, but passing on the "discounted" sets. Specially when all of them can be found already with bigger discounts elsewhere.

How do codes work, how does one get them? never used them before. If I want to get the Ninjago set on the 18th (with the discount + the freebies), what would be the course of action?

£220 threshold is a little ridiculous in my opinion. The thresholds just only seem to get higher and higher each year :/

How likely is it that the 3x points sets sell out on the 17th? There are a couple I'd like to pick up on the 18th for the GWPs, but I might have to change up my plans if it's likely they'll no longer be available by the 18th.

why it couldn't have been £60 of 71799? £20 of 10315 is good. One or more gwps to shift, depending on what I decide to get. Shame you don't get points on pre-orders until dispatch. And I'll try again at the points competition and dream of winning.

Like the castle promo but I'd rather just buy it separate.

I'm thinking the same for the discounted sets. Not sure why they are being discounted a day early.

It does. And it also counts for buying threshold as long as there are no 'theme' requirements.
(when I buy directly from Lego, it's almost always PAB as most everything else can be had elsewhere cheaper)

Question for the discounted sets: Do you still get 2x VIP point if you use the Insider discount code? (I thought it was either/or kind of deal).

(Also let me know if there is a better deal for Eiffel Tower. I know the mixed reviews, but I need to complete the collection :D)

I imagine it is high due to the amount of stacking GWPs active at the same time.

That will work. (same is true for backorder - you receive your products at different dates)

Besides, to be sure, you put the pre-order in your basket - automatically, the cart will update with what you are entitled - so you will see right away what is coming your way before you decide to pay anything.

I was like "Yay a sale on Ninjago City!" oh but it's not the new one it's the one I already have. Oh well.

Best place to see the parts being retired (On November 17th) is on New Elementary. It is in the top menu (Last Chance PaB) and then you can click on each item for a direct link into Lego PaB. Many items are already gone... (I've done my 'last chance' PaB order as soon as I was aware of it and I did not get all what I wanted - I hope they will continue for forewarn customers in the future, it helps a lot).

I noticed on the US site there are sets that'll have 3x and even a couple with 4x Insiders Points! But, UK site doesn't show those (at least at the moment) - 'only' Double points. Have I missed something obvious about why that should be?
