A second Technic Koenigsegg Jesko, 42184, has been revealed at LEGO.com.
It's a white version of the previously revealed grey one, 42173, and will be released on the same day, August 1st.
LEGO has dabbled in recolouring Technic models several times recently, (42151 Bugatti Bolide and 42162 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue, and 42161 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica and 42196 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica Orange, for example) but has never released the two versions on the same day before now.
Producing two 'identical' models is going to be cheaper than making two different ones, obviously, so it must be worthwhile doing so. Completests will need to buy both, and those that don't like one may well like the other.
What other models would you like to see made in a different colour?

i swear they pick the most mid sets to recolour, beyond the fiat 500 and maybe those creator dinosaurs it's all just been ehhh
I always thought the Porsche 911 10295 would have looked better in reddish brown or green with tan interiors, especially in the 'unadorned' 1970s styled hard top set up which is how my copy is displayed...

Cobi often releases a particular airplane model in several color schemes at once. I'm not sure how I feel about Lego doing that too.
I wouldn’t mind a remake of 10304 in red with black stripes down the middle.
They need to do this with Jangos Slave One.
And a basic paintscheme LAAT/I had the Coruscant Gunship been designed smoother.

We need a Jango Fett Slave 1 so bad, it's not funny. That and a bounty hunter pursuit remake...
God save us from recoloured 1:8 supercars :D Bankruptcy would go insanely high..
I could imagine them making colourful flowers or Technic F1s with different liveries.
10337 in black or red or yellow please
Not Technic and not current but I want a fleet of 6530s in whatever different colours the available parts will allow.
Most of the Technic sets I've got are industrial plant vehicles and the 'right' colour.
Of others, I'd really like to see the Land Rover Classic Defender 40650 in pretty much any colour other than the hideous yellow it is!

In itself I think it's a good idea to make recolors of many more sets. Might convince some people that didn't like the original color to buy the set, might make some just buy all of them. And all at just minimal investment. Sounds like a win for both Lego and the customer.
Just think that this should have been the initial color, and the other color could have been a bit more flashy. Like it is now we got boring-plain, and appropriately-plain.

I could build red and black ones with the parts I have. But, I want different “glass” colours too and it’ll be a bit expensive to build them with Trans Brown canopies.
Well, Technic was already running on fumes, and I think it's finally fallen out of the sky.

100% this. They already did the 911 from green to white, and released it in a single pack.
I'd love to see the Ferrari 812 (76914) into dark blue. 76917 into the blue version from Fast & Furious.
I know we're leaning cars, but 10328 seems like an easy choice. And of course 71037-3!

They recoloured the Porsche 911 from 75888 (green) to white, 75895
Personally I'd have appreciated 42110 in a colour other than olive green, it's a great set apart from that.
On an unrelated note, this year has been appalling for Technic thus far; and last year wasn't much better. We've had some great new parts, but all the sets have been outrageously overpriced or identikit cars with almost zero functionality. I was looking forward to the Volvo but that also looks distinctly less than properly functional. The Orrery is great, despite being overpriced, but still, Technic has been going downhill for a while now :/
At least we've got the Dune Ornithopter I suppose!

This is also a great call. I like displaying them in different colours; it's a bit of a bore that all the Ferraris are red for example, although it's not remotely surprising. I'd love the Countach in a colour that wasn't white too, so we could at least try to colour-match the windscreen piece!

I would prefer Ferrari's to stay red, but other cars, I wouldn't mind a colour swap.

Given that at least three molds (the canopy, the canopy hinge, and the front fender slope) in that set are no longer produced, that'd be a whopping total of... zero colors.

It's good to have more than one color in certain sets. I wish we had more options in 10220 T1 Camper. And for this particular set, none of the colors feel exotic. Same goes for the 10337 Lamborghini Countach, or the 10295 Prosche 911.

I don't mind the recolor! I do wish they'd done a slight change, too, though: do the non-Absolute version of the Jesko. All they'd have to do is provide different aero parts. Or they could've included those parts within the set like they did with the 911.

One could argue that these new sets aren't Technic either, since they don't actually have any technical functions to speak of.
Somewhat off-topic, but I'd like the canopy from 60430 Interstellar Spaceship in all the Transparent colors.

My main gripe with the Jesko is that someone made an executive decision to not include the iconic rear wing, and the car looks stupid without it. Something they didn't bother to rectify with the re-issue.
I don't mind colour re-issues, but feel that they should offer something different to make them appeal to those who bought the original models. So maybe adding a different livery, body kit, or race spec vs road version. Just changing the colour of the elements seems somewhat lazy, and often unnecessary
I'll also add - LEGO desperately needs to move away from over-using orange and lime green. It's getting boring now. With so many colours available to use, there are far too many orange and lime green cars. I would love cars (preferably Porsches) in magenta and purple. Just please,, NO MORE orange and lime green!
