Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 4
Posted by CapnRex101,
Day three saw the arrival of Spider-Man, carrying two accessory holders, but without accessories to fit them. On that basis, the next item seems quite predictable.
Let's open the door and see...
As expected, day four presents a collection of web accessories. These would usually be quite disappointing, but the golden webs have actually only appeared once before, in 76195 Spider-Man's Drone Duel from 2021. Seeing them again is great and the pearl gold colour is suitable for the season, so perhaps Spider-Man is attempting to decorate with his webs!
The accessories slot neatly into Spider-Man's hands and this selection is excellent, although I would have liked to see a couple of pearl gold 1x1 cones and the like, so you can connect web elements together. At the moment, the basic web strands are not particularly useful because you cannot attach the larger webs to their ends.
Overall - Web accessories occupying a whole day is not ideal, but their golden colour is lovely and these elements are fairly rare.

This had to come at some point, right?
This color reminds me of golden orb weaver silk.
No idea what it has to do with Red Hood though. Maybe this is Clayface attacking him?
Spider Tinsel!
The images for this set showed the more conical webs stuck in white 2x2 radar dishes. Wonder when those will be making their appearance. And maybe when we get them, they'll come with something to attach sections of webbing together, because one of the images also shows that being done.

Best to get it out of the way on day 4.
This feels appropriate to leave here, given the minifigure of the last two days...

Not sure if this series of comments is genuine misunderstanding or attempted humor...
The fourth door in the LIMBO MARBLES CHRISBUMPS NUMBER BOX is... oh. Oh no. Look out for the GOLD NETS! They will take all your COIN.

He's doing a running gag that this is a badly-made DC Comics set.
The funny thing is that DC Comics has an entire alternate-universe of Marvel Expy characters. They're not as prominent as Marvel's alt-U DC characters, the Squadron Supreme (who are an obvious riff on the Justice League). They have Metalhead for Iron Man, the Bug for Spider-Man, the American Crusader for Captain America, and a couple of others.
True comic fans will recognize today's entry as a reference to Kang's web-sites across the multiverse. Yesterday's Spider-Kang is really just an IT guy - surfin' the web, so to speak, and telling every single chat forum about the glories of Kang. He's a regular on Kangset, Kangshelf, New Kanglementary, and even Kanglink!
For more awesome lore, I would recommend you watch Avengers 72: Ready Player Kang - available on Kangsney+ sometime soon.
A few days ago, Friends gave us what comes out of a dog’s butt, and today, Marvel does the same thing for spiders.
@Ridgeheart:
Also, you’ll die rich.
So is this Marvels version of a weapon stand from Star Wars?
THWIP!
Spider-kang has the midas touch!
Much would have like a different minifig, and just put a couple of these in the Spider-Man that was yesterdays…
Feels little cheap when they do this.
