Movie Cars that need to be made into Speed Champions
Posted by Huw,
This week's guest author is Oliver Angelo who has written this article for your perusal:
Ever since LEGO released its first Speed Champion movie cars I have been thinking about possible candidates for the line. I love the magic of movies, cars and LEGO building; making Speed Champions my favourite theme.
I am therefore very proud to share my thoughts with you in my first Brickset article which covered vehicles in movies. Those in TV shows will be featured in a future article.
Austin Powers: “Shaguar” E-Type
Minifigure(s): Austin Powers
This Union Jack clad Jaguar E-type would definitely be a fun build, but the source material is full of raunchy humour that probably makes it unsuitable for a children's model!
Source: fandom.com
Back to the Future: Delorean
Minifigure(s): Marty Mcfly, Doc Brown
We've had several versions of this iconic vehicle but an 8-wide one, leveraging the full potential of the current parts palette, would be awesome.
Source: wikipedia.com
Bullitt: 1968 Mustang GT 360
Minifigure(s): Bullitt
It seems like with every LEGO Mustang there is always someone in the comments asking, “Why is it not green?”. Now it’s their chance!
Source: fordauthority.com
Dumb and Dumber: “Shaggin’ Wagon”
Minifigure(s): Lloyd Christmas, Harry Dunne
This car is super “unique” and recognisable from Dumb and Dumber. It always makes me laugh when it is on-screen.
Source: melmagazine.com
Fast and Furious: 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV
Minifigure(s): Brian O’Connor
I am surprised LEGO did not release this car alongside the Dodge Charger two years ago. I think this car is totally fair game.
Source: fandom.com
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Ferrari Modena GT Spyder California
Minifigure(s): Ferris Bueller, Cameron, Salone
This car facilitates the fun on Ferris’s day off but gets destroyed by the end of the movie. This Ferrari looks quite different to others made to day., which might count in its favour.
Source: continentalautosports.com
Ghostbusters: Ecto-1
Minifigure(s): Peter Vinkanman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore
This car has been made in minifigure scale twice, but both times it's been oversized, so I'd still like a proper 'Speed Champions'-scale one.
Source: fandom.com
Herbie the Love Bug: Volkswagen Beetle
Minifigure(s): Dean Jones
Speed Champions has never had a proper Volkswagen or Disney car in the lineup. This seems like the perfect start.
Source: D23.com
James Bond: Lotus Esprit
Minifigure(s): James Bond
The Lotus Esprit will always be 007’s second most iconic car, so why not make it his second Speed Champions model?
Source: 007.com
Smokey and the Bandit: Pontiac Firebird Trans AM
Minifigure(s): Bandit
No movie car seems more beloved than the Bandit’s Pontiac. The old Georgia State Flag that appears on the front license plate in the original movie is quite controversial, which will need to be omitted if LEGO were to produce it.

Thank you for reading! If I missed your favourite movie car please comment below. I'll write about TV cars next.

I'd really love Back to the Future and Ghostbusters getting the Speed Champions treatment despite the existing sets. A Volkswagen Beetle would be cool too, tho I'd prefer a "classic" one over a licensed set.
Shaguar?
Yeah baby, yeah!
the A-team van, KITT from the Knight Rider, the Blues Brothers with their car just some cars that pop up in my mind (tv-series cars are just as important as movie cars)
I’d like to see the original mad max v8 interceptor.
Cars I would like to see as Speed Champions (if for some of them only to compare them to the unlicensed ones we already have):
K.I.T.T.
A-Team Van
Magnum's Ferrari 308 (preferably bundled with TC's Chopper)
Colt Seavers' GMC Pickup
Miami Vice Ferraris (Daytona and Testarossa twin pack)
And last but not least:
The transforming supercar from Condorman
Peugeot 406 (Taxi)
Peugeot 405 (Climb Dance)
Dodge Challenger (Vanishing Point)
Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 (Initial D)
AMC Pacer (Wayne's World)
Trans Am 20000 WR (Redline)
Dodge Monaco "Bluesmobile" (Blues Bother")
Catbus (Neighbor Totoro)
Plymouth Fury (Christine)
Pussy Wagon (Kill Bill)
6000 SUX (Robocop)
Dodge Charger "General Lee" (The Dukes of Hazzard)
Truck-kun (every damn isekai....)
Just any Molcar (Pui Pui Molcar)
The car from Big Lebowski, Speed Racer, Jurassic Park car, Miami Vice, Magnum P.I. , Breaking Bad van, Arrested Development stairways car, Dukes of Hazard
As stated at the bottom, TV cars will be covered in the next installment!
Bessie from Doctor Who.

In the last sentence. :-/
The 007 Lotus Esprit would fit better into the Creator Expert line.
HSV Maloo Speed Champions car. I need it
@WizardOfOss
They should make Truck-kun a 2 pack. Daihatsu Hijet and a Toyota Tundra
I NEED a Lotus Esprit with a Roger Moore figure. Bonus points if it includes a fish as the accessory.
Just ordered a couple of MOC instructions from Rebrickable for a great looking 8 studs wide Delorean (after being so disappointed by the Ideas version) and one of Wet Nellie (Lotus Espirit). That’s the benefit of the MOCing community- they make what Lego don’t / can’t / won’t :)

Was that in there from the beginning? I read the entire article before commenting, yet I can't remember that sentence being there.
Lego could make a whole separate theme just with Mad Max cars
The names of Ghostbusters Peter Vinkanman and Winston Zeddemore are spelled wrong. They should be Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddmore.
There is another ... iconic movie car ... Pu$$y Wagon from kill bill lol
I was expecting a lot more movie tie in vehicles from the Speed Champions theme since James Bond was released 2 tears ago. 007 alone could be a full range
Ghostbusters and Back to the Future, how have these not been produced yet in this theme.
Although not for me, Herbie seems like a no brainer.

I know but it might be a bit too much for Lego.
What about Interceptor V8 from Mad Max?
I'd just like to see Han's main car from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Gotta finish the trio of original cars from the first three films.
@chrisaw said:

Fish scene was insane. However, I would love an Esprit as the 8 wide Speed Champions car. The funniest thing is that Moore played in the most Bonds and was the only Bond who never drove an Aston Martin. From the Bond Astons in Speed Champions, it would be nice to see also the Vantage and DBS.
Personally I prefer the Lotus in Pretty Woman to the Lotus in James Bond. But I doubt they'd ever sell the toy of a car from a movie about a man who falls in love with a prostitute.
As a massive Speed Champions fan, I agree with most of these. The ones I want particularly out of this list are Austin Powers' shaguar, and the Ecto-1.

I vote for Bandits Trans Am!

And yet, ironically, that film was marketed as a cosy, middle-of-the-road, Disney romantic comedy.
The eponymous 1958 Plymouth Fury from 'Christine'.

LEGO wouldn't touch the Confederate flag in 2024, so that last one is a no-go.
The Pursuit Special would absolutely be my choice, but I think a new play-scale DeLorean could really improve over the Cuusoo version.
I miss my own classic car in this list, a late 1970s Porsche 928. Movie car in “Scarface” and “Risky Business”. The round characteristics will be a challenge in Lego.
Yes please to the Bandit Trans-Am.
Also yes to the Bluesmobile, the XB Falcon from Mad Max (its about the only thing LEGO could ever do that would get me to buy something with a blue oval on it :) and the James Bond Lotus submarine.
And the other one I want that hasn't yet been mentioned by anyone else is the Black Lamborghini Countach from the opening scene of Canonball Run.
Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds. And the few other classic muscle cars mentioned above.

So many suggestions for license I don't think Lego would ever touch in these comments. Anyway, I've already said, multiple times, that I'd love a Speed Champions Herbie. Also, "the last of the V8 Interceptors" hadn't occured to me before, but I just re-watched the Mad Max movies, and the whole time, I was thinking, "That thing would make an awesome Speed Champions car." Something no-one's suggested yet: How about Lola from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Be fun comparing it to 10321, and it wouldn't be the first car model we've gotten in both Speed Champs and Creator Expert/Icons.

Man, would I love to see a Herbie model!
Mr bean’s mini cooper
I’ve actually been holding off on the UCS DeLorean just because I’m praying that LEGO would make one in Speed Champions scale. Otherwise, Mr Bean’s Mini Cooper or Ferris Bueller’s Ferrari would be nice to have as sets.
Same with the V8 Interceptor from Mad Max, but that seems highly implausible.
Great suggestions.
I would like a fleet of Mini coopers from Italian Job. I know the previous version from 75894 is not 8 wide but I thought that was a great replica of the Mini. I was hoping Lego would release more colors and variations after its release.

Been holding out hope against all odds for the Condorman car since Speed Champions began and thought I was the only one! A 2.5 pack with the nova, truck shell, and a Porsche would be perfect.
TV cars -
KITT
Fab 1
any amount of top gear vehicles?
... im out of ideas. I need to watch more shows. May I suggest for the next article inclusion of more modern TV shows too?
A few others. KITT from knight rider, the A Team van, the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Mr Beans mini cooper,
After building the car from 77012 I realized that there are a lot of vintage cars from the 1920's and 30's that would be fun to build.
Buick Roadmaster from the Rain Man.
The Dodge Charger from Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (including a Susan George minifigure of course!)
And, obviously, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Not forgetting.....
This car is automatic
It's systematic
It's hydromatic
Why it's Grease Lightning
I believe the Sunbeam Tiger or Sunbeam Alpine would make a great Speed Champions set.
Nothing with “shag” in the name is getting a LEGO set.
I actually built the Ferris Bueller Fauxrari at The Henry Ford Museum, while sitting next to one of the three custom cars that they had produced for the bulk of filming (they also shot with a real one, but they’re so rare and expensive that they could only afford to rent one for a day to shoot closeups of the badges and other details). To get the tailfins right, I had to use a pair of the original headlight plates with the thin flange. It was a shockingly difficult car to model, and I still couldn’t work in the space where Cameron sits behind the actual seats because a key bracket didn’t exist in red.
I’ve designed a vintage-style Beetle (it’s a mix of at least two different years to blend some of the details that are easier to model), but I stopped short of making Herbie. I’d love to, but I use 1x2 rail plates to achieve some of the contours, and two of them sit right where the stripes go. If I can figure out an alternative part that’s only one stud wide, this would become an easy thing to model.
The DeLorean has been released in effectively-10-wide, Dimensions, and Icons, but I’d really like to make a smaller version. I might have attempted this for 2015, but my employer relocated and there was a vacation hold for June, so I was unable to attend Brickworld that year.
Now, the Ecto-1 gets messy. I know they did a 10-wide version of the original 1984 vehicle, as well as a Dimensions pack that’s likely based on the same one (but hard to prove at that scale). They also did whatever vehicle was used in the failed reboot from 2016. The Icons set is supposed to work for both the 1984 version and Afterlife, but I’ve not compared those to see how accurate the new car was. And then there’s Ghostbusters 2, which is pictured in the original Ideas instruction book, but is most definitely not the car you build with that set. Somehow, they must not have had the original cars available to film the sequel with, so they made new screen cars that don’t match. If they ever did a Speed Champions version, it’d be nice if they could do an alt build to switch it between the GB and GB2 looks, including the noticeably different arrangement of headlights.
In terms of relevance, I think a lot of those would be out. Fast and Furious cars could maybe work, depending.
The Bandit's Trans Am likely wouldn't be picked, but they could probably do the Stranger Things version (that might have been a Firebird, but it's basically the same car). I understand that's TV and it may get discussed in the next installment, but I figure it compares to Bandit's vehicle.
Finally somebody agrees on Herbie!
@sjr60: I thought of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as well (did you know that the book that was based on was written by Ian Fleming?) but I think that would work better as Icons or Ideas. Speed Champions doesn't lend itself well, IMHO, to vehicles that can be reconfigured.
Lightning McQueen and mater! How are they not on the list?

"but I think that would work better as Icons or Ideas. Speed Champions doesn't lend itself well, IMHO, to vehicles that can be reconfigured."
I'd be happy with an Icons and a Speed Champs version. The SC version could just have clip on wings for an alternate display. The Icons version could go the whole hog!
Some of these vehicles aren't known because of their speed
A movie/TV vehicle series would make more sense

Personally I'd prefer the version from Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Ideally they would make a set with extra parts so we can choose, like they did with the Back to the Future Delorean.

I am honestly surprised the IP holders of Dukes of Hazzard haven't rebooted the series with a "not General Lee" version of that car yet. It's too iconic of a car from its cinematic jumps and chases to really fade away completely regardless of its Confederate namesake and flag. But until then, yeah LEGO ain't touching that. Dukes of Hazzard exists in an odd moment of history where there was a "playful rebel" nostalgia on Confederate iconography that just hasn't aged well, even if it was intended to be inoffensive at the time.
Some might say that there are too many cars in the world and their glorification & ubiquity in films & LEGO leads to less walkable & more dangerous towns & cities.

I like the way you think. Here's my list:
- Thomas the Tank Engine (a generic blue LB&SC E2 would do to,, if they can't get the rights!)
- BTTF time train - we've been needing this for around a decade.
- Jupiter and 119 from Cecile B. DeMille's epic 'Union Pacific' about the transcontinental railroad
- Flying Scotsman (too many films to mention, and no, 10194 doesn't count as the Scotsman)
- the armored train from 'Castle in the Sky'
- the train (or even the station) from the film 'Hugo'
- classic bumblebee-painted narrow gauge steam loco from 'Denver and Rio Grande'
- Polar Express + add on coach packs (think like Santa Fe)
- NYC 20th Century limited from 'North by Northwest'
- The Pioneer Zephyr from 'Silver Streak' (NOT the 1970's film!)
- Shacks' Train / The 19 from 'Emperor of the North'
- NW J-class 611 from 'October Sky'
- GS-4 Daylight 4449 from 'Tough Guys'
I may have missed a few, apologies in advance!
From Cannonball Run.
1980 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S - black.
1978 Dodge Sportsman - ambulance livery.
1978 Ferrari 308 GTS.
1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
1980 Subaru DL - black.
From Harold and Maude.
1971 Jaguar E-Type Hearse - black.

Some might say that there are too many cars in the world and their glorification & ubiquity in films & LEGO leads to less walkable & more dangerous towns & cities."
You might, but I live in the US. The more walkable the city is, the more dangerous it tends to be. The western US was also largely settled by people whose idea of a good neighbor was one that you’d never meet, and the federal government took ownership of large swathes of land, so there are a lot of small communities that are hours apart from each other by car, and nowhere near populous enough to support public transportation. The US has more land held under the National Park Service alone than the UK has land. If you roll in all lands controlled by the US National Forest Service, you’re looking at a combined total that’s over four times the size of the UK.
Every time I see or hear someone suggest we need to get rid of cars, I know they’re from a highly urbanized community. In NYC, there’s no room to park cars, the roads are inadequate for the number of cars they do have, and there are so many people trying to get so many places that the subway and bus system can be well-funded and get you to your destination faster than driving. Metro Detroit sprawls over an area that’s nearly five times that size, with less than half the population, and a population density that’s 1/10th that of NYC. The poorest people live in places where there are no jobs, because the public transportation system is spread over too large an area, has too little funding, and serves too small a clientele to get you anywhere in an efficient manner.
I’d buy the A-team van, bttf Delorean, K.i.t.t. , ecto-1 and the ford falcon from mad max!
The funny thing is, that German alternative that must not be named has unofficial versions in the scale of the Creator Expert vehicles of the following already available or announced (I have quite a few of them):
K.I.T.T.
Bandit's Firebird/TransAM
General Lee
2-in-1 James Bond Lotus Esprit/Submarine
Magnum's Ferrari
Colt Seavers' Pickup truck
Mr Bean Mini (as well as his blue three wheeler "Nemesis" )
Columbo's Peugeot 403
Starsky & Hutch Ford Gran Torino
A-Team Van
Terminator 2 black chase truck
DeLorean
Ghostbusters Ambulance
Cannonball Run Countach
Cannonball Run Ambulance
Cannonball Run (opening credits) Police Car
Breaking Bad mobile lab
Tanker truck from "Duel"
As well as several others, some also in Speed Champions scale.
Say what you want about unlicensed sets, but since the chances of many of them becoming official LEGO sets are slim to none, these are the best chance of getting those vehicles in brick built form.
And at least the ones I have are really great designs. Can't speak for all of them of course.
I would love to see some Transformers alt modes as speed champions sets. Even if they don't transform, it'd be great to have a Minifig-scale Optimus or jazz in my Lego layout!
2008 concept Camaro from 2007's Transformers is an all-timer. Also Columbo's 1959 Peugeot 403 for the TV cars better make the list.

I don't think Lego would do it (nothing to do with the license, I just have a hard time picturing them doing a van in Speed Champs), but if they did, you'd be obliged to say, upon completing the set, "I love it when a plan comes together!"
@AustinPowers: Are you saying that the sets from the other manufacturer didn't even get the license?
Totally unsuitable as far as LEGO's "values" are concerned, but the entire line-up from the original Death Race 2000 would be a great collection.
The Bullitt Mustang would need to be paired with the Bullitt Beetle.
@TheOtherMike said:
" @AustinPowers : Are you saying that the sets from the other manufacturer didn't even get the license?"
Indeed. Since they don't advertise them as such there doesn't appear to be a need for a licence. Some of these sets have been available for years, and so far there doesn't seem to have been any lawsuits.
Sure, it might be a grey zone, but since no one of the rights holders seem to care, why should I as a customer? Should I be angry that I can get a vehicle that looks like the Colt Seavers truck (for example) for about 50 Euro, or a Cannonball Run Countach lookalike? While an officially licensed Countach from LEGO costs 170 Euro and doesn't even look as good as the unofficial one?
Many of the associated properties seem to be of little interest to the rights holders anyway. The Fall Guy for example didn't even get a full DVD (let alone Blu Ray) release here in Germany. We only got seasons 1 and 2, and even those have been out of print for years.
Since the rights holders themselves apparently don't seem interested in marketing their property, why should a brick manufacturer try to obtain a licence?
And the best thing is, like with LEGO you can download the instructions for free and build the sets out of your own parts (if you have them in the colours needed). No need to even buy the sets if you don't want to give your money to a manufacturer you don't approve of.
Ok, so I can kinda guess why these wouldn't necessarily make it as "Speed Champions" as I doubt that they were especially speedy cars but I would love:
Genevieve, a 1904 Darracq (from the 1953 British movie of the same name)
and
The Leslie Special and Hannibal-Twin 8 from The Great Race (1965)
TV wise - KITT from Knightrider
"Baby" the 1967 Chevrolet Impala from Supernatural
anything from The Wacky Races
The Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo
1973 Ford Cortina from Life on Mars, coz who doesn't need a little Gene Hunt minifigure in their lives (ok, probably most people, but it would amuse me greatly)
I'm finding the number of people wanting cars from animated properties (and thus, cars that don't even necessarily have a physical object to base a Lego set off of) interesting.
@AustinPowers : So they don't have the trademarks on the package or anything like that? Transformers has been known to do something similar; a given character's alt-mode will resemble a given real-world model, but not closely enough to infringe on any trademarks. Of course, they've also done a number of robots with fully licensed alt-modes, mostly from the movies, but the Alternators line ( https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers:_Alternators ) were also licensed, and there have been others.

Thomas seems like an obvious choice (and briefly had a Duplo theme), but the franchise is now owned by Mattel, you know the company that owns Mega. It would require a LEGO-Hasbro Transformers deal between LEGO-Mattel to get Thomas in LEGO form again.
I'd also cross any 2-8-0's, 2-8-2's, 2-8-4's or 4-8-4's (or any eight wheeled engine) off the list too, unless LEGO retools the train wheel molds. I understand currently wheels are cast in sets of two flanged, one blind. Hence why we always get two drivers, four drivers, or six drivers on LEGO trains... but never eight.
That does leave Flying Scotsman, Jupiter & 119, and either of the trains from Back to the Future III; as the ones on your list I think would honestly have the best shot to be made real.

Ooh, I’d love a Speed Champions G1 Soundwave.
Definitely need and would buy Back to the future DeLorean
VW Beetle Herbie is a good call. All of these are great ideas, I especially would love to see more classics like the Mustang or Trans AM. Also, I know they're not movie, but from TV: KITT (Knight Rider), and Lancia Stratos (Transformers).

Okay then, iconic movie trains next!"
I may have missed a few, apologies in advance!"
Casey Jr. Come on, buddy, don't forget him!(Though, I should probably put mine back on IDEAS?)
Ford Cobra and Ferrari Spyder 365 GTB from Gumball Rally.
70 Challenger from Vanishing Point
70 Firebird and 68 Charger from Cannonball
69 Charger from Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry.
American Graffiti, pretty much all of those cars (55 Chevy, 32 Ford, 58 Impala, 55 Tbird,51 merc coupe)
Heck, even the 73 Mustang from the original Gone in 60 seconds.
Porsche 911 - Bad Boys
Bus - Speed

" @AustinPowers : So they don't have the trademarks on the package or anything like that? Transformers has been known to do something similar; a given character's alt-mode will resemble a given real-world model, but not closely enough to infringe on any trademarks."
Exactly. Their packaging for this line is very basic anyway. Just a brown cardboard box with their company logo and a few of the essential warnings and mandatory information like "Small parts that might be swallowed, not for kids under the age of..., and so on".
Every one of those boxes looks exactly the same, apart from the size of course (after all there are sets with maybe 150 parts as well as ones with more than 5,000 parts), and a small sticker on the side that shows a rendered image of the model and the set number, name and price.
And now that you mention Transformers, I have an official Transformers model from my childhood (with that cool black sticker you had to rub to warm up and make the Transformers or Decepticons logo appear for a short while) that looks exactly like a red Lamborghini Countach. Yet the box, which I still have, doesn't have any Lamborghini branding or licensing info at all. So apparently unlicensed as well.
I may be crazy and this might not suit the realism this article seems to take into consideration, but-
Pixar Cars. No, not 4 plus, but a proper lineup of 8 wide cars for older fans. Or at least 6 wide, I think that would work out well too as they don’t need to fit minifigs. Would perhaps be a good middle ground for adults wanting more detailed cars while not being too advanced for a 6/7 year old. Plus, filling the price gap speed champions left.

Definitely classified as a Speed Champion by the speed they rusted!
@madforLEGO: I'd love to see John Milner's Deuce Coupe in eight-wide. The only car that old we've even gotten from SC was in the six-wide days, in 75875.
@AustinPowers: Yeah, licensing worked differently in the Eighties, or companies didn't protect their trademarks as aggressively, or... something, I'm not quite sure. I'm assuming you have Sideswipe. https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:G1sideswipe.jpg And I'm going to be "that guy" and point out that it's not "Transformers or Decepticons," it's "Autobots or Decepticons," which were the two factions of Transformers.
@TheOtherMike : yes, that's the one exactly. And you're right, my bad, I should of course have remembered that it's Autobots for the good guys.
Speaking of good versus bad, another franchise I loved as a kid was M.A.S.K.

Oh yeah! Lego M.A.S.K. would be awesome!
That said, some time ago I rewatched one of the episodes, and let's just say some things better remain just a childhood memory....
(and don't get me started on G.I. Joe....)

I bought Season 1 of GI Joe for my son and he loves it. May have to splurge on the rest.
As for the article (lists of cars), I guess they’re just not my thing. The most ubiquitously listed IPs are either very old and/or questionable for LEGO. For the most part, I feel we’ve already seen the best movie cars in LEGO form. As a die hard Magnum fan, I’d obviously go for his Ferrari so long as it came with Thomas, Higgins, Orville, and TC (preferably with his helo).
Maybe instead of famous cars, LEGO should consider famous TV/Movie characters for a CMF series? Gregory House and Wilson, Wilson and Chuck Noland, Pedro Cerrano and Wild Thing, Jack Bauer and Chloe, William Wallace and Murron, The Prime Minister and Natalie, Elliott Ness and Capone, Natty Bumppo and Magua, Roger Murtaugh and Riggs, Ellen Ripley and Hudson, William Munny and Little Bill Daggett, Rose and Jack, Forrest and Bubba, Robert Gould Shaw and Silas Trip. :o)

I’ve built several, and 6-wide worked for Mater, Todd (Pizza Planet truck), Rod “Torque” Redline, Acer the Pacer, and Grem the Gremlin. Lightning and Holley Shiftwell needed to be 8-wide.
Mad Max, guys! Mad Max!
Would really like a Supra Mk.IV, but I'm very afraid, that it will look totally wrong due to the blocky nature of Lego not going well with bulbous cars.
A Mad Max Interceptor would be sweet! I guess Adam Grabowski aka "Misterzumbi" would be the perfect designer for it, as he has made multiple smaller scale MOCs of them already.
Oooh I would love the A-Team Van! with the whole crew. And the Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger. But on a whole other spectrum, I'd would also love to see the entrire series of Wacky Racers! with Dick Dasterdly and Penelope Pitstop :)
I built the Fast and Furious: 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV found on Rebrickable and it’s a great compliment to the Charger

Why not include the cars from the movie that inspired Wacky Racers as well? The Leslie Special and the Hannibal Twin-8 from the 1965 film "The Great Race' are as much a must as the Wacky Racers themselves! (If you've never seen the film, watch it. It's basically got Dick Dastardly in live action, four years before he and Muttley were created!) Bonus points if the Hannibal Twin-8 has working scissor-lift body and a hidden flick-fire cannon!

The Hannibal Twin-8 also better have a big red button on the dash. I would buy The Great Race cars in a heartbeat! I love that movie and all of its fun absurdities.
Nightrider!

Last year my dad suggested we go to a car show that would be playing a movie, and that was the movie. And a trailer pulled up and the actual screen-used-and-cast-signed Leslie Special was wheeled off for people to admire, at least until the intermission concluded.

What? This guy looks nothing like Immortan Joe.
Renault Turbo 2 from James Bond Never Say Never or Renault Fuego Turbo from James Bond A View To A Kill, preferably the first one.
Oh, as soon as I noticed the title, I knew which two are going to be included. It would be soooooooooooooooooooooo great to finaly buy DeLorean and Ecto-1 at an above-average price. Lotus Esprit and Volkswagen would also be cool.
If they make a herbie, I'll be so happy.

Shame on anyone who doesn't understand that joke.
Definitely down for a lot of the 1970's & 1980's TV & movie cars such as...
Ghostbusters Ecto-1
Magnum P.I. Ferrari 308 GTS
The A-Team Van
K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider
Colt Seavers GMC Pickup from The Fall Guy
Back to the Future DeLorean
Any of the wealth of James Bond cars (Astons, Lotus, Jaguar, BMW etc.)
Smokey & the Bandit Trans-Am
MacGyvers Jeep Cherokee
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Wagon (1987 Cartoon series)
Airwolf Helicopter (Not a car, I know, but still...it's Airwolf!)
The Rockford Files Pontiac Firebird
I'm sure there are many others, but those are all on my wishlist...

As far as I know, he’s the only actor who’s tied with Mel Gibson for frequency of appearances, though Max is the only character seen in all five movies. And Max and Furiosa are probably the only two characters to be played by three different cast members.
The A-Team GMC Vandura van and Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger. The Confederate flag roof would need to be omitted, and likely the "General Lee" nickname from the branding, but add a stand to make it look airborne, and I'm sold.

From A View To A Kill, you mean that one that ends up half a car? That's a Renault 11, not a Fuego.
Would be cool as SC set, especially if they can incorporate that special feature....

Hmm... thinking along those lines. We'd need a Wayne's World Gremlin.
Would love a MK IV Supra. Surprised they did the Skyline instead of the Supra for Fast and Furious.
I'd live to see some of the other vehicles from Smokey and the Bandit. In addition to the classic Firebird they could have sheriff Buford T Justice's police car. You could have the version at the start of the film, and the final version as an alternate build. The white Cadillac convertible they drive off in at the end, and of course the Snowman's classic truck with it's distinctive stagecoach printing on the side of the trailer.

Barbie's Corvette
Lego REAAAALLY needs to produce more Fast and Furious sets in Speed Champions scale! Creator scale too! Especially the cars from the 1st movie have become iconic with their uniquely designed vinyl graphics!
Smokey & The Bandit & Back To The Future please!
I'd settle for these, maybe make a Speed Champions Movies subtheme
- Ford Mustang Boss 429 (John Wick)
- Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 (John Wick Chapter II)
- Ferrari 330 P (Le Mans 66. the Ford GT40 is already a Speed Champions model)
- Sunbeam Alpine (James Bond. Dr No)
- Lamboghini Miura, Jaguar E-type, Fiat Dino, Mini Cooper S (The Italian job, 1969 edition)
- Citroen DS (Fantomas, Louis de Funes)

OH FUCK YES DUDE!
I'd still love a Speed Champions Herbie, but considering that Herbie Fully Loaded came out in 2005, maybe Disney would have to make another one to bring Number 53 back into the public eye. Although The Fast and the Furious came out in 2001, and that got a set. I've never seen any of the F&F movies, did that car show up in other movies in the series? Or is 76912 from Fast and Furious, the confusingly named 2009 sequel? I know that 76917 is from 2 Fast 2 Furious, which came out in 2003.
67 Camaro from Better Off Dead
