By in Germany,

I would be unable to differentiate between this ice palace and all the previous ones from the top of my head. Elsa sure likes comformity.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Um, one why so soon with Casita, and Luisa well let's say she doesn't have the right proportions. Dragon form is disappointing. Also Ariel don't look to good

Gravatar
By in United States,

The dragon is pretty, pretty good.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I want that dragon! The rest, easy pass…edit..maybe Simba too

Gravatar
By in Australia,

So that's about Elsa's 400th Ice Palace, then?

I feel like, I only just bought the last Encanto house, and this one is a lot bigger and thusly will be hugely more expensive, so I can safely pass on that one.

On the other hand, I absolutely ADORE the Sleeping Beauty set with Prince Phillip and the dragon. That'll be a day one purchase.

And I really like the Disney Advent Calendar, for the end of the year. It looks like a lot of actual building, involved, so sign me up!

By in New Zealand,

Snow White is using the box intended to hold her BLEEDING HEART as a jewellery box! Total power move.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Is that a whale car? For use under water? I guess I'm just too old for this shit....

Fully agree. That dragon is going to be highly demmanded.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Even before I opened the article, I knew there would be another ice castle.

Let it go, Lego. Let it go.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yep, I need Simba and Casita RIGHT NOW

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Quality of many Disney sets has gone down tremendously - encanto/Ariel sets look boring and a little ugly at parts, blue box art is also super ugly! The mini dolls look great though! I like that they are slowly going back to the old face designs. The dragon and simba look decent

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Simba is actually super cute!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

We are getting a bigger 18+ set with Huge dragon and Minifg aurora and prince.
STill I LOVE this one.
They Did Stitch DIRTY, That Simba is not only WAY better build its also way cheaper.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Capybara!
Worth it for that alone.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'll wait for the UCS Simba.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Simba looks incredibly realistic.

As for the ice palace, I'm glad I brought 43197-1, with bonus extra pieces which makes me question that I've followed the instructions properly, every time.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Like the new Madrigal house. Will combine nicely with the first one.

Also, Simba looks really good.

And Elsa's ice palace seems to be the Disney equivalent of the City police and fire stations.

Girl's gonna kick ass!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The disappointment I feel over the Maleficent Dragon not including minifigures, ugh. I preferred the leak from last year where it was more of a diorama in style.

However, the Madrigal House almost makes up for it, it is marvelous! I love that every grandchild is included and the house looks so much better than the previous one. That’s a must have!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m not a fan of minidolls, but dang. That Maleficent dragon is tempting…

Gravatar
By in United States,

The first Casita was one of the best sets over gotten in a while. I like this one, although wish there were more of the colorful masonry bricks

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Simba was downgraded an simplified a lot.

Wasn’t the Malifecent Dragon not once a diorama/vignette. Also downscaled a lot.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Not amazing if you ask me, but I'll definitely be Bricklinking the Capybara.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Shame that the leaked Malifecent Dragon has been ruined.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Man, nothing for me yay!!!

We are still Getting that. Same with 18+ Simba.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Meh. The Disney stuff is usually meh, with the rare standouts. Nothing like that here.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Simba and Maleficent pale in comparison to what leaked a year ago lol

Gravatar
By in United States,

Luisa should be a bigfig ^_^

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

THAT SIMBA.

Yes, he looks a bit goofy for being brick-built. Doesn't stop me from loving the set even so; he's cute despite that. I hope he's not going to turn out too expensive.

Dragon Maleficent looks pretty nice too. The classic princess movies aren't my favourites so I probably wouldn't get her even if I was a bigger Lego spender at present, but I do like the way she turned out.

The others I'm pretty neutral about, as per usual.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Simba one is really really good. It’s cute. I like the look of the Maleficent Dragon.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Where's Bruno?

Gravatar
By in United States,

If Malefecent's Dragon Form had also included Malefecent and maybe, instead of the cutesy building at least a good scary tower, it would have been a definitive must-buy.

How many cutesy castle builds and parts do my girls need? Well, the answer is infinite, but I guess a better question is how many do I want to buy for them? And the answer to that is, well, not a whole lot more.

We don’t talk about Bruno.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Missing images to the Princess Advent Calendar and mini Sleeping Beauty Castle (Disneyland). They’re up on Lego website

Gravatar
By in United States,

Where’s 43247?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I definitely want a Maleficent dragon to pair with my Sorcerer Mickey CMF for a small Fantasmic display but I don't have a use for the kid castle. Oh well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Simba...NEEDS MORE PUMBAA!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Simba, Sleeping Beauty and the Encanto house are solid sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Luisa should have been twice as wide as any of the other minidolls.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Maleficent dragon is incredible! I really expected more from the Madrigal house, though. It looks good but something seems off. The gaps between the three "towers" really ruin the build for me. I wish it had some more depth and creative arrangement to replicate the house's shape from the movie without making a giant courtyard in the middle of it.

True though I’m not entirely convinced by its proportions that are stockier than shown in this profile view. You can see what I mean using the rotatable image on the LEGO site. Also, the gap between the body and the base of the tail is wider than I’d like. It’s a cool dragon but I’m not completely sold at £60.

Has that been confirmed or is there any evidence of that? If true, it would be great if LEGO gave us a choice between a smaller, simpler, cheaper version and a large and detailed but more expensive one.

By in United Kingdom,

I'm only here to comment that it feels like we've had 15 or so ice palaces.

...very relieved to read I'm not alone.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm excited to finally see 43240 - I've been looking forward to this release. I'd been hoping for quite some time that there'd be a set with Maleficent in Dragon form at some point, and finally there is! :)

Also really happy to have another Villain in minidoll form appear - we see you 43276 Evil Queen! Keep them coming - we still need a Gaston and/or Hans please :D

"No one builds like Gaston!"

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Is this Ariel based on the Live action version, or on something else? The costume and especially the bright hair color seem a bit weird and cartoony to me.

The Maleficent dragon looks great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

$160 for that Madrigal house is insane. It's a pile of plastic! Think of the other things you can buy for $160 with electronics and complex moving parts. It's molded plastic!

I've heard there's an upcoming Disney Jr. show been announced recently that stars a younger pre-movie Ariel; that seems to be what these particular sets are based on. Looks like they're taking some design cues from both the recent live action version and some from the original animated version (e.g. the classic looking Sebastian and Flounder in those sets) and mixing them together.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Elsa's ice palace is the new X-wing.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I like that dragon; I would have really liked it in a diorama set??

The dragon battle leaked in January from some toy retailer catalogue. It had compelty different Malleficent Dragon fully finished.

By in United States,

43240 BLACK AND PURPLE DRAGON :o I think it'd look better if the wings were a little bigger, but I approve! :D

Other standouts are 43243 (though the build isn't my cup of tea personally, I imagine a lot of people will like this one given The Lion King's enduring popularity), and 43245.
