Next micro Ninjago City set revealed!
Posted by Huw,
Images of the second of four micro renditions of Ninjago City sets, 40704 Micro NINJAGO Docks, have been uploaded to LEGO.com.
It's not clear yet whether it'll be available in exchange for points in the Insiders reward centre like the first one is, or as a gift with purchase, as suggested on the LEGO.com product page.
The 275-piece mini rendition of 70657 NINJAGO City Docks will connect to the first one, 40703 Micro NINJAGO City, which, to my surprise, is still available, so now might be a good time to secure that one if you intend to get a full set.

Bit insane to offer these sets so quickly. How on earth could you safe 4x2700 points in a few months time?
Also, this one looks a lot smaller than Ninjago City
Looking at the aftermarket prices, your probably better off just paying for them there then having to spend like 4x the money just to get the threshold
I hope they release them with, at least, 6 months in between.........
"Boat does not float" - thanks, but no thanks!

Depends on whether or not you have points saved up already.

Like the actual set itself
40703 also has a product page that describes it as a gift with purchase, so I wouldn't expect this one to be distributed any differently from the first one.
This looks just as bad as the full size version
I agree that this one is a bit less attractive than the first. But, I suppose I'm already in for the ride... hope this boat floats. :/
Where's the mini 70656?
@Huw, I cashed in points for a code to get the first one, and a few days later saw that there was a “10-day” countdown until it would be available. Turns out, they’ll let you get it more than once, but they put a time delay on when you can get your second copy. Prevents scalpers from scooping them all up en masse, but allows interested parties to clean out stock that’s not moving. I’ll be interested to see if this becomes a regular solution.

Start with 10,000+ points. By the time you’ve placed orders to get the first three shipped, you have picked up the difference for the fourth.
What do you mean it doesn't float? I know it does, but the only down-side is that it will capsize.
Game on! That picture is enough to start a parts list xD to be completed whenever I see pictures of the full inventory

We got the first ond two months too late, I think it's lego's intention to release one every 3 months so that be January (but it was March), April, September and December
But the first one didn't have any exclusive parts so I built it from my own pieces (and a few I had to order) and is my intention to do the same with the rest xD but I expect to be missing so many pieces for the last one that it might be worth spending the points
At excellent price free with $500 purchase.
The first one still hasn’t shown up in the Rewards Centre for Australia… beginning to wonder if it ever will.

It was in New Zealand a week or so ago.

It was briefly available in Australia, at least on the 14th of March when I was able to redeem it.
I'm still yet to receive it though since I used the code on an order, it didn't add to cart properly and didn't attach to the order even though their chat person said it would.
Had to ring up once I got my order sans this set, after more than a week of that order being "under review" the order has shipped finally, so hopefully I'll see it this week.
That said, I don't understand why it's there then gone and apparently available again on the 1st..
If you want it, check back at random times across days and you might get lucky like I did.

The full size version is the only one, I think, looks good, although these mini-builds are pretty meh...
I am so glad I have the big ones and don't have the need to get these.

It was there about 2 weeks ago. As someone else mentioned, code didn’t work, but after some faffing with customer service, mines on the way

That's what I was thinking. I haven't played with Lego in the sink since I was a kid, but yeah, Lego floats unless weighed down. Which is why those Lego pieces from that shipment that got blown off a container ship in the 1997 are still washing up in Cornwall, England.
Have often wondered why the original sets on which these are based have not been re-released, as they’re LEGO’s own IP.
Can't rely on Lego Australia for these. I redeemed the code for the Ninjago Micro City and went to claim it in my order the next day and they were sold out. I didn't think they could do that.
So, I missed out and now need to try get my points refunded.
The quality of Lego Australia has gone downhill very very fast...... don't even get me started on the quality of packing!

Aw man are you serious?! I’ve been checking the rewards centre every day (sometimes multiple times a day) since it “should” have become available but never saw it. :( Big sad, though it seems like getting it has not been a smooth process for either of you.
Not interested in these micro builds at all. How about re releasing the first two Ninjago City sets for those of us who missed out earlier?

Polyethylene (“Plants From Plants”) parts will always float. ABS parts will float until all the air bubbles get knocked free and/or dissolve into the surrounding water, at which point they do in fact sink. I built 6250 as an aquarium decoration, and it was a thoroughly messy affair. I had to submerge each part, knock all the bubbles free, and then attach it to the model underwater. All while working alone from paper instructions in a carpeted apartment.
