Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 2
Posted by CapnRex101,
Iron Man emerged from the Advent Calendar on day one, so I am wondering whether a piece of Stark technology will join the minifigure today.
Find out below...
A seasonal rendition of the Quinjet arrives on day two, accurately recreating the aircraft's shape with only nineteen pieces. The proportions of this model are impressive and I like the adjustable winglets in particular. In addition, the Quinjet feels sturdy and thus perfect for play, which has not always been the case for microscale vehicles in Advent Calendars.
The white, red and pearl gold colour scheme is festive, but I wonder whether a conventional dark bluish grey design would have been more appealing. Regardless, I am very happy with today's offering and it definitely improves upon the equivalent microscale Quinjet from 76196 The Avengers Advent Calendar, from 2021.
Overall - This is an excellent model of the Quinjet and I like its Christmassy colour scheme.

If you remove the bonus bits like the flaps, cockpit and back engines, it looks like a dr robotnic/eggman face
I'm reminded of 4002019.
This must be the vehicle of choice for that weird depiction of Cyborg yesterday. IDK, I didn't read the Cyborg comics, if he did have his own series. And they didn't even stick to the same color scheme, as now there's copious amounts of white in there. Maybe it represents polished metal? Oh, and the trans. dark red actually does hint at his more common depiction.
It sure looks more christmas-y than yesterday's minifigure with the higher amount of white and a brighter red. But it's missing green. Maybe we'll get something green tomorrow?
It actually reminds me more of Harley Quinn than anything, but I doubt she'd have anything this advanced. And it's missing black. Maybe Batman hogged all the black (and very-very dark gray)?
In fact... this looks a bit like a bird in flight. But it couldn't be, right? Not again?
Joined Christmas & Marvel vibes in a cool build!
I am very content!

But then you'd have a Star Wars Advent Calendar.
Uh can y'all say "Mini Quadjet"?
...I guess it *could* be a quadjet, but the quadjet is a prototype quinjet. This is like asking whether a micro Y-wing is the Clone Wars or Rebellion version.
I would note that Disney films are increasingly lacking in solid iconography, which is why so many of the playsets end up being "blah." The Millennium Falcon is permanently recognizable. The Hoopty is just another generic ship.
This colourscheme makes me think of the "Avenjet" from 76049.
Third quinjet made by Lego this year!

Maybe it's one of those dinosaurs. You know, the ones with the silent "t"?
Segosaurus, maybe. Or Yrannosaurus Rex.
"
Segosaurus might be my next gamertag
What a pleasant surprise - the iconic Kangjet with appropriately festive Kangmas colors! A delightful little holiday ride for yesterday's Iron Kang, and no doubt a reference to Avengers 47: Kang The Halls.
Brilliant!
SECOND DOOR of the LIMBO MARBLES CHRISBUMPS NUMBER BOX is the SANTA PLANE! Now you can FLY, childs. FLY with all the avocados. I would.

Kang you guys continue this throughout the whole advent calendar, please and thank you.
Merry Christmas all!
Oh, it's a quinjet. My son and I had zero clue what it was supposed to be. I thought it was Thanos's warship or something. Thanks for the info, Brickset!

I Kang keep this up for as long as Marvel keeps releasing box office flops.
In the meantime, I'm happy with this calendar. Here's hoping we surpass the Guardians one.
