Two new Botanical sets revealed!
Posted by Huw,
Far more exciting and interesting than the Star Wars sets revealed earlier are the pictures of two additions to the hugely successful botanical collection that have also been published by French retailer Fnac.
10368 Chrysanthemum and 10369 Plum Blossom, which look to be both attractive and affordable, will be released on August 1st priced at €/$30.
View large images of both after the break.

I am so buying that Chrysanthemum for pieces. Banana recolors <3
£30?!?!?!?!? WOW. Thats actually very good IMO. Nice parts packs too. Im gonna have to sadly add them to the "sets I want but will never spare the budget for" pile though.
I think these two look more like alien world plants, and I love that.
Ah my favourite flower. And in Lego. And cheap ? WOW
The blending of the colour in the chrysanthemum looks really good. I wonder if the black bands around the stems are meant to be rubber bands holding the stems upright or if it is just a lack of the correct coloured part.
I'll get them as parts packs eventually
This is really good, nice to see cheaper options too and flowers other than roses.
I also really appreciate the inclusion of a pot and stand. My mother ran out of vases due to all our lego plants so has no where to put real flowers!
The pots look really nice!
Given the icons above the "Botanical collection", I guess it's safe to assume we'll be getting a bamboo and whatever the third one is too at some point ?
Both look very nice to me. And the price seems fair as well.
Very nice indeed.
They look very good but seriously, comments how cheap they will be are funny. :)
278 pieces and small size, no big elements, no prints
If we compare to 10311 Orchid we can see that this is not "wow, so cheap"
Those are beautiful! NPU for the feet of the stands!!
Price is nice too!
They should release a limited UCS Titan arum just available until Wednesday evening…

This. They look more like 20-25 dollar sets
Some of the smaller flowers in the yellow boxes are like 15 dollars and the cherry blossom one specifically has over 400 pieces. Sure, lots of 1x1, but these don’t have many large pieces either, pots aside
Those look really cool, especially with the pots and pedestals. Very decorative.
I love the pots, I love the plants, I love the price!
Affordable sets with good part usage, nice recolors, and shapely flower pots. They also mimic their real-life equivalents well. I'm sold on these.
Definitely on my list, I really love these.

Of course they not exactly cheap, but compared to lots of other sets these days that have absurd RRPs, these at least seem fair for what you get in terms of size, piece count, types of pieces, recolours etc.
Omg I love both of these! Such colorful sets and such perfect price points!
They remind me of something from another planet, and I love that.
Ooh, my mom loves chrysanthemums! Guess I know what I'm getting her for Christmas!

I noticed that too. At first I thought it was a regrettable issue of not using the right color, but the more I look at it, I think it’s intentional, as actual plants like that often have small ties to keep their stems upright and aligned like that. And there’s nothing about the plant itself that would make the stems connect to each other like that naturally. So I think it has to be an intentional design choice to represent ties on the stems.
Well these are both insta-buys for me to go alongside my Orchid and Bonsai tree sets.
Excellent new sets in the theme, which keeps on surprising and wondering me! NPU again as long as I can see...

So, additions to the Space supertheme, then? Why not?
:-)
So what's the betting that 10368 will hold the record for "most bananas in a single set" for a good while, if not forever? I'll probably not pick either of these up, but I love the pots as much as the plants. Speaking of those pots, @Briczk, I see some decently sized pieces in them.
YAYYYY! Botanical is my absolute favorite collection (my cats are far too interested in live plants) so I’m thrilled they’re adding more to for variety in style, size, and price point!!
Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely candidates for multiple copies.
Can't beat a few Crymanthathoms.....

It’s cool that these come with pots. Love it.

That particular record might have been my goal ;)
There are 8 in flame yellow, 8 in new red-orange, and 20 in regular orange.
the four circles at the top show at least two more, I think an Orchid and a Bamboo
I liked everything about the blossom .
These are gorgeous. I particularly love the vases—they're both nicely ornate and well-proportioned compared to the plants themselves.

So would you say you... went bananas designing this set?

A brilliant addition to 10329 Tiny Plants. Thanks!

Do you mean you want them to or they are?
Oddly, I’ve bought almost all of the botanical sets, yet these don’t grab me the same way. I like the vases, but the plants themselves seem to have a different style than what we’ve seen to this point. Will probably pass, but seeing them build in store may sway me.
The chrysanthemum has a very ingenious use of the Technic thin liftarms to represent the bands holding the blossoms bundled and upright. Since they provide the build actual stability, I think it's really deserving of an NPU callout.
Chrysanthemums and plum blossom are favourites in East Asia, so I suspect that is the region being primarily targeted by LEGO with these sets.

Unless I’m very much mistaken, Jackthenipper means neither. It’s a joke about an unusual flowering at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

well for 300 pieces...right
These look fantastic! Easy buy for sure
A new subtheme - Mahjong flowers: Plum blossom, Orchid, Chrysanthemum, Bamboo
Btw as much as I love these, that's not a chrysanthemum. More like a red spider lily.
I just want those pots, I'm a sucker for any new pieces in any of the sand colours.
