LEGO announces new DC sets!

LEGO has published official images of four new DC sets, including the much-anticipated 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze, inspired by Batman: The Animated Series!
These sets will be released on the 1st of June in Europe and the 1st of August in North America.

TAS Batmobile??? Yes please! A bit pricey, but maybe it's bigger than it looks?
Obviously £42.99 didn't put people off last year so why not try £54.99 for a Batmobile!

Haters gonna hate and the price is too high, but I do like the fact that we're getting a pretty good model of the BTAS Batmobile and a nice big model of the Batpod as a retail set.
Good to see more DC sets than various Batman vehicles and Batcaves... oh. Never mind.
I was hoping they'd at least do a Superman mech. At least something more than Batman Lego!
(The Batmobile is good though.)
Interesting seeing a new Batpod. I like the exclusive version better, but this looks pretty solid. If I didn't have the other one I would definitely consider this one.
The batmobile looks solid and the figures look good. But yeah, I'm going to need to wait on a sale if I ever find one.
Interesting LEGO decided to do a BTAS Batmobile in toy colors rather than in animation colors, but I think it works well here. Prices for LEGO Batmobiles have been creeping up rapidly, though. This is ten bucks more than last year's 1989 Batmobile and it appears to have a similar amount of plastic.
Only Bruce Wayne can afford those sets.

I like that Batpod.....but the figure that goes with it looks just plain bizarre....

Well, I guess I might give up on my dream of acquiring a version of every TV/Film Batmobile made by LEGO. They really missed the mark with that shade of blue (although I'm not sure how else they could have done it) and that price is a joke.
What on *earth* is going on with those set names, I know SEO runs the net these days but they could at least try and dial it down from “Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze” a bit surely

I get it, I just miss sets that had figures like Gorilla Grodd or Captain Cold.

Finally getting DC mechanic! If they do one for the Flash then that'll be an instant buy!
The 4+ set is definitely not what I want out of a Lego Batman set, but I do like how the half-exposed studs at the front of Joker's car make it look like it has little eyes between the hood "hair" and the smile tile.
I like that the stud shooters are easily removable from the BTAS Batmobile.

I like the new Batmobile based on the animated series, but the rest of these are depressingly bad. This theme seems like it's on life support, unfortunately.
Absolutely adore that Batpod. The Batmobile looks excellent but the price is way too high.
I'm in for the Batmobile, despite the blue coloring and the price. Also a bit irked that this and 76188 have a plaque but 76239 and 76224 don't. I really like the Batpod but the figure is terrible. No chance I'm paying $75 for the bike.
I'm still hoping for a Batmobile set with the Suicide Squad Harley, currently exclusive of the Apocalypseburg set. The price people ask for her minifig is even more insane than some SW figures.
Also, it is past time for the DC Super Heroes theme be renamed back to Batman theme.

the only problem i have with the TAS Batmobile is that the "finns" or wings are too long. MOC builds are much better in comparison.

76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze is another maybe. BTAS is awesome, but I’m not sure the style fits with the DC sets I currently have.

That Batman Mech makes sense.
Perfect choice to use the two B:TAS villains whose legacies were shaped the most by that show. That minifig dome helmet comes far too late, but glad it's finally debuting on the right character.
Why the heck have they gone with blue for the Batmobile? Animated series always showed it as being black, though admittedly with a blue sheen so that it didn't appear flat. Its far too bright and far too expensive for what you get as well.
Not a fan of any of these.
They could’ve gone blue or black for the Batmobile depending on how you look at the animated series, but I think this is a good choice to differentiate from other Batmobiles. If anything I’d prefer an even darker blue.
I'm lovin' all of these.
- The animated series Batmobile is a must get for me but dang, a bit too high. I'll wait on the Amazon sale down the road. Looks nice and art-deco style.
- Batpod is cool. But the Batman figure's head again is too large. Found a brickbuilt head from a moc builder years back that seems it'll work better. I'll copy that to swap out.
- That 4+ is a great full set for kids for play. Just excellent vehicles and figures here. Great way to jump start a new young Lego builder.
- And I'm diggin' the Bat-Mech. Reasonably priced too.
It's an interesting Batmobile....& a bunch of stuff seen many, many times before

Is it possible to be both happy and disappointed? Because that's how I feel. I love more Batman lego sets. Love it! Not to say I don't wish they did other dc heroes too, but come on, it's Batman! However, these set choices don't exactly make me happy(except for the Batmobile, I'm definitely getting that!)
A mech is an exciting little set I want, I just wish it wasn't the same boring batman torso we've been getting since 2012. The batpod with buildable Batman, I couldn't care less for, even if it is dark knight trilogy.
And while I suppose a juniors (sorry, 4+) set a year keeps the young ones coming back, it just seems like a waste of bricks(and a dc set) to charge $35 for it. Love that it has batgirl though.
Anyone else tired of only a few dc sets a year that do nothing but give us more Bat vehicles?
When I saw the article on the home page, before I even clicked on it, I thought, "DC? Does this mean something other than Batman?" It's a good thing I knew better than to get my hopes up. Although I do have to say that 76270 makes more sense than the other character mechs they've done, as Batman has used mech suits in the comics. And it's not the first Batman mech they've done. 76026 was even a stand-alone set, not part of a recurring theme.

I wondered what you meant the first time. Topic for discussion: Would a Flash mech make sense or not? Sure the Flash doesn't have super-strength, but he can put his super-speed to use in some pretty creative ways.
This whole wave should have been BTAS. What a shame.
Is there a reason this Batmobile runs on DIESEL fuel? At least that afterburner should come in handy to burn off the belching clouds of black smoke as it tries to accelerate up a steep hill.

Well, if Thor and the Hulk can get them I suppose Supes can too.
It’d be nice if we could get a BTAS Batgirl.
Odd that we're already getting another Batman action figure a year later just to give it a bike, but I suppose LEGO did the same with a bunch of the '08 BIONICLE figures and Furno back in the day. Although in those cases it was the same year and the action figure only used like $10 of the sets parts... so yeah still odd. Cool, but odd.

Yeah, I would've like the dark blue more.
Ok that’s generally a great design on BTAS but he only needs a black neck area on the head piece so a huge chin can stick out!
I’ll be swapping all that blue for black and refining the guns and maybe more…
So glad Mr Freeze and Harley are included, I hope we get more!
Ok Mr Freeze and Batgirl forgot their boots among other things!
If you represent popular characters at these prices I think boots should be included.
I'm starting to regret not picking up many of the previous DC sets or CMF. Maybe it will see a resurgence with the new DC franchise films.
I’ll be waiting for the Batmobile to go on sale and also looking to modify it into a two-seater but I like the dark blue, it really pops

Cmon TLG, you could’ve made DC sets with other unrepresented JLA members in it this time around. No need to rely on films or series. There’s plenty of comic books to source. Explore it! Then, you might get to my pocket. This stuff is redundant IMO.
