Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 8
Posted by CapnRex101,Days two and three brought the arrival of items from Honeydukes, while the last two days have focused on Zonko's Joke Shop, so I imagine we will see another shift in attention today.
Let's see what arrives next...
A pattern is emerging in this Advent Calendar, as two models from one of Hogsmeade's shops are followed by a model based outdoors and including a new printed piece! This signpost to Hogwarts would be rather dull were it not for the decorated 1x4 tile, which matches the style of signage from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter parks perfectly.
Overall - This signpost looks superb, albeit primarily because of the exclusive printed tile.

Yeah, of course! I know for sure it's the opposite way!
Not sure what 'Hogwarts' on a foot on a pole has to do with LOTR, but I'm a sure it's a reference to a scene in the Silmarillion or something.
Strawgoh does sound more like something from there though.

It's from that episode they sent Picard to destroy the Death Star.
@Ridgeheart so, is it a reverse Oreo? Like, Hanuta?

"And also, "really useful prints". Okay, I like that."
Minifigs and printed parts are the main selling point of every HPAC. Though, to be fair, I did get an extra ten copies of the first one mainly to amass a forest of trees for a project that I still haven’t started building.
Wow. I’m not a Wizarding World fan, but I do envy the WW their seeming abundance of printed elements (aside from figure parts) in their ACs. I wish the SW ACs were so blessed.
I'm sure The Mandalorian would argue that this is the way, not that way.

I could be wrong, but I imagine this piece will show up somewhere else at some point and that it wasn't designed for this calendar. It's a lot easier to reuse scenery prints like this than it would be for SW calendars, which are so dominated by microbuilds (at a different scale, even, than standalone microbuilds tend to be).
"Point me!"
@RogueWhistler:
There has been, I think, at least one instance of a rare printed part appearing in the HPAC, but I can’t think of a single instance of an original print from an HPAC showing up again elsewhere. Some, like the Privet Drive sign, can otherwise be found as stickered parts, but not printed. As I said, printed parts are a major draw of the HPAC, since they are exclusive.
